Good grief.. Thank you for this! I was told my 2015 Town and Country HAD no spare tire! 'These newer models don't come with spare tires, ma'am.' Ugh. I am a 72 yr. old grandmother who was stranded last night for hours on a country road. AAA wrecker was 2.5 hrs. delayed. Even if I'd known about this truth, there's no way I would have the strength to get the tire to drop with this Chrysler method. After my experience? I'm putting the spare in the back. Screw the space it takes up. Thanks again.
I've got a 2015 T&C in the rust belt, it's now 9 years old, and I never needed the spare until a few days ago. I was able to lower the spare without much effort, but the spring loaded clips that release the spare from the plastic cover were rusted tight. After "soaking" the mechanism with Kroil penetrating oil for a few hours, the clips still wouldn't budge, so I took a hammer and chisel and gently chiseled the clips loose enough that I was then able to force them open to get the spare off. Once I did that, I used the Kroil again and worked the clips back and forth until the spring action worked. To hopefully keep this from rusting tight again, I sprayed lithium grease in and around the mechanism. I'll probably make this an annual maintenance task.
An auto instructional video that doesn't have any fluff or filler. Well done!

You can but you losing space
Thanks Jay talk. I never would have figured it out. This is the dumbest idea for a spare. What was Chrysler thinking?
No idea what they were thinking lol. I’m glad the video help you.
They did that to allow for the stow and go seats that fold down into the floor
👍🏾
"it has to look something like this" i feel like i should see more than what is on screen , very confused.
This might just be the dumbest thing I have seen since I had to look up where to find the battery in my LeSabre.
😂
Thank you so much!
