Loved the episode, it's always fun getting new people out on the tracks and watching their confidence grow! I'm always impressed with where those little Jimnys can go, between the weight, wheelbase, and traction control, they're incredibly capable.
Such an awesome vid!! Great to see support for each other’s ability throughout the episode especially when picking lines and understanding the capabilities of each 4x4🤙 plus can’t beat the bloopers ahahah!

I love the Australian 4WD content on TH-cam. You guys really have some of the greatest off roading. One thing that surprises me is the lack of reliance on locking diffs. I don't know the story behind the Toyota that got stuck, maybe it's just a daily driver that doesn't go off road that much. I've seen it on a lot of different channels too though. Here in the states I can't imagine someone going off road without locking differentials. I also notice you guys rely on winching quite a bit more than I'm use to. I'm not saying it's good or bad, but just a difference in styles and approach.

If you are unlocked and get stuck put your foot on the brake this will even the traction this will stop the loose wheel from spinning and send the power to the one that is stuck. Great video
before i start watching i just want to say that little Jimny is going to rock..
As a tip, when recovering or driving, shut all doors as they are part of the structural integrety of the vehicle. On some vehicles if you do as little as jack it up with the doors open you will do catastrophic damage. You also make sure the door itself is not damaged.

The dampeners work better if you put them on the heavier or harder parts of the winch line

That Patrol is a monster. Why are there no new vehicles that offer that suspension setup?
Also tire pressure drop them down beed locks or small diameter rims are best. Larger rims tend to come off rim faster at low pressures.

It's an amazing video. One of the best videos on this channel. When it comes to technical trails winch is a must have. The jimny and the 80 series nust have a winch. I mean if they really wanna explore and loves adventure.
