Thank you. These buildings are quite novel for us Queenslanders. Most stuff built in QLD was from wood. It was only in Brisbane and maybe one or two other places that you can find these types of heritage buildings. Not entire towns built of stone. That’s why we love these towns so much.
@@robbot9877 thank you. I knew someone would know this. ☺️ Not quite at the halfway point, but it would’ve been a good place to rest the horses and have a break. No wonder the town was built here. It’s a great spot.
1:05 That sounds good to me! All of a sudden, I remembered that I'd read about a certain bakery in Tasmania before. Aha, I was right! I don't know anything about anime myself, but it's probably cute. So, was that the same bakery? It looks a lovely place. I remember being interested in an old cottage there and I did a bit of research on the place at the time. 👍 🦘🦘🦘🦘🦘
The older bakery was closed, sadly. This bakery has been open a while, but we couldn’t try both to compare. We probably would have done so if we could have.
It wasn’t a weekend thankfully. We were a bit surprised how many people were in the Female Factory, but I guess that’s a well known tourist attraction. The bakery was busy in the seating area inside and out. We found it much better when we moved to one of the back rooms for some quieter moments. We just don’t like to film others too much. Some people don’t like it. ☺️
Yes, and the history is far better explained we think?? Anyway, we love it. Even though it was cold, windy, with some rain and fog. Plenty to do there even in those conditions.
OVER THE DAYS YOU HAVE TAKEN US TO THESE WONDERFUL TOWNS WITH HISTORY, A VERY NICE AREA OF TASSIE.THANKS SO ENJOYABLE
Glad you enjoyed it
Never been in that part of the world, and you've presented it very well. Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed this episode.
As a native of Albion, a lot of that stonework was very familiar. First time here. Enjoy ya vids.

XLVIII is 48 miles to Launceston.
LXIX is 69 miles to Hobart.

Gee Ross was quiet when you were there. The bakery had people three deep out to the door when we were there. We had biscuits in the van :)

My friend's kids loved Tasmania. Work on your audio ladies.
I know, the wind destroyed it. We are not, by any stretch of the imagination, professionals. Do you have any suggestions to dealing with wind??
Oatlands beats Ross hands down , it has more historical buildings including the Cannington Mill
