    • @MirandaDetailing
      @MirandaDetailing  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi. Yes that was the point, the customer was only concerned about the water spots and dried residue, they didn’t really notice the swirls at all. I only charged to remove the spots and improve the swirls by 50%+. This was not a paint correction, it was our paint enhancement service which is our most popular service.

      Yeah….everyone has their budget. I charge $900 for our paint corrections and $500 for our Paint Enhancements. It’s substantial to most people. Also I will talk people out of a paint correction most times because I know it will only get swirled again because they may not take care of it properly. As you may know paint corrections are not always advantageous.

I will coat it with Undrdog pro after but I'm wondering for maintenance after the coating what soap can I use on my foam cannon and bucket to dig that dirt and grime out without much touching with my wash mitts, I have used so many soaps on black paint that don't clean well or leave a weird look, many have told me CarPro Reset, id appreciate the suggestion! Great great video phil. This came out great. Can i ask please? How do you build/sell a package, for this customer situation witch you dont know prior how the paint will respond?
    And as a former mobile detailer how do you see your transaction on a shop based , specially and polishing and paint correction jobs?
    I am asking because i see many very very good mobile detailers that performing
    Polishing/paint correction services in couple of hours, but a shop needs.... several days to complete!! How is that possible? Is the level of...."perfection" that a shop based business provide vs mobile detailing on correction jobs?

    • @MirandaDetailing
      @MirandaDetailing  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi. Great question. So when this customer came in for an estimate I did a test spot and just hand polished one of the worst areas. That way I knew what to expect. I figured jobs like this will always need a little extra polishing anyway so I charge a little more than what I would normally charge for our paint enhancements.
      As far as mobile vs shop, shops handle many vehicles at a time so they will tell customers that their vehicle may take a few days, but in reality it can be done much quicker, it’s just they take their time because they have many other vehicles in the shop also.
      For mobile or smaller guys like us we focus on one vehicle at a time and get it done much quicker. It doesn’t necessarily mean they are doing a better job or getting it perfect, because end results are based on each service and what the customer is expecting and most importantly what they are paying. I hope that helps. 😎👍🏼

    Um.....Carpro Descale is ok, kinda. My limited experience with it is only fresh water spots and light mineral deposits. It's just ok.
    I use Gyeon Quick View almost all the time now. Quick and easy.
    This video is one of the reasons I dislike black paint. Shows just everything. I thought the Camaro turned of fantastic! Great job folks. Hi wife!

    Hey I was watching this video and I have been detailing cars in the sun and I wash the cars but I've put soap on the car and as fast as I do one side the soap dry up before I rinse what should I do?

      Hi. Usually washing one side at a time helps. Or you can use DI water to wash, it doesn’t leave any water spots.

      Hi. I don't remember. I usually just grab the first polish i find in the cabinet to test it. it doesn't really matter to much. It was just to see if the water spots could be removed with a light hand polish.

    Not a fan of professionals that say "well, we will try many different things" then charge the customer for all of the product and experiments they tried. Hope you did NOT charge this customer for the experiments you performed.

    • @MirandaDetailing
      @MirandaDetailing  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi. Not sure exactly what you mean by that. That's not how a detailing business actaully charges for their services.
      our trying different methods to achieve the results we get are all part of the service we provide. For jobs like this we look at he vehicle first, do a test spot, then give suggestions and prices to the custoemr. once we settle on what they want and the price, thats it. The process we go through is all part of the service. Sometimes we win sometimes we loose...what I mean by that is some jobs are easier than others even though we may have first thought it would be a tough one... other jobs may end up being more challenging and take more time than expected. either way the price we discussed stays the same. Thats How a true professional Detailer should do his job. It would be inappropriate to simply charge the customer more without first discussing what other issues or problems we may run into. We also don't charge for products used, all of that is built into the price fro the beginning. Sometimes we use less product, sometime more....either way doesn't matter, price does not go up, but neither does it go down. True detailers running a proper business will know that.
      Have you seen or experienced detailers doing what you suggested in your comment?

I don’t have a physical copy of the form so what do you do if they are standing in front of you and want to book I try to tell them I’ll send it to them to book and they want to do it in person have you dealt with this ? Also how long do they have until you schedule another customer on the day they wanted if they don’t get back to you right away with the form and someone else calls and wants that day? Do you have walk ins
