That green mixing bowl had really useful flat areas near the base 3:55 so you can tip it to mix and it stays flat rather than rolling like a round one would

I think it is because she is not in a really urban area. I am in an area that is urban. There is only one antique mall and it is very high end. Goodwill closed the larger and better of the 2 stores closest to me so now I have to drive further. One is over the line in Delaware. But I tend to find better things there and at the other , further away Goodwill, than the one left closest to me.

Hi chick. Had I known when I was a kid what I known now I would have saved all the carnival glass that my mom had. She collected it and had many, many pieces. It was the blue and was the original. She bought it when it first came out. You could buy a large pitcher for $4 or $5. I always loved it.
My 4 year old grandson, Rylan, has started watching your videos with me. He often goes with me when I am shopping and while watching videos he says “I will find that for you Grammy!” He has actually gotten good at finding things for me. He found a Limoges dish I would have passed by the other day! He said today “You have to get the lizard!” I hope you did! 😀🤣

🦋The lamp in the box. I have one I purchased from The Elephant Trunk Flea Market in New Milford CT for $3. It was many years ago, and I’ve been collecting mini oil lamps for about twenty years. I have an old vaporizer in the box that’s my favorite.
I especially like the folk art stool with the ‘man who looks like he gets things done’ :) 🇨🇦

A fish BOLO for you. In California in the 1940s Bauer pottery made Chicken of the Sea premium giveaways- lidded pottery fish salad servers and accompanying S & P shaker set. Some were in those Fiestaware colors. Sadly, most can find the fish dishes, but not the metal carriers they fit in. They are clearly marked on the bottom- Made in California, Chicken of the Sea, Bauer, Salad Server. A set of 4 + carriers and S&P have sold for between $400-$500. I know, crazy for premium giveaways, but Bauer is always a top dollar pottery collectible. Started in Paducah, Kentucky, but left in 1909 for California. Very few pieces ever made their way back to the east coast. Wartime production limits and materials procurement probably affected this collectible too.

Yes, I remember seeing the lipstick holders on dressers when I was a kid and I am old. LOL Also, Jocelyn pick up the Haegar that maybe isn't as expensive or the best pattern so some of us can start a collection. :) Love you and the videos! Keep em' comin.

Love your videos !!!!The little yellow/orange bowl with feet on it that you picked up at the end probably glows under a blacklight . I have one that is yellow and it glows orange . I think it's called manganese glass .

Just a thought...to keep from accidentally chipping in the metal carts, maybe carry a towel or small blanket to put in the bottom. I always cringe when you put glass in the cart! 😋. Love you Jos, your videos have been life to me!
Two birds at 6:30 I remember are Portieux Vallerysthal sugar bowls/mustard bowls and worth some money, a mislisted one with no info about Portieux Vallerysthal recently sold for $23 and shipping on etsy hence you might get more with correct info on ebay. Think I have one put away from a auctioneer's estate auction.

My curiosity was piqued by the milk box the cast iron lizard was sitting on. Back in the 50's (in NJ) the milkman would deliver milk and butter outside our kitchen door by putting it in the "milk box." Don't know if they have any value or are too heavy to ship, but I'd sure love to find one.
Jeanine Michaels yup!! It was my job to put the clean, empty bottles back in the Milk Box. The milkman would take the empties and leave us milk!!!

In this video you said that bougie means fancy. Actually it is a slightly negative adjective used to refer to someone or something that is presenting to be, or aspiring to be, better than they/it actually are/is.
