Have you heard about Breast Reduction? While many women are concerned with having breasts that are too small, other women have the opposite problem. Breasts that are disproportionately large and heavy can be both embarrassing and physically challenging, keeping you from participating in a variety of activities. Comment below with any questions!!!
Omg I’ve been waiting for this one!! I’ve called to make a consultation months ago, but canceled it because it just wasn’t the time! I’m currently waiting to get into the nursing program here where I live. And I’ve been wanting to call back and make another appt because I think I can finally follow through! This video helped me SO MUCH!!! Keep them coming!!!
I’m sooo happy I came across this specific conversation tonight!!!! I emailed your office a few months ago for a reduction consultation I’m hoping 2020 will be the year I finally get the courage to go through with the surgery
I've been wanting a reduction for over 20 years. I'm finally looking for surgeons in my area. This is very helpful for me to know what to ask and what to look for - NO ANCHORS! 😁 My only complaint is it'd be so much easier if I could afford to go to LA and see you for it since the bar is set so high now. Oh, well. I'm empowered with knowledge and will find someone! Thank you!
Flights are $50 right now... I **just** booked my consultation with Dr. Barrett and secured a surgery date - you should do it. I’m doing it after 12 years of thinking about it
Thank you for speaking on intermittent fast, It's a game changer I've lost 70 pounds since June 2019. I love this IF life that I'm living. Wish you were in Georgia, would love a consult.
Hi there, I am looking into getting a breast reduction, and I only have Medicaid. I am going to a consult in a couple weeks with a surgeon that's in the local network here, and he seems to be the only one that does high BMI breast reductions, so I am basically very limited in my options here. I am not sure what technique he does, but I am a DD and I want to go down to an A, partly because of back and neck pain, and partly because of wanting gender affirming care as I am gender non binary. Do you think doing this is too risky for me? Do you think I should avoid getting this because I am 240lbs? If you think it's feasible, do you think getting the old technique versus the new technique is better or worse? What would be most appropriate? Thanks for your help and advice.
Well now I'm a bit sad. I had a reduction back in 2012 and I am happy my breast are much smaller but I don't like the shape or scarring. No idea this lollipop technique existed - was just too happy to find a surgeon to do it since I'm plus sized and that my insurance was on board. Oh well, if I heat anyone else needs this I'm suggesting you and the lollipop. 😬
The majority of breast reduction patients need a short period of downtime. Depending on the work environment (heavy lifting, etc) more time off may be necessary. Patients are encouraged to walk immediately after surgery to avoid blood clots in the legs.
if you gain weight after liposuction, most of it will go to other body parts that have more fat cells. I usually don't do liposuction for breast revision.
I've been told that due to my large 34H breast that I would have to have the anchor scar breast reduction and not the lollipop short scar. I'm glad I came across your video. Is the lollipop scar possible for large hanging breast?
I was very surprised my plastic surgeon said he always does the lollypop because its less scarring and easier to recover. I “only” had 34 DD to 34 DDD breasts but they hung down to my belly button with a huge stretched nipple. My surgeon had no hesitations about anchor or lollypop (he refuses to do anchor). I am 18 days post op and the recovery has been a breeze!
my preferred lift is a lollipop lift when a periareolar won't do (ie greater than 2cm lift required). The lollipop technique was created by a Canadian plastic surgeon named Elizabeth Hall-Findley and treats the breast as a three dimensional structure instead of two dimensions (anchor - lift). Most importantly it does not require the horizontal component scars that the anchor-lift requires and breasts appear much more natural, lifted, and less boxy. Lastly, the lift lasts longer because the lollipop doesn't rely on the skin to hold the breast up, its actually breast tissue thats being brought together to support the breast and hence improves longevity.
Insurance guidelines should be changed , 500 grams is ridiculous, it’s a way for insurance companies to deny us ....is all about the money for Insurance companies , they love to deny deny deny

This is an amazing platform. Please consider an office in the Caribbean. We don't have many options and no practices in Antigua at all.

I had no idea this was a thing. What does the recovery look like?

So I’m in Scandinavia and curious. How much is the procedure? How long should I stay in LA?

Since liposuction causes breasts and upper arms to grow bigger (i.e. fat redistribution) how does it work with liposuction in breast reductions?

it is hard to tell for sure without an examination, but generally speaking, it would be possible to use lollipop incision.

Does Breast feeding get affect after lollipop surgery in future??
any breast surgery can affect breastfeeding ability. However, with a meticulous surgical technique, this complication is rare
