When you talk about honey, please mention using wooden spoons instead of metal to protect antibacterial benifits in honey.
I didn’t know this, but it makes sense. Thanks for mentioning it.
Thank you for the clarification.
Excellent! Thank you
Great info, thanks!
I use monk fruit alone NOW has it plain in drops without alcohol & the plain powder. They Also have flavored caramel & vanilla. Love them. Also found monk fruit with Allulose for baking by Lakanto
I appreciate you. You answered all my questions.
You are awesome Dr. Livingood!
Thank You
I love your videos! There’s just so much junk on TH-cam, that I also love and lost videos just geared to keep ppl watching giving out a tiny bit of valuable info in the very end, and you just give so much valuable info the whole time. Thank you for your time, experience and for honestly!
Thanks for being here with us! -LGD Team
Thank you! Will definitely be swapping out sugar.
Thank you for joining us here on TH-cam:) -LGD Team
Thank you! I love Sweet Leaf Stevia in my coffee and Coconut Sugar (organic) and had become afraid of all sugar! Much needed help! How much coconut sugar is too much?
I use manuka honey for my GERD and it is terrific for that problem
You're a god send!!! :)
Thanks, I've been wondering about this topic!! I love maple syrup & was curious about coconut sugar. I do think however, that that was a honey bear, not honey bunny😏
I use monk fruit without erythritol but can't use honey anymore.. I'm pre-diabetic..i also ordered your book and vitamins. I'm hoping they help. I just ordered organic coconut sugar because you said it's lower glycemic. Thank you!
This is great, switched to fake sweetener , didn’t care for some, using sweet & low
What about xylathol birch tree not corn what is your thought about it.?
I want to know about the Skinny Syrup's that people cook with or put in coffee as a sweetener. How do you rate them? Are there some better for you than others?
I use " Now Foods" liquid monk fruit extract.....it's the best flavored sugar substitute that I've found...
Nice video
Can you use Dates as an option?
I swapped honey for agave. Bad idea huh? Liquid stevia too expensive. I use monk fruit too.
If you have a fatty liver. Can you use plant based sugar?
If simple fractions are too much math, then such a person has something they should be working on. Everyone should be able to add fractions or convert ratios. That's not just math, it's a basic life skill.
I thought coconut sugar had a unusual kind of unpleasant taste as well
Truvia actually caused memory loss for me! Be careful with that one
I’m looking on Amazon at all the sweeteners..you’re right..even the monk fruit contains erythritol. The orange box one..Lakanto..it says it has organic erythritol. Is that better? Want to avoid any stomach issues. I use the Truvia white and brown sugar in seldom made cookies so I guess that’s not a big concern. I just can’t find any packets of anything without erythritol.
Yes, organic is better! It's okay to have it in there if you can't find another, you'll just want to keep it in moderation because your digestive system can have a sensitivity to it! -LGD Team
What are your thoughts on allulose as an alternative sweetener?
Allulose is an exception because it does not spike insulin levels -LGD Team
To me it seems like the powdered stevia tastes terrible.. that was for use in coffee.. but I do not see how it could taste any different in any other application. So you guys are saying that liquid Stevia is actually sweet and taste better?
You didn’t mention Splenda. My husband uses it in his coffee in the morning. I don’t care for Stevia, as it has a bitter aftertaste to me. I am going to try the coconut sugar. Thanks!
Splenda is the worse
The monkfruit I have also contains malrodrextrin. Is maltodrextrin ok?
Nope...maltodextrin is another hidden sugar
I refuse to use artificial sweeteners. If I can’t use sugar, I’ll just do without. I drink my coffee black. I save sweets for special occasions.
Honey...you grew up with the Bear...not the Bunny 😉🐻🐰
Lol yes bear! Not bunny ;) he’s human and I love DLG!
😂😂😂
What do you think about Xylitol
Check out this video DLG made on what to look for when buying sugar substitutions: th-cam.com/video/tOnMarFBOr4/w-d-xo.html For sugar alternatives, we recommend stevia and monk fruit! Have been using monkfruit for many, many years. Curious about molasses as substitute for sugar? Definitely less grams of sugar than honey, etc. Your thoughts?
For sugar alternatives, we prefer stevia and monk fruit! Check out our specific product/brand recommedations for these on Dr. Livingood's Amazon Marketplace page through the link in his bio! DLG also has a video on TH-cam under "Avoid These Sugar Substitutes" that I'd recommend watching! -LGD Team
Unpasteurized! I have buckwheat honey at home it's dark and tastes like molasses lol. But great to cure what ails you
Does Monk Fruit affect your sugar levels? I really have to watch that.
It does not. ☺️ -LGD Team
What about using raw unfiltered Honey???
That's great after you've reached your health goals! -LGD Team
I have advanced stages of diabetic gasteoperesis, and other medical issues. I’m determined to quit all these pills they throw my way making things worse, and educating myself about as much as possible from every angle to be healthy. So far pharma is making me worse.

I like Xylitol
We're not fans of Xylitiol. -LGD Team
I didn’t see any of your honey mentions or maple syrup in your link you said to go to? Just curious. I know this video was a year ago so hope you can still answer 🤷🏻♀️

@@DrLivingood Thank you! Will check it out. I kind of got the impression It would be better to find a monkfruit w/o erythritol.
Seroc,hi I will give you this brand that I use ,the package,s color is orange,Lakanto Monkfruit, sweetener clasic 😊
I'm curious about Pyure Granular Sweetner? The ingredients: Organic Erythritol, Organic Stevia Leaf Extract (Reb A),
I was wondering if any of your Greens were without a sweetener. I tried the non flavored but it was too sweet for me.
My unflavored has no sweetener 👍
@@DrLivingood thank you for the video. Very helpful. what are your thoughts on date syrup?
I donot take sugar on my ☕ ☕ just milk almond milk
I use Xylitol to sweeten my dark, baking chocolate. Is Xylitol a good choice?
In moderation it’s okay as long as it’s not sourced from GMO corn. Birch is the preferred source we recommend. -LGD Team
I have been using Xylitol for 6 months now. In my coffee and tea. What’s in moderation mean for this. Yes I drink tea all day. 🤷♀️
All birch xylitol
What is wrong with diet cola's?
Here is an article from Dr. Livingood on the effects of soda. -LGD Team drlivingood.com/unraveling-the-hidden-dangers-of-soda-how-it-affects-your-body-and-what-you-can-do-about-it/
Will any of these sugar help to increase sugar levels. I was told twice my sugar level is low. Looking for healthy remedies / foods to help keep my sugar level stable.
Blood sugar levels are supposed to fluctuate, especially when we are going through the process of insulin sensitivity. Most common things that throws the blood sugar, is cortisol (while you sleep) and how your liver is now cleaning and processing sugars, and switching your engines from sugar burning mode to fat burning mode. Give it time and consistency! For support, I'd recommend our Apple Cider Vinegar Capsules, take two servings per day for maximum blood sugar support. -LGD Team
@@DrLivingood Thanks for responding. I used to take Apple Cider Vinegar Capsules for years . Recently, my doctor told me to stop taking because of my acid reflux.
I buy my honey from Costco, I usually buy the organic raw honey in the bear 🐻 bottle or the local raw honey but the local raw honey one isn't organic. Out of these two I buy from Costco which would be the best option? Should I trust the bear bottle that says organic raw honey?

@@DrLivingood I've already seen this video, I don't like the taste of stevia or monkfruit, I use honey and coconut sugar.
Monk Fruit was great before Stevia bought them out and now it is as bad as Stevia.
its not a bunny its a bear
😂
Date sugar?
I was wondering about date syrup too?
It is not a bunny but a teddy bear
Donate made a mistake on my type
pure Monkfruit is not one to one with sugar ... you better not say that. Maybe you meant a mix? Allulose is one to one, but certainly NOT MONKFRUIT.
What should we use if we are doing a lot of home canning and the recipes call for sugar? What do we use?
Coconut sugar or monk fruit ideally
Sadly, I had a bad reaction to Monk fruit sugar! I put it in my chocolate chip cookies and it made me feel lightheaded and also I couldn’t think straight! It was awful!
Sorry to hear that. Thank you for joining us here on TH-cam! -LGD Team
@@DrLivingood Thanks but I love using coconut sugar! Hope you have a Awesome Day!
@@DrLivingoodis organic sugar I get at a health food store- it’s like a brown sugar- is that ok to use? Hope can get a reply please 🙏🏼
Thank you for no erythritol in your products. My tummy does not like it!
I wish I could donot to your page not at this moment sorry
