Top 7 PG ever, top 4 SG, and a top 3 SF ever. 3 of the top 10 players of their generation. 3 of the top 15 players of this century. 2 of the top 10 playmakers ever, arguably the best scorer ever. How OKC fumbled this... Edit: for the guys crying about Westbrook, piss off. Stupid media narratives, you believed. It's 2025, why can't you just accept that Russ is an alltimer?
I don’t get why the thunder had to get rid of them it was a silly move as they had three young stars that could have probably won a chip if they stayed together
They will do the same thing in 1-2 years when the stars of the team will ask for huge contracts after their rookie one expires and will mess the whole franchise up
owner just didnt want to pay the extra(which not even using hindsight was pretty stupid). All 3 were young players that couldve been nurtured into a dynasty had the owner decided to try to retain all of the players
They had a chance to win a championship but failed. Now the thunder have a second chance to win a title this year, let’s hope they don’t make the same mistake twice.
Saying KD wanted a change of scenery and a new “challenge” by going to GSW had me laughing. Was definitely a challenge riding that team to a championship.
Russell Westbrook is a triple double threat who relies heavily on his ability to play the game with heart. Kevin Durant is the most versatile scorers in the league, so he is hard to defend against because of his height and size. James Harden is the most prolific scorers in the league today, so he came into the league as a 6th man. They all made it to the Finals and lost! I still don’t understand why they all left the team. We just will never know, huh!!!
5:31 hold up....did serge get hoed for DPOY and nobody talks about it...he played more games that both Dwight and Chandler, avg 3.7 freekin blocks and if rebounding was such a big factor then Dwight had 14.5 a game so he shoulda got it if anything....they did serge dirty😂
The Oklahoma City Thunder with the big 3 of James Harden, Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook will go down as one of the most epic failures ever. They're all three first ballot Hall of Famers who couldn't win that elusive chip 🏆.
I‘m not a massive basketball fan but I started playing nba2k11 myCareer and I saw the three of them on the team. I just wondered how this was legal and how they didn’t win anything.
15:20 this is all wrong. KD was out the start of training camp (before season start) with a jones fracture. He came back mid way through and realised it was too uncomfortable to continue playing. He got a 2nd surgery to remove the screws in his foot… then continue onto the 2015-16 season.
This team was never gonna win a championship with Russ as their 1st or 2nd option. Russ just doesnt play winning basketball when he is one of the main guys. Harden wouldn't have developed if he stayed there. KD was always KD, he can easily be the 1st option on a championship team, if he has someone reliable next to him (just like literally every other superstar). I love Russ, love how he finally found a team that plays to his strengths and hope he wins one this year with Denver, but people overrate the positive impact he actually has on a team as the main guy, you aren't winning anything with him as your 1st or 2nd option even in his prime (which is completely fine). Thats why i always supported KD leaving, even if it meant going to the Warriors...
Kd left because of the lack of depth he excplicitly stated that he was frustrated with the front office, this was due to the decline of production from ibaka and big perk. If russ truly didn’t play “winning” basketball, they never would have had deep playoff runs. Your logic seems very flawed
KD is the weakest of them all. He wasn't the number one option, because he didn't have it in em to carry a team. I give Russ credit for at least going in. Meanwhile, Kev's weak ass choked and ran to be carried and never led a team of his own to a finals win. He is the worst of the 3 for that. Great scorer, but doesn't have the heart of a true champion. KD could have left and be fine, but he went to be carried like a pussy so he has the least amount of respect for anyone that knows basketball. Forever an asterisk next to his weak minded self.
I mean after those couple years, maybe in 15-16, or even 14, they could just start Harden at SG, the only reason he didn’t develop was because they just started someone else, if they just did what nonstop said, then he could develop and start to go into his prime, Russ can play winning basketball as a main guy, trust me, plus he could just slide to the 3rd option and their coach just tell their team to pass it to Harden more so that Russ can be less of a main option and dunk and score when he’s needed, and simply KD as you said is KD, never rlly had a problem on thunder or warriors 🤷♂️, so all he gotta do is keep doing what he was doing which was being the 1st option and the main guy and don’t slow down on his scoring and they could’ve gotten at least 2-3 chips
Lets be honest, Harden also wanted to be THE guy. He was never going to be ok with not having the ball in his hands. They already had Russ to run the offense and Durant to be the killer. In his prime Harden was great, but he wants to be the ISO king and he's never reached a finals playing that kind of ball.
Harden wanted to stay. That's not on him at all. They should have just paid his worth. In fact, he didn't even ask his worth which is evident by his MVP work. That's completely on poor management.
I feel like the thunder should've made better moves to give their stars closer to max deals but harden should've been a little less selfish and given up $5 million for the team's success
I dont know if this Big 3 would've won a championship together? still to this day neither Westbrook nor Harden have won a ring and Durant only won his 2 playing with an All-Time GSW team. I think all three of them will need another HOF Legend to play alongside if they're ever to win another Championship, Westbrook looks the closest right now with Jokić in Denver and we'll have to see if Leonard can stay healthy during the playoffs to help Harden and the Clippers.
They definitely coukd have won one if they stayed together. They literally topped the West and best out legends in Kobe Bryant led Lakers, Spurs, etc. and made the finals. Had they stayed together one can definitely have been won. They had some of the best role players too. I can always tell the ones that are too young to know.
Shout out to the guy calling out KD for weaking other teams while he team hopped for his Mickey Mouse rings. I'll never forgive that snake for ruining such an exciting and promising young Nets team.
Greed ruined it, simple, if the multimillionaire sacrificed a tiny bit it would have been fine. Not like he's going without, stars get all the sponsorships and show deals etc then act like they are hard done by as if their contract is the only money they get. Imagine sitting there saying getting paid over 50 mil isnt enough.
In 2012, when OKC beat San Antonio in 6 games, the thing you missed is they came back from down 0-2. OKC swept the Duncan-Parker-Ginobli Spurs 4 straight for their first Finals trip as a squad. They should have won rings....
The greatest teams that never was 2010-11 Bulls D Rose Wade LeBron Bosh Noah, instead of going to Miami they were about to come to Chicago. Just image that starting line up and how dominate they would be, yes the spacing would be terrible but that’s too much talent not to be successful
The ability of Thunder to draft talents and rebuild time and time again is just unprecedented.
I believe Harden would not have blossomed with KD and Russ. He built his HOF resume in Houston.
Top 7 PG ever, top 4 SG, and a top 3 SF ever.

Russ is more top 10-13. His triple doubles are very impressive but he was also very ineffectient as well still a great pg tho
@xisredactedI agree with you there that’s the only thing I’d adjust about his statement
kd top 2 nd harden top 3
@xisredacted Name the guys ahead of him, and I'll provide a rebuttal.
@@mahjiolebron and Larry bird are both better than kd

@@Angelo-vk8wpall of those guys are best friends, I’d imagine one of them would take a pay cut happily
It was right before the cap heavily increased so they would’ve gone into luxury tax territory really easily if they did

Oh they are
*third chance. The second was in 2016. They were up 3-1 against the 73-9 Warriors.
@@seansanchez3006best front office, best player, best bench, best defense, they not messing anything up

This run gone be different 💙🧡
great work
This is more than likely my favorite team of all time
If Durant, Harden and Westbrook stayed together they would have won at least 2 titles.
Saying KD wanted a change of scenery and a new “challenge” by going to GSW had me laughing. Was definitely a challenge riding that team to a championship.
I really appreciate your work! Your videos are always of such high quality and warmth. Keep up the good work!🦍🙉💵
19:13 crazy hearing this when paying half attention 😂
Yo this is my first time I’ve watched your videos in a while and I saw you got 1m subs congrats
We all remember this team
thank you it is very informative.
Hopefully this current crop of players don't get lost like the last crop
a very big what if in NBA history.

Serge was the truth for real. He was squatting the shit out of anyone that came through.

They have SGA, Holmgren, Williams now, they have hopes
this wouldve been the greatest big 3 of all time
They really fumbled 3 mvp's who would've played together for at least 4 additional seasons and were the NBA's darlings
Hall of famers
Considering how they rebuilt, im pretty sure they’re happy with the results
look at us now
I‘m not a massive basketball fan but I started playing nba2k11 myCareer and I saw the three of them on the team. I just wondered how this was legal and how they didn’t win anything.
Damn you young as hell I see...
Hope this young thunder team can win NBA tittle
Reggie Jackson wasn’t no slouch either, he was almost a borderline all star in Detroit
15:20 this is all wrong. KD was out the start of training camp (before season start) with a jones fracture. He came back mid way through and realised it was too uncomfortable to continue playing. He got a 2nd surgery to remove the screws in his foot… then continue onto the 2015-16 season.
U cannot just blame Sam for not signing Harden for 4mil. Same can be said about Harden not willing to take 4 mil less...
Fun fact: IF you really wanna be technical, the thunder TECHNICALLY only drafted james first. Kevin and russel are Sonics picks
We need a grit and grind grizzlies basketball video
Such a shame it never worked out would love to see Russ and Harden get their rings

Just imagine if they were able to have Phil Jackson coaching them? Not as a GM nor as an owner but a coach.
18:20 man I will never forget that video from lostnunbound 😂😂
The fact that 4 million Dollors could have made the thunder nba champs is just wild

It lowkey started with James harden leaving but I understand he left because he felt disrespected because he didn’t get what he wanted
Harden wanted to stay. That's not on him at all. They should have just paid his worth. In fact, he didn't even ask his worth which is evident by his MVP work. That's completely on poor management.
It sad to this day the thunder had Durant Westbrook harden and they couldn't win one NBA title
This failed superteam opened the doors for another dynasty to emerge. The Thunder will not make the same mistake again and will become a dynasty
I never understood y teams like the Hawks, Thunder and Kings get to keep their titles they were literally won in different states
With the ego of KD, I doubt that won't last long either way.. Either KD ask for someone to be traded or himself
In another universe they stayed as a Team in Seattle
let's go a video about the young OKC team
I feel like the thunder should've made better moves to give their stars closer to max deals but harden should've been a little less selfish and given up $5 million for the team's success
There are a lot of reasons I hate Patrick Beverly, but hurting Westbrook is number 1 on that list
Dont add their allocates with the Sonics, man
How can it be the greatest team that never was, when they were a team for a few seasons?
They could've won at least 3 champions together 😭😭😭
Cheap Owners don't get Rings. Been proven time and time again
2012 KD second best player in front of Kobe? you smokin
5:12 the MVP voting is wrong. You showed 2012-13 instead of 2011-12. You can see James harden is on the rockets at #8
talk about a coaching fiasco
Man i really hope Russ ends his career with a ring in OKC
Man... I used to love that OG OKC team
Lebron vs. Jordan video?
Nowadays it’s hard to believe that if you place KD and Westbrook in OKC nowadays, they might not even have the best record in the west
I dont know if this Big 3 would've won a championship together? still to this day neither Westbrook nor Harden have won a ring and Durant only won his 2 playing with an All-Time GSW team. NBA didn’t want them to win. That 3-1 lead was blown purposely because the media wanted the Cavs vs Warriors rematch.
