Two Pints with Will & Ralf is a podcast featuring lifelong friends and professional actors, Ralf Little and Will Mellor. Popularly known from playing main roles together in Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps, the 2000s show.
Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps is a British sitcom that ran from 26 February 2001 to 24 May 2011. First broadcast on BBC Two, it starred Ralf Little, Will Mellor, Natalie Casey, Sheridan Smith, Kathryn Drysdale, and Luke Gell. Created and written by Susan Nickson and set in her hometown of Runcorn, Cheshire, it originally revolved around the lives of five twentysomethings. Little departed after the sixth series, and Smith and Drysdale left after the eighth series. The ninth and final series had major changes with new main cast members and new writers.
Ralf Alastair John Little is an English actor, writer, presenter, narrator and former semi-professional footballer, working mainly in television comedy. He played Antony Royle in The Royle Family and Jonny Keogh in the first six series of Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps. Since 2020, he has starred as DI Neville Parker in Death in Paradise. He also is the narrator of Channel 5's The Yorkshire Farm, which follows the life of the Owen family on their Yorkshire Farm (2018-2020).
William Mellor is an English actor, singer, and model. He is known for his roles as Jambo Bolton in Hollyoaks, Gaz Wilkinson in Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps, DC Spike Tanner in No Offence, Steve Connolly in Broadchurch, Georgie in Barking!, and Ollie Curry in White Van Man. In 2021, he began appearing in the ITV soap opera Coronation Street as Harvey Gaskell.
Susan Nickson is an English screenwriter, television producer and script editor. She is the creator and writer of the BBC sitcoms Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps (2001-2011) and Grownups (2006-2009).
Nickson won the Lloyds Bank Film Challenge at the age of 14 with a ten-minute short film called Buddah's Legs. She then wrote a half-hour comedy for Channel 4 called Life's A B*tch. Her most famous series, Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps, was created while she was in secondary school and ran for ten years. She appeared briefly in one episode of the show, as a patient waiting to be seen in A&E while Gaz and Jonny were both patients. In April 2010, it was announced that Nickson would leave the series to focus on a number of new projects in both England and the United States. In addition to writing and creating her own shows, she has also worked as a producer and script editor.
Kathryn Drysdale is a British actress known for her role as Grace Shelley in The West End show The Ruling Class opposite James McAvoy, as Taylor in the film St Trinian's, Rhoda Swartz in Mira Nair's Vanity Fair, and Louise Brooks in the BBC comedy series Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps from 2001 until her departure from the show in 2009. She has also starred in the fourth series of the ITV sitcom Benidorm and as Brownwell in William Boyd's award-winning Any Human Heart opposite Jim Broadbent. She previously worked with Broadbent on Mira Nair's feature adaptation of William Thackeray's Vanity Fair starring Reese Witherspoon. She played the role of mixed-race heiress Rhoda Swartz. She is also known for her role as Lizzie in the drama series Tripping Over by Mike Bullen. She appeared in Doctor Who as Bliss in the episode "Love & Monsters".
