Checking the Weight and Parasites

I wanted to get an idea of what our lambs and kids were weighing so we got them up and weighed the larger ones. The ideal weight is usually 65-70 lbs. on lambs and slightly smaller on kids. Be sure to check your local markets as this varies a lot. We don't have enough over 70 right now to justify hauling them to a sale versus the extra feed cost to keep them until more are ready.
