Steve looks so much better now compared to the photos when Genie first brought him home!!! You can tell his life is filled with love and happiness.

I love this story! I had a very similar experience. In 1960 I was in the Women's Army. I am white, and met a wonderful Black man. I fell madly in love,
but my parents interfered with the relationship and forcibly separated us. I am really so very happy for you both. May God bring you many Blessings!

His skin was too dark. Ridiculous isn’t it!?! I wish they could have gotten married 42 years ago but I am happy they have each other now.
If they make a movie on this I hope they cast James Earl Jones as older Stephen, and Hayley Mills as older Jean.

I live with regret for what I did more than 40 years ago...I broke his heart and regret to this day. He got married the same year I did, I lost my husband to sickness 1 month short of our 36th anniversary...he though will celebrate 42 years this year. Found this out after finally meeting him a year ago after that awful break up.

He looks so much better now than when he was at the nursing home and all due to the lady’s tender loving care ❤. I am convinced that without her love and intervention in taking him out of the nursing home, he would already passed away. Love conquers all 💖💕.
