I really like this type of video. I watched the one yesterday about non-fiction books. Today I went to the library bookstore and applied what I learned from you. Thank you!
All of the civil war stuff I've sold has been person or region specific and has done really well. Lots of war and military buffs out there. Funny story: I sold a set of rubber stamps at auction on eBay once and it didn't do too well. The woman that won the auction felt so bad for me that she wrote me a nice note and sent me 5 bucks. 😂 I'll never forget that.
Shane, At the age of 77, I am no longer physically able to run my Ebay book business. How would you recommend that I sell everything, including packing and shipping supplies and bookcases? The Ebay comps are probably in the $17,000-18,000 range and I'm asking $5,500 for everything. I live in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
I check US ONLY for listed and comps, absolutely when i'm sourcing. If an international buyer wants my item, it's a sale to me. Just sold 2 railroad logging books as a lot for $115: Denver & rio grande
I've sold some yearbooks, but mostly they don't seem to sell and I was thinking of not buying them unless they are free or nearly so. I saw somewhere a seller said most yearbooks sell for $20 and only about 5% of them sell, so if you buy them for $1, you break even. That sounds like a hard no!
I sold the story of civilization by will Durant for $250 with shipping just a few days ago. Paid $21 for the complete set.

Great Idea Lotting up the Images of America books. Have a bunch just sitting on my shelf for months. Thank You Shane!

I just picked up a pallet of about 600 civil war books. Could be a nice haul.
I love these types of videos. I learn so much information that I then apply to my Ebay store.

After some reflection, I’m getting off the yearbook kick too- especially for th
*the really big ones. Heavy, hard to box, and slower moving.
I do still like the really old high school ones though.
