Kiriya being all salty before his Empress, angrily letting his "replacement" know "you better not screw this up!", right before being led by Shin's brother into his... next assignment. Leaving Shin and Frederica together to keep moving ahead. Which is kind of a theme in this series.
When Frederica saw Kiri screaming in pain, anger, hatred, and rage in her vision. in herThere she realized his mind is gone, he was not and will not come back. His mind is lost so Frederica has no other choice but to let go of her knight and give him peace. That is why she gave the location of where Kiri is to Shin and he ended Kiri for her.
0:59 I believe the thing that really drove it home was him hearing that Lena was dead. Lena was the one person he hoped would live longer than him, to remember him. With her gone, he will end up alone, with everybody else going ahead of him. Makes it hard for him to want to stay alive.
Interesting note: During the battle there were two instances of artillery shells that bombarded the Morpho. The first one consisted of explosive shells that blew up all around the machine. They did some damage, but definitely distracted it. But the second set consisted of shells full of flammable liquid. So when the Morpho tried to stop them by cutting them apart, this liquid got spread all over the machine. If they had been explosive shells like the first set, then breaking them apart would have prevented them of doing anything. But since they were filled with flammable liquid instead, when they got broken up, it created more damage than the first set of explosive shells due to the burning. The person that coordinated the 2 bombardments knew what they were doing and was counting on the second set getting broken up. A great strategist!
Yes, she is. And the Federacy engineers' practical joke to leave her Para-RAID resonance pattern in Shin's device turned out to be possibly life-saving because Shin knew to fall back before the incendiaries dropped. 😊
After that ending we that watched the show every week had to wait 86 days for the last 2 Ep to come out it hurt so much, but got so say is was so worth the wait master piece of a anime
