    OMG good thing I saw this video. I was panicking because I live in Vancouver and was wondering why I still had an ! On the medallion part of the checklist😅

      Canadians can now get Medallions shipped to them! If you're interested in getting into Green Lane you can do that now. Glad this video was helpful!

    Thanks for showing what the embarkation process was like. We never have our medallion sent to our home, so we also were changed from Green Lane to Blue Lane in the app. I was wondering how crazy things might be at the terminal. Guess we'll just try to get there nice and early.

      Thanks for watching and hope your process is as smooth as ours. Like I said in the video, we didn't have signage but lots of staff were directing.

    You can now have it shipped to Canada

      Yes! At the time of this video you couldn't. I did an update when the announcement was made. Also in my boarding day tips video I mentioned it too.

    Thanks for the great informative video. My wife and I are leaving in 12 days and I was panicking about this process as there has been little information about
    the whole boarding process. As we live in the same town as embarkation we have to pick up our medallions at the port and we have no boarding pass at this
    point. Your channel has put my mind at rest but I'll be happier when we're sitting in our cabin. Thanks again.

      So glad this was able to put your mind at rest! This was back in August during the first voyage they were doing it. I'm sure it's even smoother now! Have an amazing cruise!

    Just purchased a princess cruise first time since 2011,looks very confusing the app.checking In ect.seems very stressful for seniors.I never have depended on a cell phone before,QR code,lol don’t even know what that is!

    • @travelingbeyondboundaries
      @travelingbeyondboundaries  15 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I totally understand the frustration. You can do the process on a computer, you don't need a phone. If you used a travel agent, I recommend contacting them and they can do it for you. It's a service I do for my clients all the time.
      You can also do what you can figure out and leave the rest to do at the port. You can then just go in the Blue Lane and they will figure it all out for you in person.
      When are you cruising? I plan on doing a walkthrough of the app check in soon but I'm not sure when.

    Did they have Ellie line up, I am also from Canada. Therefore no medallion

    • @travelingbeyondboundaries
      @travelingbeyondboundaries  ปีที่แล้ว

      From what I saw there was no Elite line before picking up the medallion. After that there was a separate waiting lounge (Platinum and Elite) with priority boarding.

    • @travelingbeyondboundaries
      @travelingbeyondboundaries  ปีที่แล้ว

      Not sure if you saw the news or not but they are now shipping to Canada! Contact Princess or your travel agent and they can change any existing "pick up at port" to "ship to home" as long as there is enough time.

    Can you drop off your luggage with a porter at the terminal for princess cruise pier 27 or do you have to get in a line with your luggage?

    • @travelingbeyondboundaries
      @travelingbeyondboundaries  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Are you talking about pier 27 in San Francisco? Sorry there are a lot of cruise ports and I'm not super familiar with that one other than I have clients going there next year. It's not a common port for myself or clients. Every port I've been at had luggage drop off through so I'm guessing it will be the same there.

      @@travelingbeyondboundaries yes pier 27 in San francisco. I think you just get in line with your luggage and hand it to them.

    As a travel agent were you able to go to the elite lounge after finishing all the academy courses ? Im going on a cruise soon and I have completed all the training, and was wondering if you were able to enjoy all the elite perks because you finished all your training for princess?

    • @travelingbeyondboundaries
      @travelingbeyondboundaries  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes! All the Elite perks, including laundry. We cruise Princess before and will continue to multiple times a year so naturally we will earn it soon but it was nice to experience it as a perk from completing all the training.

      @@travelingbeyondboundaries ty so much! super excited to check it all out! Were your perks already attached to your medallion or booking # or did you have to ask?

    • @travelingbeyondboundaries
      @travelingbeyondboundaries  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      They were connected to my Captain's Circle number which I linked to my One Source. My Medallion came as Elite but you can also get the sticker for it at guest services since it should be linked to your Captain's Circle number.

    Thanks for your helpful video! Question - did you say you had to give up your passport? If yes, why? And when did you get it back? I'm going on my first cruise to Alaska on the Discovery Princess, but from Seattle. I am also Canadian. Thank you. 😊

    • @travelingbeyondboundaries
      @travelingbeyondboundaries  ปีที่แล้ว

      No, you don't need to give up your passport. The only country I've heard about is Ireland. With there you get it back once the ship leaves the port. For Alaska you'll need to show it but you keep it. The only time we've been asked since boarding was on an excursion (train to BC in Skagway) because we entered Canada. We've seen the Discovery a few times in port with us. If you have any other questions please let me know! Alaska has been incredible and I can't wait to head back one day.

      Sorry you feel that way. I film when I can, where I can, and for this video it meant in a hotel room with my daughter wanting my attention and the ship. Many of my info videos I film alone in my office but others (like my recent new app update) my daughter is present. Feel free to check out other videos or move along to a different channel if mine isn't for you. Thanks for checking out this video, have a great day!

      You’re daughter is adorable and did not interfere with your video at all! Thanks for the good information. We are Canadian too and chose to pick up our medallion there because we are doing a bit of travelling before our cruise and don’t want to lose it. I may phone them though and have them mail it to us after all in order to avoid the blue lane. I have to phone them anyway because when I ordered our medallions online they mixed it up and put one medallion under “guest” instead of my name. When I tried to fix it they added a third lanyard (there are only two of us) and still have things under “guest”. I can’t seem to fix it online! 😅

      Thanks so much! I originally had them going to the port but then when they announced shipping in Canada I had to call to have them change it. It wasn't hard, just a bit of a pain. I wish they had the option to switch on the app.
