just picked up this radio. Thanks for the video, if I can make a suggestion, if you plan on making more videos you may want to invest in a better mic set up. It is very hard to hear you and I had to turn my volume way up. An external mic is critical to better videos...1st is lighting and 2nd is sound. Thank you again for the vid.
I'm with BF Blazer. Crutchfield shows does not fit but it appears to be a standard 1 DIN radio from what I can find. Did you happen to notice it being abnormally deep or anything else odd? They show the 8700 as a match for my car so I'm thinking it will fit. Thanks for any help, how there are no dimensions anywhere on the Internet is beyond me.
I watch both of reviews of pioneer Deh -x9600 and kenwood bt958 hd cd receiver, I notice the are slightly similar almost same features and functions, the only difference I notice on pioneer push faceplate you can insert cd, On the other hand kenwood bt 958 hd same functions and features The only difference I notice faceplate you can put the cd without taking the faceplate of radio on kenwood are they the same both radios or is there any difference between on both radios Thanks in advance
I'll either get this Pioneer or the Kenwood KDC-BT73DAB. Pioneer seems to be the more attractive looking head unit but the Kenwood I hear has better sound quality (and 8 more EQ bands). Pioneer has 3 4V preamp outs, Kenwood has 3 2.5V preamp outs. I'll be upgrading with a 4 channel amp later down the road, any advice on the difference the Volts might make AKA which radio to go for when audio quality has the highest priority?

Can you tell me the dimensions of the case for this stereo please? A few sites have told me that it won't fit my vehicle but it seems to be the same as any aftermarket which I already have in my truck so chances are the slot has been modified or these sites are wrong. If you could please confirm as I would love to buy this stereo. Thanks :)
I have the same wonder my friend.....i like them both!!!!!!!the 8700 costs 140€ and the 9600 costs 210€.......they have a few differences......the 8700 has one usb slot....the 9600 has two.....the 9600 has a sd card slot while the 8700 does not....the 9600 has the aux in the front.(faceplate)....the 8700 has it in the rear side......the preout voltage is the same in both models (4v)......all the functions are the same!!!!
But i still like x9600 more......either way it's more beautiful and more advanced model!!!!!!!what if it costs 70€ more?????you buy it just once and not all the time!!!!!

Always so monotone, never actually knowing what a lot of features are (App Connect Mode and Engine Time Alert, for example... App Connect Mode is to let you choose between controlling the Pioneer App via a USB Cable, OR with Bluetooth. The Engine Time Alert thing I have no clue about, but since you didn't actually learn about what this stereo can do before making the video, you don't either and thus can't tell anyone...), almost never demoing any of the actual features (no I don't mean as in playing music, but showcasing what the features DO, such as mixtrax and the like), and never taking the time to learn the actual product before attempting to 'educate' people on the product... I like the vids, cause they do show what the 'basics' of the stereo systems are usually capable of, but things ranging from minor importance to critical importance, are very often overlooked, left out, or am given miss-information about..

You can test whether it is defective by wiring it to a computer psu or car battery charger. If you have questions lemme know
a regular car charger?..i hooked up the red and yellow wire to the positive and ground cable to the negative battery post but nothing
