Great breakdown of your setup Philip - thanks for sharing! I have the same backpack (also think it's amazing)... and just ordered the Helion :) Flying on the west coast of British Columbia and looking forward to emulating some of the epic flights you and Babang have posted.
Why do you get the ‘telemetry lost, telemetry recovered’ voice speaking during flights? I get it occasionally when flying Bob57 & TBS Tango 2. I’ve not yet lost control or video but the voice is unnerving. I’m pretty new to fpv but loving it. Just waiting for eves to improve now and I’ll hopefully be out flying loads.
Super helpful to see having such a similar climate/geography here in Alaska. So tempted to go all out and purchase a Helion after watching your videos!
Was going to ask how much of a difference do you think the aftermarket axi antennas make on the goggles 2 but you kinda answered it in this video lol. I've been flying the bob57 with goggles two but havent pushed long range too much yet, watching your vids defo make me want to do it !!
This was really interesting thank you. I only have a DJI MP4 but I’ve been thinking about FPV and the level of commitment. I’m curious, do you not fly in your car because of signal reception?
Hi Philip, how does your specifik type drone license work? Do you need to seek a permit per flight when using this category? Currently I only fly in open. But if I can fly without observer with FPV googles without breaking any rules, I wanna know how :)
Hi Philip and thank you very much for this video, I have the bob57 and I am very happy with it, the 1550 mAh batteries last too little and the large 3300mAh is heavy and unbalances the drone on the dives. I think the 2800mAh will be perfect since you mostly use those as I understand it. I'm considering purchasing the Helion 10, I would like to know where I can get your GoPro mount, could you give me a link or info? Thank you in advance
Thanks for watching! The 2800 is a perfect balance between heavy and light and i am very happy with them! An 3d-half print like this is going to be avalable soon on iflight :)
I enjoy watching your long range videos nice work 😊 I’m guessing a lot of people including myself would be interested to see you long range BOB57. I see the Gens 2800 is quite a light battery considering it’s size and only 410g according to the website. Out of curiosity how much flight time are you getting using that size lipo with BOB, and at roughly what cruising speed? Keep up the great content ✈️👌🏻
That Helion have a really good flight time but it's almost impossible to fly without little vibration in the footage. (It's just my opinion) Nice video anyway
@@Philip_Halvorsen Yes i got one and I have the same vibrations as you have on the video (4.09 for exemple). I also live in the mountains with very cold and winds conditions
@@sender5437 have you flown other long range quads that has less vibration in these conditions? 25-30 meters per second wind gusts are brutal and can make any setup struggle
Many thanks for the video. May I have a question? I see that you have a Gopro connected to BoB57 using the stock mount. How do you rate the recorded image? Do you have any vibrations in the Gopro footage ? I asked several people and, like me, they complain about micro vibrations in the Gopro image, which makes the image slightly blurry like in your film from Helion at 7:02 th-cam.com/video/tO26BrzmdNs/w-d-xo.htmlsi=xJZTLOavS8ENNU2P&t=422. I see that you already have a stiff handle for Helion... It doesnt work ?
completely not drone related. Save yourself the headache of having to plug in those rode mics and get the DJI Mic 2 now that it's out. The direct connection will spoil you.
Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooo you did the lil' guy dirty.
Hahaha yea 5 inch is not my favorite for Long range

Thanks man! Looking forward to see your epic footage from British Columbia🤩
its crazy i have almost exact same setup on other side of the world in alaska! haha. BOB, Chimera and Helion
Hey great video thank you for the knowledge, is there a reason to still chose cross fire over ELRS?
Thanks for sharing, as someone who's thinking of getting into this as hobby knowing what to buy is a must🙂
Thanks for watching! this hobby is too much fun!
@@Philip_Halvorsen Yeah, it's amazing, I can only imagine how it feels to fly over a mountain and dive 😁, that Helion's amazing.
nice SETUP Philip! Just wondering why LIPO and not LI-ION? Isnt Li-ion better for long range?

I think the Helion would be perfect for Alaska😍 nature is so incredible there!
@@Philip_Halvorsen I think so too, huge fan of your videos!

8 km is nice result
Awsome stuff, wish we could get that Hellion frame on its own.
Thanks! Maybe they will release it one day!
Nice! Love seeing the behind the scenes here. Super interesting you only fly 10 & 6” now. Before Helion did you fly 7” more?
drone in the bin xD. love it. So psyched to get into this. More videos like this!
Hahah thanks!🫶 looking forward to fly FPV together!
Finnes det noen sjanse for en video om Bob57? finnes jo så lite om den på TH-cam!
defiantly my Sunday beer film
It is a must to be drunk to make it a good watch🥰
thanks a lot for you videos and advices :) this is truly instructive
Glad you think so!
These videos are awesome! Keep em coming!

nice you have more relaxed sessions !! some jucy freestyle with 5inch will also be good at your spot!!
True! But need to fix my 5 inch so it can work and fly again 😅

this is sick (the dream)
What GoPro Mount are you using? It looks like it has a fixed angle?
Any feedback with the 2800 on the bob ?
Great video! Do you use the Osmo Pocket also for your POV shots?
Thanks! i use it for almost everything yes :)
do you have a link for this Backpack?

Appreciate that! I can show that in a video for shure :) i get around 9-11 minutes flight time with 2800, at around 70km/h cruise speed
Very compact, top 👍
What gloves do you have?
WHAT SETTING DO YOU HAVE FOR YOUR CROSSFIRE MODULE AND RX FOR LONG-RANGE?

Man you are cool
What if you were to put an insta360 camera on your drone?
That is something i would like to experiment with for shure!
@Philip_Halvorsen
Awesome I think you sold me on this drone I'll definitely be exploring the idea of a 360 camera also.
I have only 2 drones - Helion and 3.5 inch both by Iflight, you don't need anything else for cinematic...

Will have to order that! Thanks for the tip!
Knallbra video Philip! Er nok på tide at jeg også lærer meg å fly FPV-drone 😛
Tusen takk! Du kommer til å elske det!
Wanna make business on that unused Hero11Mini ? 😁 We can Exchange something from BR 😎
Maybe yes! 😄 what is BR?
the jittering was kinda scary
It was scary how much more windy and turbulent it was in top of those peaks!
Du er ikke litt nervøs for våre regelryttere i norge som ikke liker blos flyging da?
