I played this in seventh grade too, I was playing randomly on my piano and accidentally played a part of the melody and now I play it all the time. I’m in 11th grade now
Sarah Beisner Ik this is 4 years ago, but woooo! I’ve learned oboe, trumpet, violin, flute and bassoon and bassoon is hands down my favorite. It’s currently my primary instrument
My band's learning this now. The people who I use this channel with, all of us are in the band. One brass player, one woodwind, and me, the percussionist. I have to play snare for this and I simply love it. I also like the brass part, almost makes me wanna learn it.
truegoldenflames No... 9th grade. My school system doesn't have marching band until high school. In fact, we don't have band until junior high. And I have only learned cut time in 8th grade. ;)
Currently playing this in my band, the melody of the Clarinet (As a Clarinet player it's amazing to experience it) simply flows amazingly, paired with the trombone and other low brass accompanies, this is a masterpiece.
This song came into my head after seven years of not hearing it or even looking at the sheet music from a competition my band was in my eighth grade year.
I'm in 8th grade, and we played this song a little bit (not sure if it will be for our concert), and i love it. It's really fun. Especially our cool trombone part (I play 1st trombone with the 3 7th graders that play 2nd in this song). It's real fun!
This was the only song our band teacher ever told us to -give back- to him after butchering the first time so badly...we were allowed to see it again a few months later, after he let us listen a recording of how the song -should- go. Made a big difference.

I played this back in 8th grade and I really enjoyed it. I graduated last year in 2016 and I still remember the last part played by low brass since I was a trombone. The last section near the end was actually a chair test and it was the first chair test I made 2nd chair. From then on I was either 3rd or 2nd but in my senior I was actually 1st. Aaah memories
We played this for the All State Middle School Band 2014-2015 it was indeed a challenge, and by the end after two days and playing a total of 17.5 hours out of 48 hours, we nailed it and the amount of applause lasted for at least 3 mins
