Oh, wow Jane, what a delicious take on a Cottage Pie, yummy. I was watching the video and my husband looked over and said "whatever that is I'd eat it, it looks really good". I told him I'd like to make a small one for my sister for her Christmas meal and he said, well make enough for us to have as well. So, we will be trying it soon, and we will let you know what we think, I do really think the addition of lentils will be a nice tough. Oh, and by the way what you call swede in the UK we call Rutabegas in the U.S. LOL, it's funny how differently we call things from country to country. I also wanted to let you know your little package is on the way. Have a great weekend my friend.

Thank you 😊 Rutabegas now that’s a word I’ve never heard. Thought swede would be different. Glad the whole family thought it looked yummy especially being a veggie one with no meat. I shall keep an eye out for your package & let you know when here. You have good weekend too x

That looks yummy, Jane, and would suit my kidney diet if I modify a couple of the veggies: sweet potatoes and the Irish potatoes would have to be "leeched" (soaked) for several hours to get rid of some of their potassium, which is ine of the four things I have to calculate. No salt, but with all the different veggies, plus the aromatics, that should be a problem. Thank you so much for sharing this recipe, Jane! I intend to try it 😀. ❤️🤗🙏X

Hi Jane, once I have mashed the potatoes with the masher, added butter and milk I use a large hand whisk to beat it all together, it makes a lovely fluffy mash, just a thought. This looks soooo good. Thank you. Sandy 🌸

Thanks so much Jane. Can I ask how much liquid you used in the form of the gravy?

Thank you 😊 yes of course, I use about 1/2 pint of gravy, use more if you like runner mix or less if firmer. Hope helps, glad you are enjoying it & thank you for your comments x
