To many truckers that it point blank and to many advertising now foreigners from different countries taken part and competing with cheaper prices they living in the truck while bill and Tom want to go home to their family the market is over saturated
Trucking prices will increase when there's less competition. The only thing you need to become a truck driver is a pulse and good enough correctable eyesight. Other than that, nothing is going to change.
I left the book your own freight market about three years ago and leased on to a large company out of Pennsylvania hauling paper rolls from Alabama to the Port in Savannah Ga. I know of one company that is owned by a Chinese company and the only way you can work there is you have to speak Chinese because the dispatch is in china and the paperwork is in Chinese. They pull containers from the port to Atlanta Ga. They have about 25 trucks or more
Need more companies to fall off. Sad to say but very true. Bad thing about the pandemic is it allowed quite a few new trucking companies to form and propped up failing ones.
