      Hey,
      I think it would be way more interesting now if you compared all thr fitness/smart watches you have tried and rank them explaining why... I want to buy one... But I want to see comparison videos of people who've actually tried them. That would be so cool

    I'm actually pretty excited about this versa. Perfect timing since my original versa crapped out

    • @svgranger
      @svgranger 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Why? There is nothing new here.

    • @MindControl3
      @MindControl3 5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@svgranger Voice control, expanded app library, and a fitbit premium service that serves to offer a deep dive into the analytics that your fitbit is already recording? Other companies might have voice controls and more apps, but the depth of fitness data that fitbit has is unrivaled in the world.

    • @svgranger
      @svgranger 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@MindControl3 Yes, but it's not new. Premium is coming as software update anyways. Which means my current versa will be able to do the same, plus already NEED your phone for voice commands, music streaming, and fitbit pay so it's redundant to use the watch that way when your holding your phone in the other hand. Fitbit analytics are elementary compared to Suunto or garmin. That is why i no longer use one. It's great for beginners but is easily out grown. I loved mine til i realized it didn't do much of what i needed. Example Vo2 tracking.

    Another great review! Sorry to hear there is no offline support :( - Samsung had the feature years ago. The slowness with Alexa searches sounds more than annoying and far too buggy. It is too bad Fitbit has not used the $40 million to better uses after purchasing Pebble. The AOD (always on display) does sound like a nice feature - just like their old Fitbit Surge!

    • @richlaue
      @richlaue 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      What do you mean by offline support?
      As for the speed of Alexa yea it might not be supper fast.
      The watch records your voice, sends the recording to the phone, the phone then sends the recording to the Alexa server. The Alexa Server then sends back an answer to the phone, the phone then sends the answer to the watch.
      How fast is your Internet connection?

    Thanks for the video. It will help me to decide if I wish to purchase this watch. I am not very supportive of the subscription based model for anything. Companies need to look at Adobe for what they can expect as a user reaction. Adobe has lost a ton of customers over their going to a monthly subscription plan. Smart people purchase things. They don’t rent and then not actually own something after years of subscribing. Only millennials have fallen for these silly subscriptions. Better to own and keep. I own all my music.

Btw I like that you put some manly tools in the background like saw and hammer when talking about FitBit. Even though they're targeting woman, FitBit is my preference also as there's no good alternatives in the market for the time being.

      To be useful for training, you need to track Heart Rate Variability over a period and compare to a baseline. You also need a measurement that can be compared with a device that has known accuracy. You need the right dashboard and interpretations to use the measurement properly.

    The Versa and Versa 2 is probably Fitbit’s worst variant of the lot. It’s a cheaply made smartwatch which is marketed as an alternative to the original Apple Watch for budget-tight consumers. Not only does it lacks so many functions available in cheaper smart-bands these days, the Versa is overly priced just as a DW watch. I can’t imagine someone spending that much money on a gimmicky smartwatch LOL
