What glue do you use? I bought Flitter Glue (after i n t e r m i n a b l e searching!!) on the advice of a Y.T.'r, but am disgusted with how long it's taking to DRY!!! I also bought the "Best Glue Ever", but to date haven't opened that one.

I have used Aleene's tacky glue on several cards and all the cards warped and buckled to the point I couldn't use them. I had it on hand so I used it, but no more. Not for card making anyway. Thank you for your review. You confirmed what I was thinking.

Great video. Love it when video's get to the point. So great you covered 'buckling' which is the main issue I have & have wasted so much money on getting one that works for cardstock. The best I've found so far here in Australia is Tombow Mono Multi Liquid Glue but not the cheapest but will now try the Beacon 3 in 1 & the Art Glitter Glue which I can get here. Thanks again.

I have been using AGG for about 15 years and I love it! If you are anywhere close to Cottonwood Arizona you have to stop into their show room! It’s just amazing! Sometimes on Saturdays they sometimes have make takes. Don’t be surprised if you have some glitter on you when you leave there!

Thanks for the video! I use the Bearly Arts glue for the teeny tiny precision pieces and double sided tape for adhering larger pieces of card stock together. Avoids the warping and saves the spendy Bearly Arts glue for when I really need precision.

When I use glue for my projects and use the tacky glue, I usually squeeze some out on a piece of card stock that I would be throwing out or on my craft mat. I then just apply it with a thin paintbrush to the project.

Thanks very much for this video. I agree that the Bearly Art glue is watery and was pretty disappointed when I tried it. You could see the ridge left by the glue until it dried completely. Wish I'd tried Art Glitter glue first. Right now I'm liking NUVO Deluxe Adhesive, but I believe it's more expensive than some of the others. It does have a fine pointed tip so it works for small embellishments or the backs of die cut words.

I'd like to suggest that you compare pricing as well, and yes, I know prices change with time, but usually they will stay within a ratio of the most expensive to least expensive so you can see how much glue for your buck you get - Crafting supplies are expensive and all those pennies add up. I'd be curious how dollar store glues compare.

The last I looked (early 2022?) my $-tree carried the Beacon's, Aleen's Tacky, and Elmer's; obviously in small bottles, but if you don't use glue regularly, maybe that's a good thing? That way less of the product can go bad. Oh, they also had / have an 8 oz. bottle of E6000 Adhesive Spray ("Low Odor, Interior / Exterior, Easy Clean-Up, Multi-Surface, ... Scrapbooking & Framing, ... ). CAVEAT!!! C L E A R the NOZZLE A N D TUBE after each use!!! (BTW ... to keep AERASOL CANS from plugging up, up-end the can and spray until the discharge BLOWS C L E A R!! Obviously, you don't want to be doing BUNCHES of bitty projects and clearing the nozzle this way, or you'll run out of air in the can, but NOT doing this, plugs up the inside tube and nozzle.
      Enjoy, Crafters, and be well!

I thin Aileen’s with water, in one of those little squeeze bottles with the metal tips. Maybe 1 part water to 3 parts glue, I don’t know. I don’t measure, I just add glue to the water, in that little bottle , shake, squirt it out to observe the viscosity, add or decrease glue. Not rocket science but i am trying to find the non-buckling formula! I wish I could order the glitter glue into Canada without pledging my firstborn. Not kidding.

I don't have experience with all the glues but I do think you used way too much of the bearly art glue which might have lead to your warping. I don't have a problem with warping and I use the precision tip with just a quick outline then a little squiggle on the cardstock. I just finished an album which had me glue lots of layers, a full page of decorative cardstock, a tab of cardstock that folds over the main page, wth the hinged part behind the main cardstock (attached before attaching the main page to the album), several cardstock embellishments on the card, a piece of watercolor paper, chipboard embellishments, heavy printed paper embellishments, fabric lace, vellum printed embellishments on each page. 14 pages later, nothing is warped and all is holding well. I pulled at the items, no problems with adhesion.

Thank you for your thoughtful comments on the various glue products. I primarily use Tombow for larger areas and Bearly Art Precision glue for delicate, thin areas. I want to replace the Bearly Art because it is so thin, almost watery. I tried Connect from GinaK and did not care for it, even though it came highly recommended. Not only is it expensive, but the tube clogs very quickly. Years ago, I used the Art Glitter Glue, and I will go back to that brand now.

Hi, I have been using a solvent based glue recently as I have had a lot of warping with water based glues. However, although it often works brilliantly for layering, at other times the solvent based glue seeps through and leaves a horrible 'greasy' looking smudge. I have tried to use less glue but it still happens. Is it me? or the card or paper? Any hints would be appreciated

I have a very old bottle, the largest available. The glue was very hard to get out. So I added some water, and rotated the bottle a lot. It helped, but your idea to rebottle: going to try that! Great idea. And perhaps I will put it in a fine tipped bottle and add enough water so it acts like the Glitter glue and/or the Bear glue.

Thank you for this video. I am originally from The Netherlands, we moved here almost 10 year ago. I used solvent based glue in The Netherlands the most. It is very easy to get there, many different brands and extremely affordable. (I use (this) glue because there is some time to wriggle cardstock in the exact place.) So when I needed glue it was very hard to find the glue I wanted. All I found is water based, which I don’t like because of the warping of the cardstock. About a year ago I finally found the beacon glue at the Dollar Tree, it specifies for foam board, but it is solvent based. Then for months is was not available until last week. The new glue is in bigger bottles, but unfortunately they changed the formula and is now water based. Result: warped cardstock. I will go and try the 3 in 1 from Beacon, hopefully that one is still solvent based.
I also use Aleene’s glue, although it is difficult to get out the bottle. There is an Aleene’s glue that stays tacky, that is perfect to make your own glue dots, or to make your own enamel dots sticky.
The other two types you showed are way overpriced in my opinion. I wonder if I water down my Aleene’s and put it in a fine tipped bottle if I get the same results…
Again, thank you for this comparison👍👍

I totally agree with you, it is not just the glue, other craft items (especially for card makers so it seems) are ridiculously overpriced! Luckily there are alternatives, and often the same articles, from companies not specifically for card making.

I like 3 in 1 BUT, it is horrible for foil on foil card stock. Any recommendations for foil against foil card stock crafts. 🥲
