    JSX is very popular now in the West. They were expanding like crazy before the pandemic. Private terminals with airline prices. Closest thing to flying an actual private jet.

    I really hope they can survive and expand more to the eat side of the country. I would definitely fly them 🤞🏻🤞🏻

    At first I was doubting the "private jet experience" in an Ejet but wow, the cabin looks really spacious when viewed from behind! And how amazing to turn up 20 mins before departure. Doubt if this scheme will reach Europe anytime soon, but I'd love to try it. Nice report!

    • @GrandMichigan
      @GrandMichigan 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Well keep in mind Embraer makes private jets. The Legacy series and Praetor series are both developed from the ERJ family. They also have the Lineage which is developed from the E190.

    • @joshg72826
      @joshg72826 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      This isn't a "private jet experience". Lets not get carried away. It's just business class on a regional carrier. If they jet doesn't wait for you if you're 30 minutes late, its not a private jet.

      Beige and white interior? A little bland for my taste.

    • @cancelanime1507

      @@joshg72826 Yeah it's literally a regional carrier operating under Part 135 which allows them to use smaller terminals with no security checks to make short regional flights convenient, in the future I could imagine regional carriers like JSX operating on behalf of Airlines like United Express or American Eagle.. This is the future of regional aviation..

    Wow! This is my most favorite video to date! I'm enjoying these so much! I'm only allowed up and around ten minutes out of every awake hour, the other fifty is spent resting and on my ice machine since my knee replacement a little over two weeks ago, so these videos are the best! Extremely enjoyable, thanks!

    I hadn’t heard of JSX before this video, but thanks to your video, now I know, and I would definitely try them. Having flown private corporate jets before, I love the concept. I never saw an E145 look so good inside and out! Polished engine nacelles - nice touch!

    I'm old enough to remember when you could show up 30 minutes before a commercial flight at the airport, check in, walk by a sleepy guard and get on an airplane and go...used to love flying Memphis- Dallas on Eastern as it was so simple back in the day

    Well, let me tell you something. You are very young and started flying after the airlines have become so stingy! In the good old times, at least here in Brazil, we had good food (that you could have a second one), drinks (booze included). I remember being surprised in the '90s when an American friend told me that he had paid $10 for a scotch shot during a flight in the US! For us it was absurd... Nowadays everywhere is the same! I really miss the good old times! Thanks for sharing.

    Thanks for the great report! JSX is fantastic if they happen to fly from where you are to where you're going. The pros include: (1) super easy check-in, (2) reasonably comfortable lounges (although this varies - Burbank is not so great), (3) great in-flight experience. Also, there is some affiliation with JetBlue, so you can earn JetBlue miles on JSX flights. BTW, on your comment about limited cabin storage space, it's not that big a deal. If you check a bag, it will usually be ready for pickup on the tarmac or in the terminal within 5 minutes after you off-board. The cons include (1) limited route and schedule options, (2) expensive or non-existent parking at the departure airports (Concord/East Bay is an exception as us locals know - ample free parking right at the terminal); (3) usually limited car rental and other transportation options at your destination. That being said, if your stars align, it's a much better experience than flying commercial between the same two destinations, and usually comparable in price.

    This is a very neat concept. I truly hope that this sticks, but I have my doubts. Being in the airline industry, it's a huge struggle for lil operators like this to survive against the big boys because they are ruthless. The only way a gem like this can survive is TO NOT SELL OUT TO THE BIG GUYS like so many great airlines like this end up doing. I really hope this business model survives. There was another similar airline that was much like this called Midwest Express (I almost went to work for them) out of MKE (Milwaukee). They had a great run with a business class style in their planes, MD-88's and B717's, 2x2 all leather wide seating, excellent seat pitch, complementary wine or champagne, actual food for meals, (they served me shrimp scampi on my trip home from my interview) topped off with a fresh baked on board chocolate chip cookies, as many as you'd like, and boy were they DELISIOUS!!! I was extremely impressed with their operations, however Frontier offered a better package for employment, and it was the right choice in the end, cuz 9/11 fucked up the industry and really hurt it. Midwest laid off many of their mechanics and Frontier survived.....barely...

    • @cancelanime1507
      @cancelanime1507 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Midwest Express was great, problem was the post 911 airline industry forced them away from there premium product, I mean they were offering a Business class experience at an economy class price.. I think what will end up happening is airlines like JSX will operate flights on behalf of airlines like United Express and American Eagle..

    I Like the ERJ-145 a lot and it is so quiet. But in Europe it is almost gone fully. I was often flying it with Bmi Regional. For the problem with the not existing overhead bins at least for the big normal trolleys Lufthansa has a nice system for their CRJ-900. You give the hand luggage right away at the entrance of the plane and there you pic it up again when you leave. But you are right, the rest you need then to put under the seat, which is not so perfect.

    One thing is for sure, I hope they can survive the controversy that they have been facing and all the criticism and all the threats, plus the tough economic times with inflation and interest rates and layoffs of the workforce, as well as the lawsuits. Services out of Miami are also lacking. We only have two locations out of the Miami location, which is from Miami to either Dallas or Miami to Westchester County, New York, which is an hour outside of New York City. They should definitely add Miami to places like Nashville, Tennessee, Tennessee, Atlanta, Georgia, Charlotte, North Carolina, Charleston, South Carolina, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Las Vegas, Miami to Los Angeles, California, or Miami to Denver, Colorado, or even Miami to Houston, Texas, or Miami to Austin, Texas. And I would love to see one from Miami to Nassau Bahamas. They used to have one going from Miami to marsh Harbor Bahamas, whatever happened to those flights. But I would like to see Miami to Nassau Bahamas, and then maybe get one from Miami to Providenciales, Turks and Caicos. And maybe one from Miami to Grand Cayman in the Cayman Islands
