Rob, how about the ending though? Even though Dr. Doom is Reed's archenemy, and even after everything Doom did to him, Reed Richards still gives Doom a new face fixing his deformity. That's why Doom smiles at the end.

I would say Doom is like a villainous version of Batman in the sense that left unchecked with time they always find a way to achieve their means.

I feel like Doom had a perfect opportunity to point out that he is effectively, or was, a king of Latveria. Latveria is a country basically opposite in nature of Wakanda and Atlantis in its lack of natural prosperity, but i say that makes Doom a better ruler to have raised it on his own.
Secret Wars should 100% be the next big Infinity War level event for the MCU. It'd give them an excuse to bring the original actors back after being 5-10 years removed from the franchise. Also, I would slap my mother to see Chadwick Bozemann's Black Panther lead an army of zombies

I'm new to comics. I started reading Miles Morales Spider-Man after seeing the Spider-Verse movie and eventually his story led up to this Secret Wars event. It was recommended to skip it because it would be too confusing, but I read it anyway being at least familiar with the characters after watching the movies. And wow! This story was amazing! I then looked up this video to bridge the gap on some things that I didn't get.
Thank you. Now I'm eager to read into more characters, specifically Fantastic Four. I felt like this story mainly revolved around them.
So glad that ypu actually started reading comics thanks to the movies, at least that's one good effect they have on comics, no need to talk about the bad side effects. But it's a shame you started reading such a late storyline since this story is filled with too many callbacks to other iconic moments in the marvel universe's history and that way some of these can't have the same impact if you see them in this event without any previous knowledge, having said knowledge actually makes you appreciate all the effort put in this story. Other than that I hope you keep reading comics in the future, not all stories are as good but can still be fun to read, specially some of the older stories, so enjoy.
There are a lot of ways Marvel could have shuffled the F4 out of the picture, but honestly, using the First Family of Marvel, arguably the ones that started it all, to make more Marvel universes seems like the most respectful way to do so.

@@silverblaize Because Disney, who now owns Marvel, didn't own the film rights to the FF. Same for the X-men. So they wanted them buried. That has been reversed since Disney brought Fox and regained the Film rights for the FF and X-Men.

This is legitimately how they could introduce the X-Men, The Fantastic Four, The Defenders, X-Force, etc. to the MCU. Every universe is dying and Doctor Doom or The Beyonder, or something else saves a piece of every universe and creats a new one, where they all exist.

Nathan Gonzalez The MCU still wants to be grounded in some form of reality so suspension of disbelief is kept low. But after the latter half of phase 2. The collective have been moving to more comic book shenanigans, so they could just throw it out there buuut that’s not good writing.
Bang Bang Do they really tho? Ask a normal dude what that scene was and most would say the ancient one put him through a psychedelic trance. Even with the introduction of different dimensions, it will take time for them to wrap their heads around the concept.
Imagine this being adapted into a 3 part movie
I made a video on my YT channel proposing just that. Part 1 would be "Marvel: Secret Wars" part 2 would be "Secret Wars: Battleworld" and part 3 would be "Marvel: New Universe" and it has the perfect last line for the last scene of the entire trilogy: "Everything lives."

considering that Dr Doom has been beaten on multiple occasions by Reed Richards even inside his armor, you can miss me with any plausible scenario in which Dr. Doom defeats one of the top martial arts masters in the Marvel universe.
Just because Doom is one of my all-time favorite characters in any comics universe, hero or villain, that doesn't mean that he gets a pass in terms of lazy-assed writers making him able to defeat anyone he wants.
Reed Richards defeating doctor doom ever only exists because doom usually falls in the villain role when he’s featured in f4 issues. And they always write the hero to win.

Your description of the Infinity Gauntlet was off. That gauntlet only works in the areat/ reality that Castle Doom was built on. Thar is why Sheriff Strange made sure the castle was built there.

Like. I'v seen comics have their own take of the story like in Civil War, where many comics, in their own character comics, have had something that would contribute to the main story that would appear in it, or more like a side story.

I have basic knowledge of comics. I come from a place where comics ain't exactly a thing and well most of the comics I've read are in digital and so on.
I understand how the marvel multiverse works. How 616 works, somewhat filled in in 1610, major events like World War Hulk, Who the beyonder was but most of this is through videos of people explaining or side talking about this events or what I've read (Thanks Rob).
I have basic knowledge of the origin of many popular characters and so on.
Still a new comer to comics so yeah.

Fullest Auto pretty much avengers and new avengers from right before secret wars there are like 30 issues of each and it all intertwines and leads into secret wars
I started from Secret Wars, then basically every major event from age of apocalypse to now is what leads up to Secret War. There is no specific timeline. The specific ones are when they reveal the timespace continuum is broken. For example War of Kings. Try reading all those, prelude WOK, and aftermath.
"Time Runs Out" is the story line that runs through Avengers #35-44 and New Avengers #24-33. Secret Wars (2015) ran 9 issues, after "Time Runs Out". I wasn't collecting, in 2015, so there might be more that I am missing, here. I'd imagine that this event affected everyone's books, though...
To bad the ending to this entire event was a lie and did jack and shit to change anything within the main marvel universe

well as a event itself i do agree it does still hold up, however though that being said as a event that was supposed to change the marvel universe forever and be kinda of a reboot to the marvel universe it practically failed in its mission statement because marvel got could feet and sabotage the ending too this event making the entire story-line pointless but that's just my opinion, if you disagree cool more power to you i won't stop you.
Tevya Smolka i agree and disagree. I think they got cold feet based on an indesicion on what to do with the X-men and fantastic Four at the time. That being said, I think they changed what they thought would less of a risk ie (adding miles to the main marvel universe and making doom a good guy).

Hickman's writing of Doom in this story is so underrated. Is he really the bad guy here. 10 points below say he isn't.
1. He fought with Molecule Man and Strange to combat the threat to the multiverse.
2. He took the burden of power Strange wouldn't from the beyonders and then proceeded to rebuild what little he could to support the remains of humanity.
3. He kept peace on this world and spread power fairly amongst others.
4. He not only allowed the family of his biggest rival to live regardless of the threat it could pose in the future, he kept them close to him as if they were his own family.
5. Strange betrayed him when a threat to peace presented itself (Thanos). Scott summers attacked him unprovoked.
6. He kept the world safe from Ultron and Zombies.
7.He formed the Thor core to keep the peace.
8. He kept Glacatus under control to stop him from devouring the only planet with life in existence.
9. Reid and black panther unleash hell on battle world and then uses the infinity gauntlet to assassinate Doom.
10. Before his end Doom admits Reed would have done a better job, showing his humility even in the face of his inevitable demise.
(Bonus) He is wearing all white symbolising his pure intent.
I rest my case your honour.
For the eventual live action secret wars instead of a big dramatic over the top final battle for the fate of existence against doctor doom and reed I want when reed Richards gets to doom they don't even fight at all they just have a conversation about their conflicting ideologies and like in the comic doom releases that reed could be a better god that he could ever be and his insecurities would take over and he would ultimately release he's not the one destined to do this

Why the whole multiverse died? The universes that the Earths where destroyed should not have been destroyed.
Now that they have confirmed "Avengers Secret Wars" coming out in phase 6 of the MCU, i couldnt be more hyped. hoping they go with this version of the comics, The Imax theatre is gonna go nuts, its gonna make End Game look like a little teaser in comparison. Finanically tho i have no idea how its gonna work, its gonna be the most expenssive movie ever made with the Cast thats gonna be needed. But we have confirmation of X-men in the MCU now, fantastic four etc. i couldnt be more hyped tbh, having to wait until like 2026 HURTS tho :/ the theatre experience alone is gonna be Astronomically epic.
Hopefully its possible to Make this story justice tho, just logistically. and or if they gonna bring bits from the different Secret wars stories and make it their own like they have in previous titles, and obviously it cant be a Secret wars movie without Battle World. cant wait.

Not related to video but I have an idea for a new Beyond Omega Level video. Beyond Omega Level: John Jackson Parr a.k.a Jack Jack who has as of Incredibles 2 shown 17 different powers and counting, including Teleportation, Trasformation and Body Mimicry, combustion, laser vision, telekinesis, phasing and more.
His potential basically makes him the Franklin Richards of the Incredibles world (which is fitting since The Incredibles are already a better version of the Fantastic Four than any cinematic version we've seem so far, I feel like once the FF are introduced into the MCU Marvel Studios should pay Brad Bird as much money as it takes to direct their introduction film, but I've gone off on a tangent now). I'm just saying if you can get a full beyond omega episode on a one episode meme bait premise like Pickle Rick, than it's time to shoe Jack Jack some love.

The best part is that in the end, even though Doom doesn't have all that power anymore, he is still better off than he was in Battleworld. He's finally let go and able to move forward and grow as a person.
Everyone dies and then there's just the DOOM Slayer floating through space punching everything.
Dr. Doom is now one of my favorite characters. He is incredibly complex.
