    You said if their air comes out of that when you remove it. Obviously there’s gonna be water that’s going to come out, so should we listen for air bubbles or just air? Because obviously there’s gonna water that comes out of it. So should we listen for air and water to come out?

    Hi, wonder if you can help? We have a vita joli spa. The heater is not working, and hence get a flow indication on the panel. There are two jet settings on the control panel, and have noticed that when jet1 (which has low and high settings) that the first low setting has no flow. The high setting seems to work fine as does jet2 and the blowers? Any help much appreciated

    Great video. Thank you. I have a FLO error on my spa running a Gecko Xe Spa Pack. Tub is new(ish) manufactured in 2017 and cleaned religiously. I’ve reset the breaker, changed filters, checked for air lock, etc. FLO keeps appearing after an hour or two. Filter cycle still runs, and the tub has great water flow and heat. Just locks out the console with FLO. I’ve taken the heater out to check for debris/hair on the flow sensor, but it’s shiny clean inside (no rust). I don’t think the heater has a flow/pressure sensor that can be removed (HEAT.WAV.XE-4-240-2INC-IF-T). Do I need to replace the entire heater? Troubleshooting guide states that at this point I need to replace the Spa Pack, but that seems insane overkill and unnecessary expense. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated at this point. Nobody wants to service spa’s a that moment due to COVID-19. I’m handy, and comfortable with any suggestions. Thanks!

      Unfortunately, you cant change the heater element or any of the sensors. That heat tube is all one piece. Need a new tube. GK 9920 101435. That's the 4kw. Sorry it wasn't easier. That's just one of those packs out there.

    • @VIPPoolsandSpas
      @VIPPoolsandSpas  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Another thing for you. Keep the old heat tube. You can use the old element when the new one goes. Not sure why Gecko doesnt sell parts for that. There just isnt item codes for parts,, so that's even harder, even if there out there.

    Any idea on a dynasty Nassau-ll-xt, it displays 291 and then r3 and then LL3 and then --- ^ ; the arrow is pointing at the filter symbol and then it recycles through all the same display on and on. At the end of the cycle I can hear a mechanical or electrical click near the heating control panel thing. If I turn on the jets using the timer on the wall, I hear a loud pump running but no jets or anything turn on. I tried taking filters off and shutting the power off and turning back on again. Nothing seems to fix it, it doesn't heat up or anything. Thanks!

      Is pump one working? When you say loud, what does that mean. See my other videos on pump bearing repairs. I do have a few if them that make a loud noise. Sounds to me it's the spa pack

    Hi, I have ACC system and when the system should heat the water I receive a massage PSOC and the heater is not working, do you know what can be the problem? all the pumps are working ans I don't have an air lock. Thanks

    • @VIPPoolsandSpas
      @VIPPoolsandSpas  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It may be the pressure switch or some other flow issue. Jumpering the switch to see if that's the pro problem. If heat turns back on.....change the switch. NOTE...DO NOT leave the pressure switch jumpered, replace the switch.

    hi have you any idea what the problem is with this ...
    the spa hadnt been used for a while, when I switched on it said flo, i turned it off then on a few times and all seemed well, however the light wasnt working nor was the temp adjustment on the topside panel, the jet button worked fine, the tub heated up but only to 37º warm but not hot ... i assumed there may be a bad connection on the control panel so i unplugged it and checked cable, it looked fine so i plugged it back in .. unfortunately i hadnt lined the pins up with the control panel connection, they ended up one hole to the left so one pin exposed on the right and one hole exposed on the left ... when i switched on i now get this, flickering ... it starts up with jets and flickers what looks like 700 then the tub after 30 seconds jets shut off and it flickers 00 ... non of the buttons now function... i tried an new control panel, but its just the same :/ it has a CTI board and controller mini max digital spa pak DWG-#4-30-1806D-3 strong spa cyprus ... th-cam.com/video/ifZqQ6DudCI/w-d-xo.html

    I have an older aegean hot tub lps 220 model and it comes up flashing SnS and dr and DrY .The temp is reading normal but when I go to heat it up the numbers fly up the water only warms up a little bit probably 2 or 3 degrees and all the error codes go away when the jets are on. Everything else works fine just the temp .Any way to resolve this ?
    Edit: on economy mode it seems to read a reasonable temp with no codes , as soon as I put it into standard it flahes with SnS and then DrY after a few minutes

      SNS is a sensor. BUT. sounds like a flow issue when you also get DR or DRY. pull filter? is the flow good (pump that pushes water thru the heater tube)

    I have a flow code coming on after draining it to were heater don't kick on, does it matter which union on left or right to loosen to try and get the air out and do u need the jets on while trying to get air out, thanks

    • @VIPPoolsandSpas
      @VIPPoolsandSpas  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If you can get to the front of the pump that pushes water thru the heat tube, I would try and loosen that one first. I sometimes turn the pump on high speed. You can hear the air coming out and when it speeds up, I tighten the union back up.

      low water, something in the pump or heat tube. Hard to say what it is without seeing and hearing it. Did you do anything to the tub? Repair anything, filter, clean tub out? Try removing the filter and see if that makes a diff.

    We had a recent brown out issue where our electrical power was spiking up and down at the house. After the electrical utility fixed that issue we then had a problem with our Jacuzzi hot tub where we have a 'FLO' error that won't go away. Typically what would be the first thing to check after power issues like that (pump? heater?)?

    • @roberthaley5448
      @roberthaley5448 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      When you get a power surge coming into your house this can do damage to any hot tub. If you have a FLO issue after a surge or a brown out, it could still be your pressure switch. Make sure your circ pump is working and test all fuses in the pak. If all good try these things also... 1) pull filter and check that. 2) open spa pak and check for burn Mark's on the board. 3) test or replace pressure switch. 4) if you hit this point......replace the board.

    Hot tub is not heating. I have great flow on my jets. I am getting dr and dry codes. My temperature gauge goes from 90 to 104 like you are counting and then kicks off. I thought my circulartion pump was going out. I removed my circulation pump and checked the impeller and no blockage but pump is running. Any ideas? Could my circulation pump be working but just not pumping enough? Thank you in advance for any help.

    • @24csturner

      Additionally, it may be labeled as a jet pump. It's a 2 cycle 12/4.4 amp. I am getting no flow from the warm water return at any time. My tub is a 3 zone and the jet pump only turns in when I have a certain zone on. Otherwise, it is not spinning. Should it be spinning 24/7? And even at that time, no water is flowing from the warm water return.

      have power on ONLY to turn the pressure switch. dont touch the wires or the board when doing this. your just listening for the relay "click". that means, the relay turned the heater on and your 3 lights should be gone.

      It's not an error code, it's just telling you it's purging. Normally you see that when you turn the power off and back on again. It will go thru it's programming, showing PR and sometimes other letters or numbers. It will go away when it done. No biggy
