I tried emptying my guns ammo to test punching, I found that all damage is reduced by 50% and you have basically 0 melee thrust. Also your boost last so much shorter than any booster and generator combination that recreates that short boost Also you can see the stats of the Jailbreak from the replay menu, there is no FCS and generator combination that can recreate the same stats.
@@NEilYHYJailbreak in Escape doesn't use OS Tuning, so it lacks damage in general for Kinetics and Explosives. Also, no one really pointed out that the FCS and Generator is really hard to pinpoint.

Ironically, the jamming gun does work on Baltaus. It completely shuts down his missile spam, which turns the first phase into a chump. But sadly, you wouldn't have been able to stunlock him with the jamming gun. But it's a surprisingly good option against him if you have better weapons.

Quick tip: if you're ever stuck on a boss, get your quick boost to be pretty fast and equip two shotguns and double missiles for secondary weapons, that should do the trick
@znoiks7915 still requires skill to pilot it in order to land the shots. Couldn't do that build on the allmind, so I resorted to a complete tank and double gatling and double electricle needle build.
Cool secret about this mech is that it is a solid S ranker. It has some of the cheapest repair cost per missing health I have seen this far so it is less departmental to the mission ranking.
The "out of nowhere" deaths on the Walter fight are caused by the coral missiles, they are pretty slow and home on you dealing GIGANTIC amounts of damage.
Yea dual weapons in general make them way better. Sucks you only have 2 shoulder weapons after the fact tho. They should add some leg missles or waist missles lol some gundam heavy arms love. Of course that would thow off the balancing of the game...but i feel we shouldve had 6 weapons. At least for pve. Like having a permanent blade and grenades or somethin lol endless possibilities. Maybe in the next installment 🤷♂️

I've been doing this challenge myself and I was wondering about when you changed the weapons, what your reasoning was? I have been using OST upgrades (mostly just for purge and kick tbh) and have managed to proceed decently far. You brush over it as "The enemies got too annoying"
@@mdooz6058 I do have Chapters 1 and 2 and half of chapter 3 on my channel ATM, but it's more like a full playthrough rather than a properly edited challenge video ATM. I might edit together a full challenge video when I'm finished with my run, but it's really just an idea that I liked the idea of. I did start with all the upgrades unlike in this run though. I don't think the upgrades actually make too much of a difference to the run before the point where you can buy all the upgrades that matter for the build. (For example, there's not really any point buying the upgrades that increase how much health the repairs give because the mech has so little health)
@Mythic_Menagerie My reasoning for changing the weapons was because of a mixture of reasons. Too low on ammo, weapon weakness and range, the short amount of health on the frame, enemy annoyance and accuracy, my patience, and lack of skill. Also note that this was done before the patch that came out that buffed the Ludlow machine gun. That buff would have probably made me continue using the OG build for a bit more, but I fell like I would have eventually still changed by build a bit later in the run (probably around the Enforcer) than when I did.

Ironically, the Jailbreak arms are actually pretty good. I can't explain why, but they are the best arms for my AC, allowing me to min-max the crap out of it, so it is super speedy, while packing good firepower.
What impresses me more than the sheer insane amount of willpower, skill, and patience to complete this run, is having legitimately hilarious commentary while sounding like a dead inside middle school teacher
I didn't really use it against the usual enemies in the game cause of their small health, but I did occasionally use them in the boss battles to see its effectiveness. It seams like it did mess with their lock-on a bit but no enough to save me from the barrage of missiles sent towards me from Balteus or the Sea Spiders close range lasers. It also would mess with my lock-on as well.
@@Worn-outGamer4 Yeah, made the comment before seing the Balteus fight. From what I know of the smoke, it block the targeting of everyone that is directly on the other side or out while you're in. But if the two of you are in, you can still target each other. I think it's mainly an AC vs AC kind of weapon, to mess with missiles lock on. Balteus and the Sea Spider are not AC, so kind of not surprised it did not affect them. Still unfair though, mainly for Balteus, but it would make one of it's main attacks useless.

I have been attempting the run on the stock Loader AC. I am past Enforcer, unfortunately I am forced to use the Stun Needle against the Ice Worm, but otherwise I have beaten every NG mission up to this point with the base build and OS upgrades.
This is surprisingly "harder" just looking at this than doing the default build(the starter AC and gear in the intro mission). I'm currently doing that run and barely got to Ibis. For this run though, bro you pretty much became an MT and got sick of all the BS
I… may be a small minority, but I actually genuinely enjoy the LING-TAI generator. Yeah it’s statistically bad, but on a lightweight you can do some shenanigans if you know how to supplement or replace most of your quick boosting with other FCS-confusing motion.

Just checked the presets on my end. Its not there even though I swear i remeber using it! For reference ive done every achievement xcept S rank all missions. So unless thats the unlock requirement, I dont think a preset exists.
Just a tip, when you're fighting the Tetrapod just before the Smart Cleaner, shoot all the canisters on the ceiling before the fight; it removes all the other MTs and does a bit of damage to the Tetrapod.

You don't really have to worry about me when it comes to pvp as I very rarely play it at least in these types of games. Online anonymity can make people feel powerful enough to be a bit toxic and ruin other peoples experience, especially prevalent in a game that has voice chat like COD.
@@Worn-outGamer4 Each mission you complete you get a loot box, which comes with one weapon and one non-weapon thing at random, weighted towards garbage. Additional loot boxes are in the cash shop at 5 dollars per box. Also every item other than your starting gear degrades, so can only be used for 5 total missions before it's gone. That would be EA mode.
Id like to point out you were playing much too aggressive in the Cel fight. You can just dodge everything (and in some cases just strafe to one side without dodging) to avoid all its attacks and wait for its wings into sword attack that it always opens the fight with. Once it does that attsck you can abuse the shit out of it with your dual Morley cannons.
At this point, all these weird challenges like crappy AC, or no weapons, is just shitting on Iguazu's already fragile pride. The poor sod was so salty he gave himself up to the manipulative AI for spiffy new tech and assumed control of said with the power of grapes. Then the crazy players S ranked him with oldgen suit
The fact that not only did you do it in that ac, but you did it all while not locking on. That's even more impressive to me granted the accuracy boost you get is worth not locking on. Just an FYI tho, don't even bother trying to kick without locking on, it just won't work really without locking on.

For the record its not an HC. HCs are a PCA specific craft, what you are referring to is a Heavy Tetrapod MT., or just "Tetrapod".

I'm sure someone has already said but just in case they haven't, those early Tetrapods are not HCs, they are Heavy MTs.
Funny thing that I found that the Ludlow you're using in the jailbreak mission deal far less damage than the standard ones
Yeah I realized that during the Escape mission. Shame we can't gain access to those parts.
I imagine that they didn't update the Ludlow in the mission to the buffed version with the recent patch, hence why it's weaker in comparison.

Part of why your melee attacks fling you is that the kikaku have the best melee thrust stat in the game.

I think you did not used the smoke launcher that much at the begining. Could have been a good help against missiles and enemy targeting.

Among all 3 of the end bosses, Ayre is the hardest for me
she is my choose of boss in NG+
But Funny thing is, I run out of hand weapon ammo in the start of All mind's second phase and the last ammo is the killing blow

@@Worn-outGamer4 Each mission you complete you get a loot box, which comes with one weapon and one non-weapon thing at random, weighted towards garbage. Additional loot boxes are in the cash shop at 5 dollars per box. Also every item other than your starting gear degrades, so can only be used for 5 total missions before it's gone. That would be EA mode.

Why the hokushi generator ?
Id like to point out you were playing much too aggressive in the Cel fight. You can just dodge everything (and in some cases just strafe to one side without dodging) to avoid all its attacks and wait for its wings into sword attack that it always opens the fight with. Once it does that attsck you can abuse the shit out of it with your dual Morley cannons.

The fact that not only did you do it in that ac, but you did it all while not locking on. That's even more impressive to me granted the accuracy boost you get is worth not locking on. Just an FYI tho, don't even bother trying to kick without locking on, it just won't work really without locking on.
