My optima is cutting off when I turn left. I think it’s the low pressure fuel pump so this video helps a lot. Little worried about that unscrewing part though. Thanks for the video!! 👍🏻
Recently got my 2019 Kia and it was giving me this issue already. It started with a dead battery and once I replaced that it still wouldn’t turn on then it would but turn off on its own again. It’s in the shop right now as I type for a fuel pump
Really good video… got both high pressure and tank fuel pump .. to be on the safe side also got them both from a junkyard. The tank fuel pump solved my problem if anyones wondering . Got an 2019 Kia Optima s 2.4
3:13 So ideally, instead of buying pieces, just replace the whole thing? If so, thank you. No other youtube video explained that this is all one part you can buy together instead of separat. I bought a brand new one for 165. I thought i had to buy a filter separate, smh
Well, it would work and then once the car would heat up it would shutoff. And then once it cooled down for 15 min it would drive again. So, it was actually the back fuel pump, not the front high pressure one.
@@garageboy6903I have this exact problem right now it will idle for awhile but when I drive it when it’s at temperature it was start sputtering on me and shut off were you have the same problem?
I should have replaced the whole things from a junk yard but I bought a brand new fuel pump and put it in but it is t priming anymore or even sound like it's turning on even though the old one turned on before taking it out do you think it's the fuel pump ?
My car runs to about 1/4 of a tank then it dies and won’t start up but are a few seconds here and there. Then I put 5 gallons in and it runs until 1/4 of a tank the diesel again

What code were you getting, was the old pump intermittently working?

@@isaiahperez3341 do the same thing and it should fix your problem
Yes, it would work but soon as turning warm, it would shut off. Code was for the fuel pump pressure too low
thank you bro
No problem

I’m thinking maybe you got a bad fuel pump. Return it and get another one.
