- This is my interpretation of a bass ned rig, it’s a modern bass fly that mimics one of the most productive bass lures out there! If you want to catch more fish on your next outing this is a great fly to try out. It can also be tied in different sizes for panfish and even trout. This one was inspired by @kanalgratisdotse , be sure to check out their pattern as well.

As a small creek smallie hunter... I can definitely tell this would be a killer fly. I've got to give this pattern a shot.
Its a good one, but add more weight to the head. This is how I'm fishing this one now and the action is much better
Absolutely gorgeous tie mate. I'll have to get the materials for the fly soon, because although bass don't live in my home waters, pickerel sure do.

Awesome pattern. I do something very similar with some buggy yarn and polar chenille. I keep the tail under 4 inches and it absolutely SLAYS smallmouth in my local river.

glad you liked it, I fished these quite a bit this season. Worked best when the head was heavily weighed. Id suggest adding wire wraps as well with a tungsten eye
