I just watched one of your five-year-old videos on making the different coffee, soaps, the stinted, coffee soap, the Irish cream, coffee soap, and the espresso soap. They all sound luscious… Love to see you do that again.
Another great video. I love the colours and think they are perfect for the smell, being woodsy, and I like that they are not your usually colours. I myself have a hard time being diversely with my colour schemes so I wish I too could be more adventuress. Kudos to your husband.
@@moriversoap as soon as I bought the cocoa butter and cashmere scent, I wanted to make a fuzzy sweater soap 🤪. I couldn’t think of a smart way to make it fuzzy, so this idea seems pretty perfect!

Frankincense and Myrrh is a very light woodsy scent. It’s one of those that tends to soap really well and doesn’t discolor. But you also need to use a little more to smell it real well.
That is good to know! I was reading through reviews and I never saw a fragrance blend that people said was authentic. Since I don't know what it smells like, I was concerned that I wouldn't be able to pick a good one.
@@moriversoap The one I usually use is from BeScented. I tend to have very good luck with their fragrances. It helps because I can always watch their testing videos to see how the fragrance soaps before I use it. That’s always helpful!

You can sure tell you’ve been soaping for quite some many years, because of how steady that hand is, with even a larger stick blender! I just barely keep control with a small one! 😂 And this last release was sooooo Amazing and such a BEAUTIFUL lineup! I got the release before and missed out on just a couple this time but I’m sooo happy 😊 with what I did get! Looking forward to the next release for sure! 😄😄

Sorry I didn't get to order anything this go round😔. By the time I remembered your release was open and ready, everything I REALLY wanted was sold out, and I wasn't feeling the greatest. My son gave me an electric wax warmer for my bday this year, so I'll finally be able to use the wax melts I've been ordering for myself, instead of giving them away for Christmas 🎄!
You've mentioned in previous videos how sometimes the soaps you think are going to fly off the shelf don't sell as quickly, and the ones you think are going to hang around for a while sell out in no time. I guess this was one of those instances. I thought it was amusing when your son finally realized what all the banging from your studio was...lol. I thought, "Her children don't watch her videos just like my children don't watch mine." 😂
It sure was one of those instances. I think it was the star of this season. Ha right. They say they do to give me a view but I don't think they actually pay attention. LOL

I ask them to just play it in the background (from beginning to end, to help my stats) when they're busy doing something else, just so I can get a view, and if they are reluctant to do that, my standing request is that they at least click on the video, give it a thumbs up, and then go on with their life...lol. Needless to say, these things rarely happen. Kids...
I've just tried to find it but not having any luck. I'm not sure why it's not in my Amazon orders and I can't find it in my email either. LOL It's a KitchenAid and the closest one I can find on Amazon is over $300. I know I didn't pay anywhere near to that. I've had it for a couple of years.
Hi Holly, Love your videos!! I have been working on my own soaps and I wanted to pick your brain about why you add your milk before thin trace? And why you don't usually freeze your milk and add the lye to the frozen milk?
Hi Shannon! Thank you! I just add a small amount of milk to my batches. This can be done at trace...but it also can be done in the oils so that is my preferred method. I prefer it because I can get the milks blended in super well. Sometimes milks will have 'bits and bobs' aka solids that the stick blender might not get broken down as easily when the milks are added at trace and you don't want to further the trace of your soap. Coconut milk almost always has little solids somehow even though I stick blend the can's worth before I use it. When using cream and similar milks, they can form a skin between the time it is measured and the time I actually get it in the pot. So again, when adding to the oils, I've confirmed that I have it all blended in nicely and I don't have to worry about accelerating the batch. The only time that I freeze the milk is when I am doing a full milk soap. That means that all of the liquid used with the lye is in milk form and it needs to be frozen so that the lye doesn't burn it.
I used a similar fragrance in my soap and the top of my gray-blue sky soap turned bright green 💚😫. I really like the smell but I'm leary about using it again out of fear it will discolor my batch.

I say no to the frankincense and myrrh soap. They are very strong scents, like patchouli on steroids, in my opinion, anyway. You keep doing what YOU do and we will buy it up, lol!
I love it and I used to live in Missouri and it does bring back the memories of the beautiful fall colors, I bet it smells amazing.
