I think without barrierst its actually pretty fair now. You can play around empen if your deck doesnt fokus on links, and most of the time a single handtrap can end their turn

And really? Fair? Yeah it’s totally fair that Floo players turn to communism as they’re playing on your turn with the trap card or if you normal summoned and they had their field spell. Yeah it’s totally fair that decks that special summon are basically screwed going second because Empen is an archetype specific mystic mine and also nigh impossible to out since Empen can decrease the attack of special summoned monsters that have 2.8k+ atk by Empen’s effect.
And don’t even give me started on Rhongo Floo.

@@solo8123 roughly 83% of players run a ever lasting combo deck. Rest of the 17% run simple decks that are light on the combos or straight forward

Runik is like how some archetypes play a different game entirely. Except the runik game is all about if you can make your opponent quit by playing on their turn before they can get their combo off
I just surrender so I can actually enjoy the game, I'd rather not leave platinum anyways, the one time I got to diamond I realized it's only the decks everyone hates that gets played, it's like playing casual 😂

Runick is the most toxic deck I've ever seen, for me nothing is worst than that. Honorable mentions: runick spright
Mystic Mine stun from the TCG a few months ago was even more toxic. Konami almost didn't ban the card too lmao but the community was too vocal

I just got back into Yu-Gi-Oh and was still learning to play so I got master duel. I wish I didn't after learning half these decks existed I just stopped bothering.
It’s why I started playing duel links after several years of not playing. Games are much quicker
@@graysonsmith4344 but then I start dealing with the p2w stuff, the grind, the kill joy helpers in the discord that make sure to remember you how garbage the archetype you like is every chance they get.
I for one love drytron, it's the one deck that allows good variety with ritual monsters. It's the god damn herald that i hate.
Yeah Drytron is one of the coolest archtypes made and one of the best supports to ritual summoning
People always complained about rituals being weak as shit and unplabyable
Well konami literally printed an archetype that made them playable and you all are bitching about it

@@JokerShiranui some good drytron tech cards are megalith phul, megalith och, megalith bethor, cyber angel benten idaten and natasha, diviner of the herald (for consistency), the ishizu cards, cyber emergency, preparation of rites. extra deck cards like cross sheep, black luster soldier, nephthys the sacred flame, apollousa, lyrilusc assembled nightingale+downerd magician to go into Zeus, herald of arc light, elder entity n'tss
As a numeron player, I find it a compliment to be labeled as one of the worst decks. Better than being a meta slave.
You understand that being an FTK-Rerunner is exactly as enslaved to the Meta as, say, playing full power Tear or Kashtira, right?
All three examples are about racing to a win con without playing the game in any meaningful way.
All three examples do the exact same optimal line whenever humanly possible.

Floowandereeze with a good hand normals summons 5 times a turn...also barely anyone plays floowandereeze since statue was banned.the deck fr died. Drytron got power crept. Spright can be lumped in with runnick,they go hand in hand. drytron can be replaced with swordsoul now. Instant win easy 1 step combo usually,no deviation,just basically playing a solo mode simulation.
Floo was the second most represented deck as recently as the last duelist cup and won an MCS on Spright release week. It also summons 5 times on your turn which most decks don't do.
@@TheShapestofSnatches that's also a different format that what we're in now,not to mention swordsoul and spright and runnick variants like live twin or spright, and tri brigade and exosister and any deck other than labyrinth or eldlich can sneeze out 5 summons,before their normal summon

Yeah no "floowandereeze was the second most represented" in either,even going back to sprights release.im seeing actual floowandereeze representation from months ago,not anything recent. For either. I'm guessing you saw one clip from a floowandereeze player one of the rounds or one top cut match and is for some reason unhappy about that. But that headcannon is incorrect

Floo is the second most represented non spright deck across all user submitted diamond ladder + tournament + current Duelist cup decks within the past 2 weeks (the only data we have available for western MD resources)

I had my opponent reusing the damn field spell at least 4 or 6 times... It's insane the amount of refresh these spell cards have

Albaz is my number one. I use to be one of the few albaz users cause everyone said the concept was trash but now it's the new meta.
Anything that's not tier 0-1 is considered trash.
As a branded man, ppl tend to act a bit goofy when I put 2 masquerades
God the dream for me is to throw up three of those and see how much they're willing to suffer to do their meta hell decks.

When it comes to eldlitch, I started running a 60 card combo variant with grass. Rarely ever see the grass, but I am also still working on tuning to what I want it to do. Yes, summoning the fusion for the flex is nice.
Also, since Golden Lord is a zombie and mezuki along side the lixers and run book of life. It's fun for me at least, but putting up multi-negate boards isn't what I go for, I just love overwhelming my opponent with powerful guys with good effects that can playthrough a tough board.
I would rather play against numeron for the rest of my life than any of these other decks.

Good list, but let me adjust this list for you. All 5 any order: Runick Ishizu, Runick Spright, Spright Evil Twin, Ishizu Shaddoll, Branded (double or triple Masquerade) lol honorable mention. ROCKS!! Adamancipator cards take forever!!! 😂😂

Hey now, as a dedicated Eldlich player, floodgates are only 20% of my deck. I still got my uni-zombies, Baledroch and zombie worlds.
I got my friend into master duels and helped build him a true red eyes deck and vampire deck (they were tribal decks with easy of use traps/spells) he did amazing with them and got through gold with them. Then he hit the attempt for diamond and was brutally beat down, he then committed the sin of becoming a numeron one turn kill hoe. My sadness that he had fallen to their temptation.
One archetype I hope gets updated eventually is the Evil HEROs. It's such an interesting concept and yet hasn't had love in a hot minute.
My beef with floo is how much it does during the opponents turn gets very irritating.

Keep in mind, it took two of the stronest duelists in the zexal series to BARELY win, even with shining draw it wasn't enough, they even Needed help from Kite.
An updated version of this list would almost certainly add Tears and Kash somewhere on there.
For some reason, when I play Krawler, I always get paired against Numeron and they just... Sit there. It's an equal state of stall

You forgot the decks that essentially make it to where your opponent doesn't even get to have a turn let alone play the game
A point on the contentious Eldlich, literally no meta Deck "plays YGO". Every meta Deck is fundamentally about breaking and ruining the experience for whoever you may be playing against. It's not about skill, moreso RNG as this is a card game. It's not about "playing YGO" it's about winning, often in most toxic ways possible. If people want to "play YGO", they can go back to the Kabia Format.

@@TheShapestofSnatches I play Branded Despia, Swordsoul and Scareclaw Tri-brigade. Each seek to screw over the opponent in a toxic manner. I'm trying to adopt more "degenerate" decks like Runick to be honest. If you can't beat'em, join'em. I haven't even played Eldlich, it's probably pretty interesting to pilot or boring. I'm gonna go with boring.
@@TheShapestofSnatches Literally just this week have I incorporated I:P into my Scareclaw Tri-brigade deck and that's just incredibly rotten. Being able to set up Baron with Scareclaw Reichheart and Visa Startforst on top of I:P is incredibly toxic. The Barom negate into an I:P'd (phrasing) Scareclaw Tri Heart on my opponents turn to tap lock their board is just over the top powerful.

Yeah. This is too hard(without solitaire play), but interesting.
That's what my deck has been since the game released. It sacrifices floodgates because I dislike them, and instead goes all in on getting the gates out, atking then getting C1 and using the unchained twins to summon C1000. Sadly, in my admitly off and on time playing the deck, I've gotten him out only 3 or 4 times, and I've never managed to get CI1000. The other problem is that he kinda sucks because his atk comes from the effect of Chaos Ritual, so if he gets flipped down, he becomes wothless. I kinda wished they just kept the atk at the anime value and just have made him impossible to summon by any method other than Ritual, because he's hard enough to bring out as is. When you can manage it, it really shouldn't be so easy to render him useless.
My brother in christ, every deck in Yu-Gi-Oh is win or lose.

The deck I hate the most is the labrynth deck they take forever and everything only activate during your turn it’s annoying as hell
Honorable mentions: any Spright Variants, DD Dynamite FTK, Skystrikers, Endymion, Heroes and personally any non archetype Zombie Deck
Runick is not that bad compared to full eldlich stun
Runick is the same exact thing except they mill you to death. And can still disrupt you multiple times after that
Eldlich atleast can OTK you, Runnick kills you with slow and painful Cancer
When runick was first introduced, I legit played Metaphys thunder dragon with antispell fragrance on 3.
Glad my favorite and only meta or now semi meta deck is no longer hated. I love the fur hire cards
As much as i hate these decks, the whole game at large needs a rebalance. Just cap special summons to 3 a turn, draws to 5 a turn, and remove all hand traps from the game.
"special summons to 3 a turn" i understand that too many special summons are toxic, but there are meta decks that do very few special summons but they're still toxic, and there are deck that made more than 3 special summons per turn but have nothing wrong
"draws to 5" the worst thing meta decks have is to literally use anything they have in the hand even if there's only 1 normal summon, if they're fullfill their hand each turn, the game would be even worse
"remove all hand traps" they're a necessary evil for the current state of the game, they can be removed if the game become slow and fun again, but not in this moment
@@vonakakkola thats a fking lie, 99% of games i have seen summon 20 things a turn, idc how much some decks suffer more than others. Fk off with that shit, none of it is ok. And draw decks to just be able to do more in reguards to things that are not SS can only be stopped by draw limit, then we wouldnt need hand traps.
I've come to find that floodgate stun players are usually the worst players possible

I got really bored when I matched with Flowandereeze. Every time i make a move, it follows with like 10 summon, every time.
the only time i win against it is because i activate "skill drain"

I hate runick decks but I have both made them surrender in Master Duel and straight out gone back and forth turn for turn and ended up beating them with my red dragon archfiend deck
How quickly the meta and hated deck list changes
One time I was stuck in a game with a runick player for god knows how long
I was playing Metafis and he Conceded when I made a necro face go over 4000 ATK and he had nothing to defend himself. It was a bit unsatisfying to not lay that final hit but the replay of that duel is one of my favorites. Runick player meets his natural predator
My first experience with foo was wow this guy took a decently long turn.

I learned to bully Numeron by slotting in Quaking Mirror Force, Bye Bye Damage, and Magic Cylinder. I actually keep Quaking and Bye Bye in my decks these days just because they are still useful. Since Bye Bye is a non targeting and effects player not monster it can be used to get passed unaffected by Card Effect Monsters or target protected monsters.
My list is more like
1 spirts - easily describe as a recycling deck
2 sword soul - one card that can go into 2 boss monster 1 negate and the other banish 2, 1 on field 1 grave
3 runnick - stun
4 numeron - attack phase
5 eldlitch - only 3 main deck monster, all other are hand traps, counter trap, spell, traps (possible to beat with a solid plan or being able to keep a board presence until they run out or mess up)
Dude my favourite decks are Eldlich stun and Runick stun. This is an insult to me and my kind, and yes, I am loved by my family I just though the Archetypes were neet when I first saw them not knowing the hate towards them was so large

When I played numeron I tried to play into chaos gate’s effect damage ._.
I only used Floow do to it being the only deck I could find that could constantly summon an Earthbound Immortal at the time.
I can agree with most of those, but Tearlaments, before their banning of cards were annoying af to deal with if you couldn't lock them out in the GY or on the field.

Funny enough, I was facing an Eldlich deck with a deck with a Blue-Eyes engine. I almost had them beat by continuing to resummoning my BEWD, but my True Light got destroyed, and my Blue-Eyes got sent to the grave for the last time. If I had pulled my Dragon's Mirror, this would have been a totally different story.
Crazy how far Runick has come. From #1 most hated to #1 most hated. They grow up so fast.
This needs to be updated since it's now Jan '24. The list should be Trashtira, Runick, Flow, Purrely, Numeron. I don't even see Drytron or Eldlich in ranked anymore.

@@vonakakkolaIt's toxic, brain dead, and requires literally no skill to play. Sometimes you'll get otk turn 1 if you don't have the right hand traps. Thank God I'm in a higher rank so I won't have to deal with those bums anymore. Most toxic decks won't make it past Plat 3 in ranked anyways.

Herald Drytron you only needed to stop 1 monster unless they had orange on hand. Adamancipators were up there with them.
Eldlich was prime floodgate era with no limits added.
Numerons is unga bunga but truly a go 2nd turn deck. It can hardcore be stopped with modern 1st turn decks.
Every new meta deck is an absolute floodgate, mill, and play on your opponent's turn deck with multiple powerful cards that not even a single Kaiju/tribute or heavy row removal is enough.
Don't forget that ftk utopia and number 100 xyz combo shit people pull off making you lose before you can even draw on your first turn-

I just use the numerons in my Deck to draw 4 cards.. Since i play, numerounious, exodia, tierra, unchained in one deck ^^
