Shit it
It’s a really good show this, admittedly the first series isn’t the strongest but once your in series 2 it picks up and becomes brilliant not to mention one of the best characters in the whole show appears in the first episode of series 3. And since you can get this show on TH-cam as long as the intro is cut out it seems like a good show to start, watch and finish. Although you have watched the musical special and horror special after only seeing one “normal” episode it hasn’t spoiled anything other than that major plot point in series 3, so I really do recommend giving this show a full chance starting from series 1 episode 1.
Series 1 is ok, series 2 to 6 is the peak of the show, series 7 was quite good tbh, series 8 wasn’t as good as 7 mainly due to the lack of munch and series 9 is garbage.
2 pints of larger and a packet of crisps is like friends on speed.
When are you gonna come back to this show, it gets really good

One of my favourite facts about Two Pints is that Susan Nickson wrote the very first episodes script and pitched it to the BBC when she was only 16 years old and they loved it but they told her that she was too young to be employed as a writer and that she had to come back and pitch the script again when she turned 18. She did just that and it was picked up for a series almost immediately.
If you watch the first episode and think that it was written by an actual child it’s almost unbelievable.
Used to love this as a teen. It was the Inbetweeners of the early 00s crossed with friends but a more realistic British friends. You should watch it from series 1 ep 1 tho

Interesting fact .... the girl who plays Donna, Natalie Casey, was the youngest person ever to have a Top 100 single in the UK when the then 3 year old charted with 'Chick, Chick, Chicken' in 1984
Yeah, she also sang the song in the episode 'When Jonny met Sharky' didn't she.

Definitely carry on in order if you want to see more. Each episode tends to cliffhanger to the next one or at least makes reference to things from the previous episodes.
As the show progresses, there’s big moments in each relationship/friendship that would be completely ruined and would be nonsensical if you jump around at random.

Absolutely brilliant show once it gets going, series 1 to 6 are definitely the peak of the show, 7 and 8 are ok and 9 shouldn’t of happened. Best to watch the show in order or you’ll miss important storylines

The group is Steps. Sheridan Smith & Ralph Little played a couple in another 90s sit com before this. The Royle Family. Its very Northern British & one of my favourite things ever.
The show is based in a town called Runcorn, I unfortunately grew up in that town.
That's awesome. Going to the pub where the show was filmed.
I loved that show. The theme song was so catchy.
The song that plays when Louise is exercising is called steps 5678 also this was and is my favorite show to this day

Started watching this from the very first episode when I was 8. Trying to explain to slightly worried teachers that this (with its very nsfw content) was one of my favourite programmes of the time was quite difficult 😄 Natalie Casey was also one of my first girl crushes, I later worked out.
That hospital parts were filmed in a really hospital in Runcorn, Halton General (been in there many times); expect the A&E Department (now not there anymore) is / was at the opposite end of the hospital and where Janet & Jonny emerged from (before she twatted him) was the Physiotherapist department, they were all stood in the main lobby / reception area of the hospital.

It's funny seeing Kathryn Drysdale (Louise) in this. It's been an age since I watched Two Pints, never watched it very much. Kinda forgot she was in it. I have been watching Benidorm much more recently, and her turn as Natalie in that is very good. But it's spooky looking back at this, how similar her character seems to Liam, her wannabe love interest in Benidorm.

Went to a few recordings at Television Centre of the show and the outtakes in the pub were a joy to watch. Always blown my mind it was written by one woman (every ep for many series) before she turned 19! Remember my party befriending a bunch of Sheridan's friends in the audience and they let slip that she was off to film for Benidorm & meeting James Corden later as they were dating at the time.
The writer was the winner of a competition by BBC 3 looking for young writers. I entered it myself when I was still in High School and I guess they preferred to produce this rather than my abstract chaotic and probably poorly written pirate sitcom.
The band is steps and ironically I'm wearing a t-shirt of them as we speak🤣

Definitely do more of this. Loved watching it as it was towards my age group ☺ these are brilliant and little thing you may not know. But the last episode of the seasons one person from the cast is aloud to say the F word but its never said in any other episode just the last one of every season.

Blast from the past! Great to see it again. Some of the humour hasn't aged brilliantly in my opinion, but they have good chemistry and the slow has real charm to it. I'd like to see more 👍 Thanks for another great reaction!

Love Two Pints, got series 1-6 on DVD. I went to see one of the shows get recorded for a school trip, can't remember what the episode was called though.

yes you defiantly have to watch it in order, not so much the first series however there are lot's of in jokes in latter episodes like regarding a irrational fear gaz has. the main reason to watch in order though is that latter on it became a little bit of a drama where *spoiler*
janet cheats on johnny with gaz then janet becomes pregnant but it's not known which one is the father which becomes a point of contention several series on.

I'd forgotten Liz from Coronation Street was in Two Pints of Lager... early on. Incidentally taffe316, if you decide to do another One Foot in the Grave video, I recommend the episode 'Hearts of Darkness' from series 4 - this and the very last episode feature the two darkest twists of the whole show. Best wishes and respect from Scotland. 👍🏻
This is pretty dated but also a good representation of the time. We all spoke like that, even those of us who were only about 15 at the time.

I'd recommend Knowing me knowing you with Alan Partridge, everybody loves a bit of AP but not many have listened to the radio version. I laughed, which is something rarely said about two pricks and a packet of twats.
Probably couldn't get away with that on Twitch tbh with you. There copyright rules have been a lot stricter than TH-cam's as of late.
