I thought the church service was super creepy. Teaching people to obey commands without thinking, being trained to touch other people without their consent and that you don’t have bodily autonomy. Normalizing absurdity.

Behind the joke is Aaron blaming Scientology for his problem of not being good at math. Instead of studying math, he relies on blaming. That's known as lack of forgiveness. When we forgive, we can become more responsible people instead of needing to make jokes about our ineptitude to get attention.

1. Do you honestly think none of us realized it was a joke about growing up in Scientology and none of us realized he’s saying that’s the reason why someone may not be good at math so therefore you felt compelled to explain it to us?
2. Do you honestly think Aaron is incapable of counting the number of times someone has asked him to review a video so therefore he should spend time… studying math?
3. Do you honestly believe Aaron made this and other jokes because he lacks the ability to forgive?
4. Do you believe Aaron is not a responsible person because he made a joke during a video he posted on his TH-cam channel?
5. Do you believe Aaron views himself as inept and has incorrectly chosen to remedy that by trying to get attention on TH-cam?
6. Scenario: Someone believes another person is not responsible, inept and incapable of forgiveness so they mistakenly make jokes at the expense of Scientology to get attention. In response, that someone decides to watch the attention-seeking video and comments on it to educate his attention-seeking enablers of his and their own transgressions.
What’s that known as?
@@kc910 If you learn from it, that's OK. I give my comments so Aaron will learn from them and others. Scientology is not a community that is strong on forgiveness. So it's not taught there and that's where Aaron grew up. It is the major part of Jesus Christ's teaching and I haven't seen Aaron exemplify forgiveness or reference Christianity as his model. He airs his grievances against the church and has a podcast in which he constantly airs other peoples' grievances. He feels it's his purpose in life and to rescue others who feel stuck in the church and believe they can't get out. To put Scientology behind you and go on with your life, you must be able to forgive. So if he hasn't been able to do so, he would not be a good teacher for others to be able to.
This is true of all life experiences in which we hold grudges.

It would probably be a great interview. I'm in a position where I am able to work most of my shifts listening to music or poscasts or TH-cam videos. And I'm kinda obsessed with the scientology topic. I usually listen or watch most of you videos, and I'm sure that's why the TH-cam algorithm showed me reckless ben. I'm glad to see you go over this. Especially how you verify that lots of this stuff is pretty spot on to your own experiences. Thanks for your work man!

I was once on the brink of dating a guy who started in on me with Scientology! Needless to say, the relationship never moved forward because I laughed in his face! Also, I was affronted because he tried to convince me to become estranged from my family!

I was SO staff at FLB, WUS and Saint Hill and never went to a Sunday Service. I left the Church in December 2001 thanks to the internet. At the time I had just finished up Solo1 and 2 along with OT Preps and OT Eligibility. What I saw on the internet resonated with what I'd been exposed to at the Sandcastle, training with OT's up to OTVII. My thoughts were, "really, after all the auditing and training, this is the rabbit hole I have to go down"? The Grades were great, NED was super but now I have to get nuked in a volcano 75 million years ago and I'm covered with body Thetans??? Refund please!

Simon Says! This reminds me of early Landmark Education introduction leader training. They make you clean your car and other minor steps as a lead into further control over you. I was surprised that some people actually needed coaching to clean their car and house. But they did love to prey on people who needed basic life assistance and low employment so they had time to work for free and were susceptible to pressure to buy more courses.

Group auditing reminds me of a hypnotist show where he demonstrated how to see how open you are to the power of suggestion. Basically conditioning your subconscious to take commands from the hypnotist. He would tell the audience commands over and over like raise your left hand, put it down, raise your right hand, put it down and so on for a minute or two. Then finally he says to fold your hands together and separate your index fingures, then tells you your fingers are magnets and they are pulling towards each other and you cannot stop it. So auditing may be also mental programming to take commands and be obedient.

TH-cam done messed up Aaron!!!! Hate it when sites like TH-cam go all corporate and send viewers to "preferred" sites that make more money. Doing as you asked from your video on Jan 26th, you'll notice the same message on any number of your videos. You do a fabulous job of pulling the wallpaper off the wall of Scientology to show it for what it really is, I'm amazed Scientology hasn't come after you big time
The person leading Sunday service was the Chaplain LAO at the time (this was after LAO turned into an SO Org). I don't remember this guy's name, Jon something? The three base chaplains took turns by week with who was going to get stuck doing Sunday Service, iirc.

I was hoping you would get a chance to see reckless Ben cuz he did that! When I was very young my sister and I passed through Chicago and we were stopped and asked if we wanted to take a test and we were given the cans to hold and we were asked a bunch of questions and we saw the E meter move and they tried to get us to buy the book diagnetics. It was very interesting at the time but yeah we didn't follow through and we went to sing karaoke instead that was when karaoke first came out in a booth in the middle of the mall. thanks to karaoke we're not scientologists Never happened except for that one day for those few minutes. Just fyi, We sang the song Total eclipse of the heart by Bonnie Tyler.
