What would be safe setting for gen1 motor, with updated xt60 connectors and some heat shrink on motor cables? The Quick SHFW guide recommends 25A DPC, Speed 20km/h, Initial 0A and 600mA for officiant, 1200mA for regular and 2000mA for fast (all with field weakening). Can it be set to go like 33-35km/h without burning anything? I don't even want to go faster than that, but it's a bit annoying when it's slowing up going down hill.

I guess I just have to start testing meanwhile and get my hands on it to make sure the temperature doesn't rise up too much. It already had molten connectors and the coating on that blue wire was weak. I got mine used, so I have no clue was this caused by hacking or just by the regular settings...
those connectors burn up on ninebot max scooters without any firmware mods, I've come across a shit ton of stock scooters with cooked controllers and connectors. use gold plated bullet connectors rated for atleast 100a of continuous current or more.
Never saw a Stock Scooter with burnt up connectors. Are you from USA? Could be a US version problem because in Europe they are limited to 25km/h or 20km/h. The US version has the most Power. I like to solder them together directly.
I dont think so. The G2 has a different controller design. If you want to increase the speed, do not update the scooter and wait. In my opinion the G30 Max + Sharkset is a much better option then G2.
Do you have the G2 global version? If not you can buy a replqcement controller and change the serial number to US version (xiaodash). With the US serial nr you can set it to 35km/h in the ninebot app.

Can you provide instructions on converting the plugs? Is it easy or do you have to solder it?
Just watch a how to solder video. Its easy when you have a good (hot) soldering iron, good solder wire and a bit of extra flux can also help.

I did 4 amps and 800mh field weakening on my ninebot es1. I begun to smell burned.
