Lol...Great minds think alike. When I got my rx100m7 I took a chance and ordered the same 3 battery pack with the charger. So far it has worked flawlessly. I guess we wont know how long the charger will continue to work but so far so good. I paid under 30 bucks for mine. Awesome.
@@ALinsdau Absolutely! and when I bought my m7 they hade a special where it came with an extra sony battery and charger but the charger and battery were out of stock and apparently there is no time line on when Sony is getting them in...still waiting.
Is too bad that this charger kit is not available in Amazon Canada. They have the one with single battery charger. Can you charge the original Sony NP-BX1 battery in this charger? Does it give full capacity?
Heya, thanks for the video - how do these retain charge vs the originals? BY retain charge I mean: not only while recording, but also when they're not in use - any ideas?
I just finished charging 5 batteries up this morning with the Newmowa charger. It's still going strong after a year. I rely on this little unit to get the job done. I'm still happy how it charges the RX100 NP-BX1 batteries. The USB-C port does seem to do a quicker job over the micro-USB. Newmowa RX100 battery charger: amzn.to/3a6u6dE
Hello again Aaron. Wondering if you can answer this. Can you power the RX100m7 with a battery bank plugged into it? I was out in minus 20 and ofcourse the batteries did not like it but when I plugged in the battery bank the camera said battery exhausted. I did have the usb setting set to power....Do you need to have a fully charged battery in the camera then use the external battery bank?

For the price, even if it lasts for 2 years, it's totally worth it!

I have just ordered this on Amazon, Thanks for your review
Hope you enjoy it!
Great review 👍🏻
Thanks! 👍
How long did these batteries last for video? Full charge says 100min of video?
Not 100 mins of video unless it's the lowest resolution, and even then.

Yes, I charge original and aftermarket batteries with this unit. They all go to 100% as far as I can tell.
@@ALinsdau what about changing Newmowa battery on Sony charger? How many OEM Sony NP-BX1 do you have in total to go with 3 Newmowa.
How have the batteries held up? do they hold charge as long as the Sony brand ones?
The batteries that I've had for a decade still work quite well.

I'm doing long-term testing. I'll make an update if I notice anything.
@@ALinsdau thanks - any sort of feedback you can provide now :)?
Since we’re close to a year since this video was posted, any updates? How have they held up over time?

@@ALinsdau Awesome! And have the newmowa batteries themselves held up well too? Thanks!
How about comparing the duration of the charge of the Newmowa battery against the original ones when recording video?
Good idea - I'll have to add that to the video queue.

If the battery in the camera dies, the camera won't like it. You need an alive battery and then the battery bank "should" keep things going.
@@ALinsdau Thanks for that. I tested that out and it seems to be the case.Cheers.
