it looks like these characters were carved into existing buildings. they are rough carved but the uncarved walls are smoove

This guide knows nothing and he has nicely made up a story about Ramayana, Mahabharata and what not.. He is showing the victorious Kalinga emperor Kharavela as Ashoka being attended by Kalinga women on a cave complex made by Kharavela.
