Visited here about 1970 as a little kid. There was a holiday camp with chalets just to the riight of the main drag there, remember the beach. The camp had a good atmosphere, they split the campers into two teams, Arsenal and Chelsea and they would compete during the week for points. Nice memories...
As someone living in the U.S., this was enjoyable to see. I've been to London and Brighton many times but never 'out in the country ' in England. Plus, I'm so used to seeing you in Florida, so this is interesting to see as well.
We remember that strip down to the sea. We stayed at a caravan resort when the kids were younger , its a nice little seaside town for a few hours. 2p slots we love , they have alot in Skegness we have a little flutter and got to have fish and chips. Totally agree its the memories ❤
My Aunt had a chalet on Harts Farm, the one next to the Rose & Crown. Spent many hours on that beach and the amusement arcades! Used to go with my Mum & Dad on a boat from Sheerness to Southend on Sea for tge day, right past the shipwreck of the World War Ii ship....they were happy days.
We used to have a caravan near there and have many a happy memories in leysdown. Always used to visit we called it the orange cafe as it was painted orange think it's purple now as seen in this vlog. It's not everyone's cup of tea but we used to love it and got some good bargains in the market. Thanks for sharing and bringing back some happy memories for me x
I am going to Leysdown on sea Tomorrow with the family for the weekend, I never been before so I’m looking forward to it staying in park holidays which I’ve stayed with before, but not at this site, obviously Thank you for your video. It’s really helped me and my family. Thanks Em

Memories of my child hood as south Bermondsey was our childhood home was Southend Margate all around kent etc and I loved them and still visit now to take a trip down memory lane . British caravan holidays still make me smile there brilliant, we live in Hemel Hempstead I’m a shop fitter and Margaret is a cook in an elderly day centre that’s massively important to the community . South London is so so important to me as it’s all my childhood memories and after losing my dad just over a year ago this video made me smile
@@steveandcarole don’t be honestly , he had dementia and then just went rapidly down hill and everything shut down . He is in a much much better place and if honest we were all relived because to see him destroyed over 2 years was horrific . We’re all good now and I look after my mum with sisters 👍life is good. We had Bermondsey boy written in flowers on top of the car . South London will always be my home
Hi Steve and Carol. I asked the question on your q and a thumbnail - " how long have you been together and how did you meet?". Me and my husband love your vlogs! We are both retired, i was a community dental nurse and my husband was a driving test examiner. We are both in our sixties and we live in Lytham st Annes- a seaside town on the north west coast. We love orlando too and have been several times so we can relate to the two of you. Keep doing your vlogs. Xx
I’m so happy to of found your channel love you both ❤ I’m a mum of 3 from London my hubby is a London black cabbie we love to get away and will be going to Florida soon can’t wait thanks to your vlogs! You’re so brave Carole for that star flyer ride blimey! Scared the life out of me 😅 what did you used to work as and when did you meet each other ? Also your children/grandchildren should be so proud of what your both doing your both great 👍🏼 keep it up ❤
Thank you for your lovely message. Have a wonderful time in Florida with your family. questions will be answered in our vlog coming up shortly. Appreciate you watching our vlogs . ❤️
I've not been to the Isle of Sheppy since 1980. My dad's friend had a caravan in Leysdown & they both used to use the CIU Working Man's Club in Minster. Do you ever go to Broadstairs? that has to be my favourite seaside town in Kent.
I never realised you both live in Kent! And I’m also about 20mins from Leysdown. I’ve been enjoying your vlogs for a few months now not realising that we might live near each other. Keep up the good work. Off to Orlando in August. 👍🏻
I really like the fun things in Leysdown on Sea. I watch 'Doc Martin' and kinda think maybe this could be similar? 😎 BTW... We live in Orlando. Currently recovering from an injury but I work from home doing medical billing, and my hubby is a PSM (professional surveyor mapper). 😀😙
Wishing you a speedy recovery from your injury. 😘 We live on the south coast. Doc Martin is filmed in Cornwall (approximately 6 hours drive) from us. It's a very picturesque and beautiful part of the country. Thank you for telling us a little about yourselves very much appreciated. xx.
My husband and I love your vlogs, we have just been to Orlando and tried some of the eating places on international drive they were great , Bev and Kev from Leicester
I used to go there as a girl with my family aunt & cousins. I won a cutlery tray on the price bingo for my bottom drawer & I still have it, behave been married 32 years ❤
Congratulations on your marriage of 32 years. Well don't on your cutlery tray. I had no luck on prise bingo but was fun to play. Thank you for messaging us. xx
I’m from arguably the best city in the world ! I’m scouse 🤔 any guesses ? I’m recently retired . We’ve been visiting Florida for over 30 years and love it . My question .. what are your occupations ?
Oooo lovely and Q&A. My questions are. When did you meet, was it love at first sight. And, how would you say how to keep a good marriage? ❤️❤️❤️.I didn't watch all the vlog before I commented, I'm still watching. I'm English, moved to Scotland over 20 years ago. For love, didn't work out. That's my story. I'm not a TH-camr. I enjoy yours, hence I asked the questions ❤❤❤
Bit late for asking a question but we only just watched this vlog, which was great, but still going to ask. Do you ever think wish i was not doing a vlog so you could go into places that have music or dont allow cameras. My wife and i live in kent and we love going away in our motorhome. Carry on the great vlogging
Although the camera goes with us most of the time, we just don't blog if we go into places with live bands or music playing. We are off to Benidorm soon and we will be going to some tribute acts, but won't be able to blog it, which is a shame. . Thank you for watching us. x
As a islander (swampy) norn and bed, I have always found Leysdown as ultra tacky. Made for holiday makers not islanders. Just y opinion but many fellow native islanders agree with me. Keep up the great vids!
My mum and dad bought a house in laysdown back in the 1970s . My aunty run the cat and fiddle pub in sheerness right next to the Dock. It's a place on its own. We used to get cockles from the beach. Haven't been there in years.
I did ask a question on a recent vlog and here it is again: if you could travel to anywhere in the world that you have never been to, where would it be? So abit about myself, I'm a 57 year old Leeds man living on the isle of Wight. Love to travel myself - been to the US, Australia, New Zealand and the Caribbean amongst other places.
