What about GO? JLC of Germany and Pano Lunar/Reserve are some of the best watches under $10k. They don’t seem to get much love either, just like Zenith and UN.
Guy's one of the best videos you guys have done for a while - though my assessment is probably biased because I'd agree with pretty much everything you've said. I dont disagree on the watches you chose however, I think its a bit simplistic to say its all in the marketing. I think there are issues of market capitalisation (CS) , watch group dynamics (BM), historic uncertaintly over identity (GP). I also think you left out the one brand I think is criminally overlooked buy actually people buying watches - JLC.
I’ve got a Cuervo Y Sobrinos GMT and I absolutely love it ! It came in a supremely cool box (humidor/Anti humidifier type of cigar box with gauges etc) I agree 100% that their marketing is bad. Recently Came across them and found them interesting.
I'm very new to watches. My knowledge is pretty much non existant. That being said, I'm very close to buying a Tissot Visodate with the blue face ran on a Milanese strap. I like the aesthetic & the craftsmenship seems high enough for what I'm after. Can anyone here suggest a better alternative? The Jazzmaster & Sarb033 seem the closest matches, but I prefer the Tissot. Thanks to anyone who replies :)
My advice, don't buy anything for a few months. I've been following the hobby for a few years now and I only just managed to figure out what I like (It would change literally every month). Wait for a couple weeks. If you still want it then go for it. I just don't want you to get buyers remorse as it would be a difficult watch to sell. Also if you want to learn more, this is a great channel. The videos are short, sweet and uncomplicated. Fed really gives out good information. I feel like I should also tell you that watch collecting is mad. If you told me I would lust after any watch above 10k I would think you were crazy. So beware :)

The sarb was my initial preference, but the blue dial on mesh & helping out the European watch industry swang it for me. I'm in Macau and at 4 ADs I've seen about 15 oyster 39mm So I'd say no. It's not going to hold value. If you want one, you can buy one near new, full set for $4.2k fairly easily.
What are your thoughts on benziger subscription blue model with ETA 6425 movement. Beautiful watch not sure on the guts. And some listings say Unitas movement not ETA. Or is there a difference. Can’t find descriptions on watch movement data bases.

Girard Perregaux, Zenith, Breitling and Baume & Mercier are good watch company that makes good watches but unfortunately they are overshadow by the great Swiss watch company like Rolex, Audemars Piguet and Patek Philippe. The overlook Swiss watch companies need to find better marketing plan and design. Zenith new skeleton Defy design are very attractive.
Great video and on point with most brands you listed as great value though unloved. Out of these, I liked Cuervo y sobrinos and I own an Old Navitimer. The example you showed is a fine watch using colours and textures out of the norm and agree with all you comments on the Cuban brand. The Prominente has been on my list for a rectangle style watch to sport with a suit. Love the style. Hope they get their marketing right after they study their market share thoroughly. Looks like a classic friend of a friend of the family hiring situation.... in the marketing team. Gotta say. Let me know if I'm close. Thanks
Unfortunately in the luxury market if you sell your products in the wrong places without the other requirements of luxury and quality you will lower the public perception of your products and the value

I recently purchased a Cuervos y Sobrinos Esplendidos Dual Time. Was really impressed with the case and movement decoration.

My god, that Cuervo and the Ulysse Nardin. Nardin makes so many high end artistic pieces, some a little risqué, and they are so freaking awesome!
I agree on Baume Mercier. I think they have some very sharp and well made watches for the price..

I got a Parmigiani Kalpa XL watch for a steal under 3.5 K (New). Excellent watch with an in-house movement. Its under the radar in my opinion

Capvt Gerat Lvpinvm is prefer the sarb myself but for someone just starting out I’d say the Tissot would be just fine!

Excellent recommendations Fed & John. B&M is a brand I always liked but never pulled the trigger as nobody ever talked about them?
I have two B&M watches and I can only recommend them! Amazing quality. Maybe they don't sell well in the States, but in Belgium you see them around.
For example if you compare them to Breitling, it's the same quality for half the price.
