Despite its $75 million budget and a star-studded cast including Lilly Ross Depp, Jennie Kim from Black Pink, Troye Sivan, and The Weekend among others, The Idol falls short of its promising premise. The show's cinematic artistry and potential are overshadowed by misogynistic writing and excessive sexual undertones that fail to contribute to a compelling storyline. This mishap ultimately hinders what could have been a great HBO series. In this video, we watch and discuss episode two which was described as an improvement from Episode 1. But was it?
