The German's were really really good at making this my all time favorite type of music. Hearing it in the backround all over place in the late 60's to early 70's. My favorite era as well.😊
Driving overnight in Germany in the '60s and 70s for the first time, it was a revelation that so called muzak could be so captivatingly entertaining.
That's super smashin beltin champion news!
Makes me think of quiet, well-tended lawns, with lots of rose bushes in full bloom, around late 60's or the turn of the 70's.
In the early '70s German FM radio stations could occasionally be heard in UK due to freak atmospheric propogation, many hundreds of miles beyond the normal 50 mile or so normal range. And oh boy, here in the UK this meant brilliantly compiled non-stop 'Tanz un Schlager Musik' programmes. Overnight Musik bis zum Fruen Morgen' entertained superbly. In mid evening Musik ist International was another constant delight. BBC Radio 2 was consigned to oblivion through boredom at those times.
I used to hear this kind of music in Airport lounges when I accompanied my Mum and Dad on trips. I would have been 12 maybe 13 but I remember loving the sound of it and have held it in great affection ever since. Its wonderful to hear how fresh and lovely it still sounds today. Many thanks for sharing
This was EVERYWHERE in the early 70's but faded in this hemisphere due to changing cultural winds. Rap emerged around 79 and the radio stations abandoned this lofi music.
It didn't have a name, but it was Not EZ
listening music.
I lost my wife two years ago. This helps.
I swear, this was the summer of my life
What was the year?

That's a sign for good music.
wow, I love this. I remember hearing this kind of music when I was growing up in the 70s
Me too. I remember as early as 3 years old in 1968. Then by around 1975 you didnt really hear it around. Thats what made the late 60's to early 70's so special to me. Hearing this excellent music everywhere in the backround of shopping malls and office buildings. Even some gas stations Ah those were the days.😊
This is so relaxing for background music.
Major Props my friend... grew up listening to this kind of beautiful swinging, Sane music... feels like I'm back in 1964. Love the German girl singers with the competent Addy Flor Orchestra.....
Much of this vocal wordless backing was from UK and American session singers earning a very good living in the Bundesrepublik Deutschland.
Great to hear anything about how this music was performed.. many thanks! Perhps the most famous vocal group to record in Deutschland from America was the incredible "Singers Unlimited" with Gene Puerling's genius arranging skills. Peace out from Texas.@@cfb15jan
