Hey guys, I want to thank you all for the support for my animations, as I would not be here without you guys! Here is to another (semi-)successful premier! 🥂 Also, this video has some pretty cool references and lore to jslegomaster and his ‘Story of Sergeant Winterbottom’ series. After the devastating loss at Gallipoli, Sgt. Winterbottom is promoted to the rank of lieutenant and is sent to fight at the Somme, where he tragically gets killed in action. My headcanon is that it is the son, Sgt. Winterbottom Jr. who fights in WW2 to avenge his father's death at the Somme, and is not the same Winterbottom who fights at Gallipoli
Dude this might be the best animation you made since the Stalingrad full video. Seriously. Some British soldiers having brown folded hats is accurate, because they would have actually been Australians! Some soldiers’ faces being terrified and some being normal is a good detail too, since 1 soldier might have gotten there yesterday and another last year. Pretty much everything in this video is gold. Keep it up. I wanna make stuff like this once I get the proper software and apps.
Mate, this is one of the best animations I have ever seen, the quick movement, the efforts, the voice acting, the moment of silence before jumping back into action. It's just, Perfection I don't think it gets better than this boys🗣️🗣️🔥🔥💯💯
I think a French version of the Somme would also be so cool if you have a guy like this who can animate so well he can pull off how the French succeeded on their objective
I love the rusty and rough look of the minifigures. It looks super realistic while keeping that somewhat awesome "toy" feeling Absolutely peak animation, bro is gonna be the next JD Brick Productions
Not only was this Cheezy’s best film yet in terms of quality, but I noticed how much more this film portrayed the horrors of war. Even though it’s just Legos, I almost felt myself tearing up on the inside because this actually happened to thousands of young men. Lest we forget 🙏
These animations feel so, idk how to say this but they feel life-like. Despite the rough framerate, every movement seems so smooth. Definitely underrated. And to think I discovered ur channel through a shopee review 😭
Dang bro this is actually amazing. I truly appreciate the practical effects for the explosions with the mountains and the cotton for the muzzle flashes. It gives it that stopmotion feel and makes it fit in with the setting. I can also appreciate the practical blood effects they always seem to look better. I also like how you depicted the fear of some of the British with their body language of when they are frightened and when someone gets shot their body reacts to it and 2:01 was one of the most brutal deaths that I saw it really makes you see probably what they saw in the somme and Dude you gotta keep going your stop motions are actually amazing I enjoy them very much same with a lot of others. Keep going!!
I really like how you did not use bullet tracers in your film, seaming tracer bullets were not around in 1916, a neat detail. I also really like how you put Australians in the attack, because it was the Australian's who made some of the first actual breakthrough in the German lines at the Somme, capturing some key objectives. Another neat detail that people may tend to overlook. Well done.
Man, Imagine being one of these men, knowing that if you happen to survive the charge, your next task is to eliminate every enemy in the trench. Their sacrifice will not be forgotten. Great vid!!
Man that animation quality is just amazing, the amout of horror that those soldiers experienced is portrayed brilliantly, i haven`t seen close combat of that quality in lego animation like ever i think, after all youve and those who helped you with that piece of art did wery good job :)
Amazing brickfilm. The tension, the emotion, the animation, the camera work, the practical effects… it’s out of this world. « LEGO is just a toy », « Animation is for kids » they said. Well you proved these two commonly heard tropes wrong. Great work! Also I hate to be that guy but I wouldnt be Capitaine Croissant without mentioning that the French Army was also there (unsurprisingly), and suffered important losses too :) Someone who doesn’t know much about this battle could guess from this video that it was solely Brits vs Germans, but the croissants were here too!
This is absolutely incredible. This genuinely seems like it was made by a big budget studio. At times I felt very tense, even though it’s just Lego. Amazing work
Your work is masterfull. The characters animation, camera movement, sound design, framing, editing is just top notch. You are a great creator, you're gonna go far
This is the best Lego stop motion I've ever seen. This is a really good representation of the cruelty of war with Lego stop motion. I felt like I was watching a scene from a war movie. Good work 👍
The arty on the background before the attack, perfect, and the sequence of PTSD then death, really shows the reality and the Battle, *perfect* Tell your family by me, they are amazing, because, mentioning them in the video, they must be amazing
Bloody phenomenal! This captured the horrors of war perfectly from the facial expressions to the audio effects and the cinematography is amazing. This should be nominated for an Oscar 🙌🏼
Great WW1 brickfilm!🔥 The use of close-ups and shaky cam reinforces immersion in the horror of the battle! I'm still a fan of your technique for the shots and bullet impacts!👍
This is my first time watching this, and by more than a mile, this is my favorite WW1 Lego animation. Like, I’m sure some know about JD Brick Productions and his work, credit where credit is due, he is good. I just can’t help but absolutely LOVE this one more than JD’s. You’ve absolutely nailed it with the camera work. These Lego guys, actually feel like real people with how fluid they fall. During the charge, the one officer, with black hair, I think. The way you made his weight to pull him back, was absolutely phenomenal. As I saw another guy, say, call me a Glazer, but I absolutely love and adore your masterpiece!
Didn’t think it was possible, but the Dieppe Raid has a new competitor! This is incredible, probably your best yet! The blood is amazing with this one, and the trench combat was some of the best I’ve ever seen! Great job! :-)
That is very good animation I don’t understand how you make this in stop motion studio pro You have big talent for stop motions feel free to continue😎😁
As always, your animations are so smooth and watch. Never gets bored everytime I watch your stopmotions. Awesome and Excellent work. Lego military stopmotions should be like these, smooth and natural
I mean…I don’t even know what to say. The set, the figs, the attention to detail and continuity, the use of short audio clips from WW1 media, The fluid animation, the effects, The expressiveness of it all. I cannot find the words to describe how much I appreciate the work that must go into these. I’ve been watching Lego animations for a long time, at least 10 years. Grew up on JSLegoMaster and MrPearlJack, among god only knows how many others. I know a lot of them by heart at this point. And in all this time watching these animations, I’ve never seen something done with Lego brick that truly captures the feeling of something like Saving Private Ryan, Passchendaele, or All Quiet on the Western Front. A war movie that’s not afraid to show the true depth, carnage and chaos that war brings. How small and hopeless it must make these men feel. How terrified they were. How no matter if they live through the war, they won’t get a happy ending, just a delayed one, constantly haunted by the experiences they had. At least until now. I think it was the Dieppe Raid which was my introduction to this channel. I had never seen anything quite like it except in massive movie productions. Everything about it was mind blowing to me. And it’s only gone from there; Stalingrad, Normandy, and now the Somme. These animations have continuously blown me away. So I guess what I’m trying to say is thank you. Thank you for making these, for devoting so much time and effort to make them feel real. Thank you for still uploading and keeping this community going, what little is left of it.
Whoah this is really good! I'm captivated by moving Legos! Being a ww1 and ww2 nerd that's saying something. I loved how you made visible the smoke and flash from the guns. I think those small details make it...side note: I read a ww1 vet describing combat. He mentioned getting to a defilade and looking back behind him toward his lines. Right as he did this young kid caught a burst from an enemy gun. He said he dropped him with the first shot and then just pushed him along the ground like a tin can with another burst...scary.
Oh! Man I didn’t even comment on this masterpiece? This was great Cheezy! I loved the effects and the overall animation. I especially loved the soldier who used his gun as a melee weapon like sergeant winterbottom! You always outdo yourself cheezy! Great job!
Wow this was amazing! I loved the wide shots they must’ve token forever. I really line the realism you put in this, especially the shrapnel. Most deaths and injuries in war are caused by shrapnel and not gunfire so that was a nice detail. I also really liked how you didn’t make it just a bunch of mindless people running into battle, a lot of them felt like they had emotion. Great work mate!
Your animations are so good and blow me away every time and I know you don’t do tutorials but maybe could you do a behind the scenes video to see what you do for the camera movement but it’s fine if you can’t?
Hey guys, I want to thank you all for the support for my animations, as I would not be here without you guys! Here is to another (semi-)successful premier! 🥂

I don't think it gets better than this boys🗣️🗣️🔥🔥💯💯
You should really check out lc animations
Great video dude. The immense work that was put into this is unreal !!
Do the b battle of Verdun WW1
Anyone who thinks this is bad is in trouble, this guy is simply the best at making Lego animations.
I love how claustrophobic it feels in the beginning. Really makes it feel atmospheric. Amazing job!
Thanks!
call me a glazer, but this is genuinely the best lego animator
I agree!
Glazer, but your right
yeah
I agree, Cheezy balls or JD Brick productions
AINT no one gonna call u a glazer man you good
That Battlefield 1 sounds like kill in 4:49 and Lewis MG 3:08 are perfect. Your animation style is great and I love how you make it REALISTIC.
Brother got a god kill streak
When British World War I one soldiers played battlefield one and they were in the battle of the Somme:
5:15 the iconic Sgt Winterbottom melee kill from part 3 of his story
I see you are a man of culture
I was about to comment that
@@MasterOFplastic sorry that I beat you to it maybe another Lego war creator has it
@@xanderm7231 Don't sweat it, man
The multi-dimensional angles, the gore and the VA skills are topnotch! As a war history enthusiast, I'll rate it 10/10
Bro dropped the coldest lego stop motion and left us without a blanket 🥶🥶
The animation, is same as realistic human. It is the best thing you have ever done cheezy. You will be a legend
The bf1 bayonet charge soud' at 4:50 😅. Goated animations as always . Wortj every wait
They call it no man's land and it will never change. I admire the work put into this

Absolutely peak animation, bro is gonna be the next JD Brick Productions
I love how you are able to capture all the chaos of war so easily. For just being legos, it seems so realistic.
演出、カメラワーク、演技も全てがクオリティ高くて驚愕しました。
ただ戦闘を描写しただけじゃなく、映画的な映像の作り方で見ていて満足感がすごい。
My man, this is unbelievably good. I can’t even comprehend how you can pull this kind of masterpiece off. 100/10.
Bro’s the next JD Brick Productions
I think of the best things to make any animation better is to HUMANIZE the figures and give them life.
Not only was this Cheezy’s best film yet in terms of quality, but I noticed how much more this film portrayed the horrors of war. Even though it’s just Legos, I almost felt myself tearing up on the inside because this actually happened to thousands of young men. Lest we forget 🙏
I love the 10 second flip from calm to hell
I love your animations I’ve watched the video like 20 times already!!! I want to make my own animation but could use some help.
These animations feel so, idk how to say this but they feel life-like. Despite the rough framerate, every movement seems so smooth. Definitely underrated. And to think I discovered ur channel through a shopee review 😭

Yup
4:55 Sergeant Winterbottom himself arrived

Incredible, I really liked how you achieved the explosions

I have watched many lego ww1 videos and I can say that this is one of the most realistic
Danke!
Oh wow, thank you so much! I appreciate it!
I love how zoomed in it is other Somme mocks are of an overall map but you’ve zoomed it in to see each individual soldiers experience
The arty on the background before the attack, perfect, and the sequence of PTSD then death, really shows the reality and the Battle, *perfect*
Tell your family by me, they are amazing, because, mentioning them in the video, they must be amazing
They definitely mean the world to me, thank you!

i like how you show the suspense and the fear before they start charging
Bloody phenomenal! This captured the horrors of war perfectly from the facial expressions to the audio effects and the cinematography is amazing. This should be nominated for an Oscar 🙌🏼

Man this is crazy good shows perfectly how freaking brutal that was
4:10 the Lewis gun .... the infantry soldiers basic mow em down weapon 😮

Winterbottom is top soldier
(Awesome film, absolute chaos, RIP those who died at the Somme)
The inclusion of Medal of Honor's "Dogs of War" put chills down my spine.
Incredible animation 🙏🏻
Probably the best Stop Motion EVER🔥🔥🔥
Didn’t think it was possible, but the Dieppe Raid has a new competitor! This is incredible, probably your best yet! The blood is amazing with this one, and the trench combat was some of the best I’ve ever seen! Great job! :-)
This was hella good, you need to make more.
This is so good. Those low angle shots are quite immersive and this is overall a stunning brickfilm.
Better then most hollywood productions, good lord mate, this is freakin amazing!
Dude this is even more realistic than the real life movies
This has got to be the best Battle of the Somme stop motion ever this is fantastic
That is very good animation

the camera shaking adds so much to this

I like how close this resembles to a movie camera angles. It makes if feel as if im right there ngl. Great animation man 😎
That really moved me and I cried like a baby. What a great job. May all the fallen have the best place in heaven.
The best lego stop motion animator
The graphic and builds are not that realistic but I sure love the chaos of it, truly represents the realism of ww1 battles
This is one of the best stop motion videos I've seen, amazing work!
Best stopmotion ever i seen
bro this is genuinely so crazy loved every second of it man 🙏🙏
I have no words. But you have a new sub!
When i looked at the Thumbnail i was like "ah another stop motion ww1"...but dayum....that was chaotic and brutal. good job man
I am grateful to you for making subtitles. And the animation is just amazing!
That was awesome man great job
Oh! Man I didn’t even comment on this masterpiece? This was great Cheezy! I loved the effects and the overall animation. I especially loved the soldier who used his gun as a melee weapon like sergeant winterbottom! You always outdo yourself cheezy! Great job!
Thank you!
this is fantastically animated, thhe sound effects are on point and the visuals really top it off! im subscribing :D
Love your stuff man! Some of nay the best animation! Keep it up!!
I read the last part of the description about lack of motivation and school 🏫 I’m right there with ya buddy
Yeahhh, it’s more tedious than any animation I’ve ever done
Guys I know it's NNN, but this shit is gonna be to good
Oh no 💀
Bros gonna bust to lego animation 🗣🗣
Oh yes 😉
My guy I lost when he posted the trailer
For the British we see it as a month of remembrance
This animation was so good that I teared up at the end. All the little details add up to make such a huge difference! That's why you're the best!
I love the technique you are using to hide the horizon on your background
it works really well
and the ending was so dramatic
I love it when the King posts
This video is so realistic. Very well done
You are better than most Hollywood movies
What a masterpiece! Truly one of the best animators!💯💯
5:15 the sergent Witerbottom is back 😂, good stop motion men 👍
Can’t wait to see future films, they are always improving!
i will always respect your choice to use practical effects it looks so good.
also i love the all quiet on the western front 1930 scene lol 2:26
Thank you! That one machine gun scene from the movie did inspire me do make that shot
@@cheezyballz its a classic
Cheezy is peak. I am predicting this before the animation starts. I hope we'll all be there!
Thank goodness Sgt Winterbottom managed to survive and heal from all his injuries before enlisting in the US Army in WWII
I rewatched it so much just seeing how you made the physics of everything so well.
This has to be my favourite Lego stop motion animation of the Battle of the Somme 👍
You are truly the best animator of ww1 and ww2.
Your vids are awesome
Holy cow this is insanely underrated. Really good job!
Thank you! The overview shot when the soldiers exit the trenches took me 3 hours! Tedious, but it was worth it
@ dang, I can imagine. I’ve done shots line that and they take forever. And mine come out so bad 😂
This is really good I like the running it's faster than most other
This is actually incredible!
This is genuinely one of the best animations that I have seen in a long time. Great job and keep it up.
I would just like to say this animation is phenomenal! It’s smooth and quite clean. Hope to see you reach your sub goals!
thank you!
Your animations are so good and blow me away every time and I know you don’t do tutorials but maybe could you do a behind the scenes video to see what you do for the camera movement but it’s fine if you can’t?
Possibly
