I'm so grateful to Printer Potty. I just had the new pads for my Epson printer installed. I ordered the replacement ink pads and reset key and it was quite easy to do with a little help from a friend (I'm in my 80s). Brilliant! Just a note to say that my L355 (a very early one) only has a single screw and no clip-off cover: the screw fastens directly into the end of the waste pod.
Oh, the old pads were *sooo* juicy!! 😁 It doesn't get a lot of use, and the CMY colours are still on their original bottle charges from when I bought it new; I've refilled the black once. However, it's requested pad changes twice in that time-I did a count reset without a change the first time. 🥴

Hi Judy, If the ink tubes needed to be unclogged it's likely the printhead and ink feed tubes are themselves clogged up too. I'd look for videos that show you how to clear out the internal ink feed system (like this: th-cam.com/video/WhNYwfWf-oI/w-d-xo.html) and others that help with clearing out the printhead itself (lots of those around).
I may end up doing a video on the subject at some point but it's multiple months away at present. Hope that's of some help.

Hello, my ET2600 initially starts to load paper but it skews to one side and goes no further. Could it be a problem with the roller(s) and if so do you have a video on how to replace or clean them please? Thanks.
More likely to be a paper fragment or some similar bit of material that catches or blocks the side that holds the paper back. Strong light and careful observation usually locates it.

I have just changed the pads as per your great instructions but the printer still says " ink pad needs service" and it is locking me out of any printer functions. Do I need to do anything to reset it? Michele
Yes. The waste ink counter still needs to be reset using the WICReset app with a key/credit. There’s videos explaining that on this channel too.
@@octoinkjet From which country is the WICReset app? I read that they encrypt one of their files that normally doesn't get encrypted unless it's hiding malware.
The developers are based in Ukraine. We're aware that there has been plenty of scuttlebutt about the potential for malware, etc... and there are, without doubt been similar apps that have been released with malware installed within. Worth noting that we have had direct communication with the developers for quite a few years now so we can safely discount such rumours for ours and the 2manuals versions of the app. But at the same times we practice "trust but verify" which is why we test our version against tools like virustotal and follow up on any warnings to determine whether false positives, etc... To date, all have been exactly that, false positives based on heuristic detection routines.

I know this is a very old video but just hoping you still might be able to help! I've just replaced the ink pads as you have in this video but when I turn the printer on it says "The ink pad needs service, contact Epson" wirh error code E-11 is there any way to get rid of this!!

I have cleaned my ink pads put them back into my printer et 2650 but because I print everything from my phone and my printer keeps saying ink pads needs service how do I reset my counter please help me
what do you call the other pad inside the printer, below the printerhead, square size with a hole in the middle
Assuming you mean the area that the printhead rests on when cleaning or not in use, that’s the “capping station”

Will the printer automatically detect that there are new pads? I got the end of life warning and a reset download that did not work.
No, there's no detection sensor or similar in printers like the ET-2600 so you do need to reset the waste ink counter. If you're having problems using the WICReset utility/app, then please contact support for help. The more information you can provide about your computer and operating system the easier it'll be to help further.
Windows 10 but I hook it straight up to the printer with the USB cable and it just says an error.

My error message won’t go away so replacing the pad didn’t really do anything ?
Assuming the error is waste ink related you do still have to reset the waste ink counter. Our videos about the WICReset app help with that.
