    After months of wearing the Lems Trailhead V2, here are my thoughts. While I wouldn't really call them a minimalist shoe, especially compared to their Primal 2 Shoes, they are a stepping stone if you are coming from the world of regular "tennis shoes".
    A great read about minimalist footwear and running is Born to Run: amzn.to/39qk1Y4 If you are unfamiliar with the concept, give it a read.

    I love Lems. I’m on my second pair of nine2fives. The Primal 2 is a great shoe too. The boulder boots are absolutely awesome and I’ll be getting a pair when funds allow.

    What I really like about your channel is that you will review things that aren't always super gun specific. And do it in a concise easy to understand way. I feel like the industry is really lagging behind when it comes to small but important pieces of kit or accessories that really makes life easier. Going to the range with really cool guns is great but what about the rest? What about the clothing to keep you warm, etc while you run drills? It's often overlooked.
    For instance I finally broke down and bought a Maglula for loading double stack pistol mags. Easily the best money I've spent in a very long time for gun stuff.

      @@JacksonAlvey Hey, I still have them. I’ve used them a handful of times mainly to do stuff around the city & I don’t have any issues with them. They still look good as new. I haven’t used them for hiking just because I prefer boots or something more rugged. But as a casual everyday shoe, they seem pretty solid.

    I've yet to try Lems. I've had FiveFingers for about 10 years now, one pair is still going strong after 8 years, and I'm on Tevo's atm. The Tevo's are good but a little too soft in the sole. Like the look of the boulder boots!

      Just watch out! They are not very puncture resistant. Took them to Patagonia and found thorns in my feet multiple times

    • @KitBadger
      @KitBadger  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Are you talking about the Boulder Boots or Primal 2s Ben? I think the Trailhead would stop punctures. The other two, not so much. But I do like those first 2 better.

      @@KitBadger I try for minimalist as much as possible but can't afford winter minimalist 😁. I'd like to try Kuuva's. They look pretty damn good.

      @PullingRugs 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@KitBadger Boulder boot, I love them but that sole consumed so many pieces of pine and thorns that I had to put my green superfeet liners in to try to mitigate it. The boots are comfy though, I would recommend for daily use but avoid using as a backcountry primary

    • @PullingRugs
      @PullingRugs 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I might have to try the Primals, Lems has the best toe box outside of Altra running shoes IMO.
      I didn't get the V1 Primal because they narrowed the toe box and that was their winning characteristic.

    I’ve worn Vivo Barefoot, Xero and Lems Primal 2 and Lems 9to5 shoes almost daily for a few years now. I love minimalist footwear. Lems is my favorite, but the Trailhead 1 was a dud.
    I tried their Trailhead 1 shoe since I think the Primal 2 is a bit too thin for long hikes over rough terrain with a pack on, but they were way too thick and confining.
    The Trailhead 2 looks to be a bit of an improvement, but not quite there yet...regardless I’ll have to take a second look at these.
