Is it possible that there is a rock plate in the old version that would lend itself to the reduced flexibility? It sure looks that way from the way the old shoe flexes. the toe flexes and the main part of the sole does not.
Could you compare the insoles of the Trailhead V2 and Primal 2 to one another? It'd be nice to see the difference in toe box width. Thanks!! Feel free to send me a message!
Does this shoe soften/loosen up as it breaks in? I tried it, but found it pretty narrow and stiff - just overall not super comfortable, out of the box. Thanks.
Yes, I have v1. They were stiff and tight when I first got them and I have very slim feet. They have broken in nicely. I can even fold the shoe a little now.
I know this is way late....but for anyone wondering, get what you normally wear in my opinion. I am normally a 10.5 and got a 10 based on their sizing chart...no dice, it was too small. 10.5 is the right size.
Great review!
Just got mine today.
Excited to start wearing them.
Great vid. I just checked out several of your reviews and I am gonna get the Lems Mesa.
Amazing review. Thank you!
Which would be better for tennis. The trailhead or mesa?
Do you get the same size shoe you normally get from other companies or do you get a size bigger with those?
How would these be on a narrow, mens B width?
I very much appreciate your lems shoes reviews! Are they holding up well?

Version 1 has a rockplate

Have you tried the new Mesa line from Lems?
Do you recommend going true to size or going a half size up normally I'm a 10.5 . Do they run big?
Would like to know the answer to this
I’d like to know about either version. Lems like to play with sizing across their lines.
I went a half size up. Usually a women's 10 and I went with 10.5 on the Trailhead v1. Haven't tried v2.

Cut that intro down a bit.
