This was a great comparison video. One feature I would have liked to have seen tested, though, was how much the various adhesives wrinkled paper. Thanks for doing this!
Art Glitter Glue lover!! I used Tombow for the first time this weekend at Pinners CA and found the bottle difficult to squeeze the glue out of. Thanks for this glue review Mary! 😘✨👍🏾
I really was impressed with the art glitter glue and can't wait to use it on upcoming projects. I like the tombow too; but yes as it gets low, it is hard to come out!
I think I noticed that MayMay keeps some kind of glue stored upside down in a container. Makes sense, as that way the glue is ready to come out when needed and also has less chance to suck air up into the bottle, possibly drying out the contents. Guess it would have to be at least somewhat viscous, though, so it didn't ooze out immediately upon opening and baptize your project before you were ready to apply it. @@marypolancodesigns
My go to paper glue is Art Glitter Glue but I do use Tacky Glue for other projects. Art Glitter glue has never failed me in any of my crafting needs. Thank you so much for your time to sort through the sticky situations of all the glues out there.
Suzanne Anuzzi this is my first time watching you on youtube, but it will certainly won't be my last. I love knowledge, especially about craft items. I have been a crafter for 50 years and am still learning new things everyday, especially on youtube. I have already subscribed to your channel and am on my way to view more of your videos. Thank you, you provide a wonderful service.
Oh Suzanne, that is just the sweetest comment; thank you for that! it is truly my pleasure and I love the community we all built together, sharing information. I am so glad to know you are hangin with me now on TH-cam so we can craft together! YAY! Are you solely a cardmaker, or more?
I do all kinds of crafting; ceramics, Painting on canvas, diamond dots, sewing and I also enjoy carpentry and built a lot of home furnishings including my kitchen Island and a fireplace. Not bad for 60.
I really enjoyed this video. So very helpful for crafters. Several issues I find with glue that you could test for are 1. If it warps the cardstock. 2. If it warps thiner pretty papers 3. If it warps the vellum. 4. The easiest way to figure cost is to take the price ÷ the number of ounces. Then you can use per 1 oz price on your list. 5. The glue that dried clear with white spots wasn't completely dry yet.
Hi Mary, I work for Amazon and I really have to say Ranger multi matte medium and the collage matte medium are the to top sellers I send through so many times daily, as a crafter mmm and glossy accents, top notch!
Tammi, thank you so much for this; great to know! I do LOVE the MMM for strong hold, but I can only use it from it's original bottle, can seem to get a precision tip to work on it. Any tips?
I have used several of the glues you listed but like Art Glitter Glue the best out of all that I have tried. Thanks for taking the time to do this review.
Nuvo, Tombow, and Art Glitter glue with the fine tip added......are my favorite glues. They perform so well. Once you glue on something with these glues they are are for life!!👍🏻 Thanks for your review of all of these glues. Well done!!❤️
I really appreciated your reviews of all the different glues. It will save me from picking a glue that'll end up failing. I've used Aileen's Tacky Glue for decades and will probably stick with it after watching your video. Thank you!
For the Art Glitter Glue...to attach the fine tip, all you do is put the fine tip on top of the normal black tip and screw down. It will make grooves on the black tip and hold on to it. You don't have to remove that tip even if you get a new bottle. Just take the entire section (black tip and fine tip) off the old one and put it on the new glue bottle. Also, make sure you use the pin that comes with it or a pin that is stainless steel. If not, it will get rusty inside the glue. You really don't want that. Hope that helps.
I absolutely loathe the fine tip. I put it on and it fell off. I go find youtube and follow instruction to twist and it falls off. Put Art Glitter glue in closet and throw tip away. I saw lots of reviews about the glue. I wish it worked. I hate to waste money.
I was in search of a good glue because they always end up clogged and its so frustrating. I finally gave in and got the Art Glitter glue and I am so glad I did. My search is over! 😅 Art Glitter glue is ❤️❤️❤️! Thanks for this great review Mary!
Ahhh! You must have read my mind!!! I’ve watched an embarrassing number of glue videos over the past two weeks to try and narrow down my choices. Thank you so much for making this-it’s been phenomenally helpful!! 😁
Thank you, Mary. This has been a much needed video for me. There are so many glues out there in such a range of prices and I've been wondering if the more expensive glues are truly worth the price. You have certainly answered that question!
Thank you Mary. There are so many choices, for glue. I have to say that I usually wait for online companies to have % off sales or use a coupon. I do like using the Tombow glue but might look into the Art Glitter glue that others seem to like. This was very informative.
I'm so glad this was useful for you, Denise! THe Art glitter glue seems to be the most popular. It is the most expensive but you get a good amount. I really like it too!
Denise, I love the Art Glitter Glue, just keep in mind when ordering it, the outside temperature needs to be above 40 degrees, ( from where it is shipped, and also where you live) or your glue will arrive as a solid! I know because it happened to me. I learned the hard way :-(
Great video. Thought Tombow was the no.1-but the tacky glue size is more appealing just because of the size and you are not tossing umpteen small bottles/tubes away. Very helpful. Thankyou.
Great job Mary. Im a new subbie and I really enjoy your honesty in your reviews. I like the fact that your show how you review and compare. Also, you are very funny...
Aww, Janet, you just made my night; thank you for that! YAY! So glad you are finding them helpful (and entertaining). I like to have fun. But I really like an honest review because I feel like there are so many places that you can get a sponsored review. I do both but am clear about which is which. :) Thanks again for your sweet words!
I used Multi Matt Medium for a couple of years, but I got tired of the tip clogging. I had been watching MayMay's channel and I thought the Art Glitter Glue was pricier than I wanted to go. Then when she was selling it to raise money for a diabetes charity and the son of one of their employees who has diabetes, I wanted to help. I bought a. bottle for me and one for a friend. It is one of the smaller ones, so now I just get the big bottles to refill t. It really doesn't take much at all to make things stick, so the Art Glitter Glue lasts forever! I have been using it for two years and I haven't bought anything else since! I guess you figured out how to put the tip on 👩🎨 I am looking forward to seeing the next part 🤩
Thank you so much for sharing this! I seriously love that glue now; such a fan. The way it goes on my paper makes me so happy...I'm a simple gal! lol Part II is on the channel if you want to check it out!
Fantastic review Mary! Like u mention there are a couple of flies that may suite our needs. I am a stroke survivor so I have hand issues having said that one may assume the small bottles are easier for persons like myself. It is normally quit the opposite. In our stroke therapy group we too have tried several adhesive products that work for us. Mainly the bigger bottles that are soft To squeeze win out and despite the price Aleena’s has always been a solid go to brand! I have personally tried others and I still like Alene’s and a couple other go to’ for different reasons. Thank u Mary!!
Thank you so much for sharing this with us. I had to send back the Lawn Fawn bottles because 2 out of 3 of them were bad and didn't dispense glue. Amazon refunded me and Lawn Fawn was willing to send me more although I declined. The ease of squeeze SHOULD be an important attribute; who wants to fight with their glue bottle!
Oh I'm SO happy this helped; I was hoping our new card makers would see it because it can be SO overwhelming and the 0.5 oz bottles are just way too expensive for how much you are getting.
@@carolpope1145 i love the art glitter glue and i like the precision tip and i like the glue itself for most projects but i find when i am making cards i need a glue with a little give in the beginning because to me it dries super quick and do not have time to adjusts the two pieces glue and if you dont put them together precisely then you can not try and move it because it is already dry...
Thanks for your video! It took you a lot of time and cost of your glues to do this comparison. I am an Art Glitter glue user most of the time....for super fine lines I use Lineco Ph Neutral glue that I buy from Amazon. It is currently $8.19 for 8oz and I use it in micro tip bottles....I purchased this over 2 yrs ago and still have over half the bottle left...it is an amazing glue! I also like Nuvo glue and that comes out super nice straight from the bottle it comes in. Tombow multi I use for the tackiness on the back of red rubber stamps to stick better to clear blocks (of course let it dry completely before putting it on a block). Thanks again for your time
Cheri, I'm going to check out your recommended glue, thank you! I use my tombow for that as well. I unmounted my wood blocks and that's how I get them to stick to the stamp positioner. Thanks so much for sharing this!
Mary Polanco I have been converting my wood block stamps too. As much as I do love the wood blocks I find they take up way too much space....that and with the new tools (MISTI and Stamparatus) the stamps need to be cling. Now I am on the hunt for an economical case to switch stamp sets to after removing from the blocks...lol
thanks so much for the video! my go to for years has been the green tombow...but have been very curious about some of the others! The surprise for me was the Dollar Store one!
Hey Cheryl! I have been a long time Tombow Green one for so long; only switched to Nuvo when they were so cheap (under $3 a bottle) but since they raised the price I am going to be using some from this video.
Super INFORMATIVE, I'm pretty new to card making and often wondered what the differences in the glues really are ...now I KNOW !! Definitely keeping this video for reference - thanks Mary !!!
Love my tombo and art glitter glue. The art glitter can't ship in winter so I buy extra and keep tombo on my table. Thank you for sharing the different glues and the info.
Thank you for doing all this hard work for us. I’d been wondering about trying some different glues and now you’ve done it for me. Now I’m off to watch Part 2. Thanks again!
Thanks for doing this glue review. I love side-by-side product comparisons. It was honestly surprising to see how well most of them did on the holding phase. A couple of years ago I did a paper-to-paper comparison (for my own purposes) of the glues that I had in my stash. I used the same papers for each test. The results were surprising. Some glues dried smooth, some lumpy, some did not hold (glue stick), and some of them made the paper warp. Thanks for all of the information on your testing. It was very helpful!
Terri, thank you so much for this. I am going to do a follow up video using cardstock to see how they hold up; that will be really good to know right? for cardmakers, that is kind of key, my fault! Lol
This is an awesome comparison. It was very interesting to see which glues dried matte and which ones didn’t even advertise that feature. Thank you so much for all of your hard work. 😊
Great video, Mary, thank you for doing this! I've been wanting a comparison video - there are so many new glues and it gets overwhelming after a while! My two go-to's are Art Glitter Glue and Tombo Mono Multi. I picked up the Nuvo glue but haven't tried it yet. If I had to choose one favourite, it is the Art Glitter Glue - it has never failed me and it even works when adhering something to glitter paper. I'm really enjoying your channel!
This was so helpful thank you so much! I am so glad that it was helpful. I totally agree on the overwhelming aspect with all the new glues. I really am impressed with the art glitter glue I can't wait to use it more. The Nuvo is good; I use it all the time.
Thanks for a great comparison ...I agree with a lot of the comments on Art Glitter Glue...love it..and I always have Tombo in my stash...I think I have tried most of them over the years.
So glad you did this glue comparison, I’ve often wondered about the Elmer products as they’re everywhere. I use Aleenes since I like it’s bonding ability. I would like to get some Nuvo, with a precise soon tip.
Very informative....... Thank you A number of the glues I use clog so I have to clean the tip out after each use and I put a piece of plastic wrap at the bottle opening before I screw lid on.
Vaye, great tip thank you for that! I forgot to mention more about clogging in the video. My Nuvo doesn't clog but it does get gluey at the tip all the time.
Hi Vaye, I slam down my glue bottles every time when I put them away or even if I'm done using them for the moment. It's my way of keeping the tips clear of glue, and so far (cross my fingers!), no clogs :)
Okay I truly love how you explained, that the glue can change prices. That a person should look for the best prices. I'm a bargain hunter. Many people don't realize, it is our way of speaking out gently/respectfully to do so. We are the consumer/Customer. This is what we are looking for. 😊
I water down y Aleene's tacky glue for certain applications and it still sticks very well. You can also use the Tombow to make glue dots. Thank you for your thorough video.
Yes, you can make your own homemade glue dots with the Tombow M. M. Or, you can use Aleene's Tack It Over and Over glue or The Best Glue Ever to make homemade glue dots. So easy and super cheap plus you can customize the sizes to match your projects. Thanks so much for this comparison video.
Thanks for all the research. I had to wait until I had the time to watch the full video, and I’m glad I did. There are so many choices, and I am happy to know (once again) that the higher price doesn’t always mean the best product!
Thank you for sharing this. Very informative information. My fav is the art glitter glue because of the precision tip and fast drying. It also makes your papers stiffer for sturdier projects especially when layering. A little goes a long way. I do many of the different glues so thanks again for doing this comparison. Have a wonderful day.😊
Yay!!!! My 2 favs made the list. Now you know why I use glue all and Aleenes: 1. I'm cheap and 2. They work. The other Elmer's don't stand the test of time. Aleenes is a great PVA bookbinding glue as well.
I've used just about every one of these glues. I kept going back to Art Glitter Glue. I miscalculated as well as forgot to reorder it and decided to try Bearly Art Glue. When I finish the last of Art Glitter, Bearly will step in and will let you know if I like it or not! TYFS!! 💖💖💖🌹🤓
I'm so glad this was helpful. I will be using the Aleene's in upcoming videos because I really want to see how it hold up more ways. I loved the Art Glitter Glue too.
I have only used a few and have had great luck so far on any of them. I agree with prices and bonding power. I mean that's the whole purpose for the most part so. You have helped s great deal though with what to buy and for its purpose and price. I love your humor. Thanks for taking the time to share.
Thanks for doing this video I have been wondering about the different glues so you answered some of my questions . So thank you for that . The only one I didn't see that I have been wondering about is Fabritack. Well that is what they call it . Not sure why I see so many people use it for everything. Thank you again very informative .
Oh man! What a great, informative video! Loved every minute of this review. Will be hanging on to all this info. Gonna have to get me some of that Art Glitter Glue.
You are most welcome, Linda! It is my pleasure. Yes I agree, you don't want to even pay the cheapest price if it's not going to hold. Thanks for the comment!
I am another Art Glitter Glue lover. The metal tip that I use with it makes it one of the, if not the, MOST precise glue I have ever used...and I have used all of the above and more. As a result of using the metal tip you only use small amounts and it goes a VERY long way which makes it economical.
Sophia...I'm a converter...Art Glitter Glue all the way! I am posting a video soon about the follow up and how they do on paper! WOW...it's awesome in so many ways!
Suggest you get that little metal tip. Also, there is a lady on Etsy that has created this cool pin with beads for the metal tip to keep it closed and to prevent clogging. It is an awesome glue and these two tricks make it even better. Let me know if you want the links to the tip and to the Etsy store for the pin. @@marypolancodesigns
@@marypolancodesigns Combined they are just over $10 but well worth it. 1) URL for metal tip: www.amazon.com/dp/B004ITCU3O/ref=twister_B075CF9H2H?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 2) I replace the pin that comes with the tip because it gets lost on my desk :-) I use a "stopper topper" which can be found at URL for the Etsy store....has lots of cute options: www.etsy.com/shop/MadeItSparkle?ref=simple-shop-header-name&listing_id=688749999
Great review! As crafters and TH-cam watchers, we all want the latest product out there. But when it comes down to it, sometimes simple and inexpensive can be the best! I have invested so much money into adhesives, but after watching this I think I may have to go back to Tacky Glue. Thank you for taking the time to put this video out there for all of us crafters! I do love my Art Glitter Glue also!
I have recently purchased the syringes from Koren and am very pleased. For some reason I am "fine tip challenged". I have tried several tips with no luck. Thanks for doing this comparison.
Thank you so much, Lonya! I'm so glad it was helpful and I too, have been fine-tip challenged in the past. lol I'm so glad the syringes are working out for you!
I never liked fine tipped applicators either until I tried the Imagine On Point Glue. It’s my favorite for applying jewels, sequins, etc. because I can get such a small amount! This is such a fantastic video!!! Thank you for sharing!!! 💜
Very interesting glue test! Art Glitter glue is the one I use. But I also have Aleene's on hand....glad to see all of your results! Thanks so much for sharing! 😍~Suzy ~
Suzy, thanks so much! This was so fun and interesting to do. I did part 2 as well in case you wanted to see how they fair on cardstock. Goodness did I learn a lot! lol
Love this, thank you. I want to start making cards for one of the groups to send to military members. They recommend glue because of the heat and dryness of where the cards are going. I usually use tape runners so I am glad I saw this before going out and buying glues.
An awesome testing. I USeD aileens and have for years love it. More recent I'd used glossy accents and tombo And liked them also. Been crafting over.20 Years .used aileens for least 10 to 12 yrs. Love it.
Art Glitter Glue is the BEST!!!!!!🥇🏆🏅 I have been using it for 23 YEARS!!!! It holds up Perfectly over Time! The Ultra Fine Metal Tip is a Must Have! I would LOVE to have that bottle if you’re giving it up!😍
Dawn, with all the love and respect I have for you . No WAY I'm giving that baby up. It's my new fave. Yay. Hahha I never even heard of it until recently. so glad I did this review
I did use the tacky glue to bond to water color pieces together and loved it but will be trying it out more in the future. I liked the art glitter glue a lot! Thanks so much!
Perfect timing for this video! I’ve been trying to figure out a more cost saving alternative than dry adhesive tapes. Never thought to use Aleene’s from years ago...time to go back to the basics.
Thank you for taking the time to make this video. You answered many of the questions I've had about some of these products. I am wondering about the tip you didn't get on the art glitter glue. Was it easy to figure out later?
Yes it was, the way that I did it in the video was correct and I felt that it was super fine when used; a great feature. I would recommend this glue for sure.
Thank you for your time putting this out there. I would love to see a comparison between the top ones as to how they work gluing paper to paper. Does the paper warp? How strong is the bond? How much time before you can’t adjust without ripping? The tacky glue surprised me, but I am not sure how it would perform paper to paper. It’s why I like my Art Glitter Glue- it bonds quickly with a tiny amount of glue. The extra fine tip prevents waste. Thanks again!
what a useful comparison, thank you for taking the time to do it. I have had the art glitter glue, a large refill, and the tip on my wish list for a while now. I think I will now go ahead with the purchase. I agree with some of the others, I really like the multi matte medium but it can get REALLY hard to squeeze
Hi Carolyn...I have a follow up video coming later today so be on the lookout. But you are safe to by the glitter glue, it's amazing! And I help to prove that in this upcoming video. I learned so much about glue! YAY
Here in 2024!! It seems you uploaded this video 4 years ago. Well, it's been 4 years and many more videos were made by others. But THIS, this one remains the best of them all. Thank you so much for such a comprehensive review.
WOW what a compliment! Thank you! Because of this video, I was introduced to Bearly Art Glue which is now one of my TOP favorities. It might be time for an updated video but dang...this took a while. hahaha Thanks again!
Great information and demo. I have to agree with Peter. I'd like to see how these glues react on paper. I find that some glues tend to wrinkle my paper/card stock. You have definably given me some alternatives that I will be trying out. Thanks so much.
Thanks so much!! You did a great job showing the differences . I use lots of different glues also....depending on the need and amount needed. Do love the art Glitter...! Thanks again
Another ArtGlitter glue lover here!!! I originally purchasedthis glue for the stained glass technique using acetate and loose glitter. Wow! It holds clear and strong, dries fairly fast, and I use it almost exclusively now. I taught card classes for years and have tried everything! I get the 8 oz. bottle and transfer into a small fine tip bottle and it lasts forever!
I use Art Glitter Glue and Nuvo for all my liquid glue needs, with one caveat: I use MMM for any heavy metal embellishments. A lot of people use Glossy Accents for those, but I like Ranger’s adhesive because it has a teeny bit of flexibility (if you’ve ever done book binding, you know how important a strong yet flexible glue is), and also because MMM contracts as it dries, meaning that it’s not going to be as obvious if a little oozes out. I’ve been curious about Aileen’s, as I like their fabric glue for tacking prior to sewing. It’s super flexible and holds well.
I love the Art Glitter glue with the metal fine tip. It is important to store the glue with that pin in the metal fine tip when not using it. The glue will come out with a tint of brown if you use the wrong metal pin. You can purchase replacements. I use the smallest bottle with the metal fine tip which is easier on my hand and keep refilling it from a larger refill bottle. So happy with this glue.
Great review! I started using Tombow mono glue when I first started paper crafting. Then I tried Art glitter glue. I absolutely love it. The lid on my cookie jar broke and I used art glitter glue and that lid lasted for over 1 1/2 years before it broke again. And it was used every day. No I did not have cookies inside. 😜 I also purchased thick chipboard organizers and I put them together with art glitter glue. They are still holding over 1 year and no signs of coming apart. It is a bit on the pricy side but you do get a lot for you money. The precision tip that you can buy separately can clog if you do not put the pin in after you have used it. But this is just this girls opinion. However with that said. After your review. I will purchase the Alleens glue for mats and layers and use my art glitter glue for my 3D paper projects and travel journals cause I know it is really strong. Thank you for sharing!
Leanne, I wasn't gonna judge about the cookies...I was gonna be jealous! Lol Thanks so muc hfor sharing all of this info. I did Part II just now so if you want to check that out it is up! Testing on cardstock!
Thank you for taking the time to do this test! I have wasted a lot of money trying to find the “right “ adhesive. Very helpful video. Love the Gina K glue but so little for so much $$
Thank you so much, Stella. I'm so glad it was helpful and useful! I agree with you on the smaller tubes of glue. I think we can find something a little more efficient!
I have found that Art Glitter Glue works well and lasts a LONG time. In the fall, i bought a small bottle with the precision tip to try. I made at least 75 multi-layer holiday and new year's cards with it and have used maybe an eighth of a 2 ounce bottle. Even though it's not cheap, it's less expensive than dry/snail adhesive. I also like the Multi Medium Matte, but it's hard to get precision with the tip on the small bottle and the (purchased) precision tip makes the bottle too hard to squeeze. I end up using it out of the jar with a toothpick.
Lara, awesome tips and input; thank you for that! I am really impressed with the Art glitter glue for sure, I will be using that in the future. I am also going to be switching between all these cool glues to see how they do on my card projects!
this is a phenominally helpful video, thanks for putting so much time and effort into it. not to mess up your effort but there is one more glue you may want to try, it's called yes glue, it's very thick it comes in a tub and you apply it with a tool, a brush, or stylus for example. it's clear, holds very well, dries fast, and best of all it will not wrinkle your paper, I used to be into dollhouse/miniatures before card making, and it's perfect for putting wallpaper in your dollhouse, it is a little expensive compared to what you've used, a 16 oz tub is $15.00 but a tub will last a lifetime, as somehow it never dries out in the tub, I've had one for about ten years that's good as new itis tacky, so it's great for foiling
Mary, thank you! You must have read my mind! I was standing at the kitchen sink doing dishes this morning and was thinking about glue. (Seriously!) I just bought the Nuvo glue and really like it, but I thought I wonder if it’s just a rip off, and if I could just use Elmer’s glue and it would work just as well? And, then I sat down to have my tea and watch a TH-cam video...and there you were with a glue comparison! AMAZING! I’ve also used the Lawn Fawn glue and really liked it as well...it did flow much easier than the Ranger MMM. Although MMM, works well with a fuller bottle, it does get harder to use as the bottle empties. (Although, I’ve noticed this issue with most glues). I haven’t had as much trouble as you seem to have with using MMM with a fine tip. I always clean off the tip with a baby wipe when I’m done using it, and I store it upside down. I forget which precision tip I have on it, but it does not have a pin it. Just has a little lid attached by a plastic string. I have heard if you like MMM but it clogs too much for you to try the Ranger Collage medium as it has the strength of MMM, but flows more easily. Thank you so much for this comparison video! I’ll look forward to your glue on paper comparison! 👩🎨💫🌈💛
Shelly, SUCH a helpful post thank you so much. Also, I am about to post my follow up video where I use all the same glues but glue them with cardstock. I hope you find that just as helpful. YAY Thanks again!
Great comparison. I use the glue all and love it) but have found that my googly eyes don't stick through the mail. I was also surprised how well the dollar store glue did -- Thanks!!
Judith, thank you so much for this! Part II is up if you want to see how they did on cardstock; got a bit of a different result for the dollar tree glue...lol I'm so glad it was helpful and thanks for sharing about the Glue All!
I haven’t found the Aleen’s glue but just got the art glitter glue with precision tip on amazon to try. Every thing else I have tried the top clogs or it comes out in a lump. This was very helpful. Thank you.
I,too, loved the video. Here's another bit of info about the Tombow glues. I love the green bottle. I was in the craft store and didn't see it so I bought the blue "aqua" one. I used the blue Tombow last night and found that it made my paper warp! I didn't use too much either. It happened on a second card too. Someone pointed out to me that the "aqua" dries clear and hard while the green dries white with a little flex and tack. I will use the "aqua" for sequins, buttons and other embellishments and the green for everything else, especially if I need a fine tip.
I have used Aleenes for many years, but tried Art Glitter Glue lately, found them to do a similar job, so it would be a price point decision between those 2 for me. TFS a well presented review.
Thanks so much for sharing this! My follow up video is coming today showing them on cardstock. I'm glad I split them up into 2 videos; so much to talk about!
Thank you ( a little belatedly) for doing this! Natasha Foote swears by the multi medium matte as it doesn't dry shiny if it squeezes out. She puts it in a smaller container and says it never clogs. I like it because it doesn't show.
I use beacon glues, art glitter glue and tear tape the most. FYI Alene’s can sometimes be found at Dollar Tree. Fabric tac is another all purpose great glue.
Huge Fan of Aleene’s Tacky Glue ~ I’ve Used It For YEARS 💫⭐️💫⭐️💫
Yes I was really impressed with it.

This was a great comparison video. One feature I would have liked to have seen tested, though, was how much the various adhesives wrinkled paper. Thanks for doing this!

Holly, just in case you don't see the other reply, Part 2 is here: th-cam.com/video/r-wMLKJLWv8/w-d-xo.html
Any tips?
Rrrr
I have used several of the glues you listed but like Art Glitter Glue the best out of all that I have tried. Thanks for taking the time to do this review.
You are most welcome, my pleasure. I learned so much about glue! lol
Nuvo, Tombow, and Art Glitter glue with the fine tip added......are my favorite glues. They perform so well. Once you glue on something with these glues they are are for life!!👍🏻
Thanks for your review of all of these glues. Well done!!❤️
Thanks so much Debbie! I agree so much on your choices; great glues! YAY!
Mary, loved this video! Didn’t think I’d learn so much. Thanks for all your work to do this for us!
Thanks so much, Kim. I learned a ton too, I was texting my friend as I was doing it and said just that. lol
I really appreciated your reviews of all the different glues. It will save me from picking a glue that'll end up failing. I've used Aileen's Tacky Glue for decades and will probably stick with it after watching your video. Thank you!
Sari, I'm so glad this was useful! If you haven't seen Part 2, I try them all out with cardstock too; that might help as well!
I have been wanting to see a glue comparison video. This one fit the bill perfectly. TFS.
Oh that makes me so happy! I did a part II where I tested them on cardstock. See if that one helps any too!
Liz, that helps a TON thank you so much! I so appreciate you taking the time for me. YAY! I won't screw it up! Thanks again!
thx for the tip
I absolutely loathe the fine tip. I put it on and it fell off. I go find youtube and follow instruction to twist and it falls off. Put Art Glitter glue in closet and throw tip away. I saw lots of reviews about the glue. I wish it worked. I hate to waste money.
@@MBExplores decant it into a small precision bottle, it really is the best glue
I was in search of a good glue because they always end up clogged and its so frustrating. I finally gave in and got the Art Glitter glue and I am so glad I did. My search is over! 😅 Art Glitter glue is ❤️❤️❤️! Thanks for this great review Mary!
Hi Cherryl!!! How are you?? I feel like we haven't talked in a while. So yes, I was super impressed by that glue too; it's a great one!
What types of things do u use it on ?
Ahhh! You must have read my mind!!! I’ve watched an embarrassing number of glue videos over the past two weeks to try and narrow down my choices. Thank you so much for making this-it’s been phenomenally helpful!! 😁
I'm so glad this was so helpful! I just posted Part II so check that out when you get time; it compared them and how they worked with cardstock!
Thank you, Mary. This has been a much needed video for me. There are so many glues out there in such a range of prices and I've been wondering if the more expensive glues are truly worth the price. You have certainly answered that question!
I'm so excited that it was useful for you. I needed to clear these things up for me in my head as well. I learned a lot!
I learned the hard way :-(
Donna Lipscomb, thank you. I live in Upstate NY, where it can be very cold, so I would order in nicer weather😊
Great video. Thought Tombow was the no.1-but the tacky glue size is more appealing just because of the size and you are not tossing umpteen small bottles/tubes away. Very helpful. Thankyou.
Oh I'm so glad this was helpful! I agree about the tons of bottles we could be tossing. Thanks so much for sharing this!
I have also found "Art Glitter Glue" to be my favorite liquid adhesive. It's just always so dependable.
Kim, so glad that everyone else had had such great results with it! YAY great glue!
Excellent Demonstration! I Wish More Artisans would dare to compare Products. Well Done! Lisa
Thank you for such a kind compliment! I really appreciate that Lisa
Wow you really put those glues to the test. Seriously wonderful and informative review. Thanks so much.
Oh good, i'm so glad it was useful! YAY! You are most welcome, Stacey!
Mainly the bigger bottles that are soft
To squeeze win out and despite the price Aleena’s has always been a solid go to brand!
Great video. As a new card maker, I am bewildered with what to use that is cost-effective. Thank you for having these videos.
Oh I'm SO happy this helped; I was hoping our new card makers would see it because it can be SO overwhelming and the 0.5 oz bottles are just way too expensive for how much you are getting.
As a rule I use Art Glitter Glue really like it and the speed it dries and it is clear and mat.
Thanks so much, Margie, yes I was really impressed with it!! :)
So sad that I cannot buy it in Holland and when I can find it on the internet, the price is so hight (incl. shipping), that I almost turn green :-(
I use art glitter glue it has been a game changer. I no longer use a tape runner at all. Drys fast and clear
You are most welcome, ,Tricia! It was my pleasure! Check out Part II if you haven't. We check them out on cardstock.
Thank you for doing all this hard work for us. I’d been wondering about trying some different glues and now you’ve done it for me. Now I’m off to watch Part 2. Thanks again!
Oh Yay! So glad it was helpful. It can be confusing out there in the glue world. Lol
Hi Gina!! I selected your name as a winner to get some glue! If you are interested, email me within 48 hours at merrymadecrafts2@gmail.com
Wanda, thank you so much for this! I have learned so much and so glad that the favorites I have are for a reason!
I usually use the Art Glitter Glue but I learned a lot from your video! Thanks for doing it!!!
You are most welcome, it's my pleasure! Thanks so much! I learned a ton too. haha
So very informative. Thanks for demonstrating the various brands of glue.
You are most welcome, Nicole! it was my pleasure. YAY!
Hey Nicole! Congrats! I selected your name as a winner to get some glue! If you are interested, email me within 48 hours at merrymadecrafts2@gmail.com
So glad you did this glue comparison, I’ve often wondered about the Elmer products as they’re everywhere. I use Aleenes since I like it’s bonding ability. I would like to get some Nuvo, with a precise soon tip.
Thanks so much, make sure you check out Part II because that is where we look at paper and glue
Very informative....... Thank you
A number of the glues I use clog so I have to clean the tip out after each use and I put a piece of plastic wrap at the bottle opening before I screw lid on.
I'm so glad that was helpful! I really want people to pay attention to the quantity vs pricing that's out there.
That's what my home ech. Teacher taught when I was growing up
I water down y Aleene's tacky glue for certain applications and it still sticks very well. You can also use the Tombow to make glue dots. Thank you for your thorough video.
Awesome tips, thank you so much Julie! I so appreciate this!
Sherrie, Part II might be of use to you as well; just posted it. Thanks so much for the feedback; this was so fun to do!
Thank you for sharing this. Very informative information. My fav is the art glitter glue because of the precision tip and fast drying. It also makes your papers stiffer for sturdier projects especially when layering. A little goes a long way. I do many of the different glues so thanks again for doing this comparison. Have a wonderful day.😊
Awesome feedback! I did a Part II if you want to check it out Art Glitter Glue was a top performer!
Yay!!!! My 2 favs made the list. Now you know why I use glue all and Aleenes: 1. I'm cheap and 2. They work. The other Elmer's don't stand the test of time. Aleenes is a great PVA bookbinding glue as well.
Yup yup...great glues. Thanks so much but I already KNEW you knew what you were talking about. Just had to prove it! lol
I've used just about every one of these glues. I kept going back to Art Glitter Glue. I miscalculated as well as forgot to reorder it and decided to try Bearly Art Glue. When I finish the last of Art Glitter, Bearly will step in and will let you know if I like it or not! TYFS!! 💖💖💖🌹🤓
You will love the Bearly Art..it's my fave!
Hi Mary. Thanks for the comparisons. I use Art Glitter.Glue, tombo mono, glossy accents and now, because of your review I will be using Alene’s Glue.
Thanks so much Holly, i really appreciate that. In part 2 i tested them all on cardstock; not sure if you wanted to check that out as well. :)
Best review on TH-cam.
Thank you so much, Leslie! I so appreciate you! I learned so much doing these reviews. And I just posted Part II if you want to check it out!
Thanks for doing this video I have been wondering about the different glues so you answered some of my questions . So thank you for that . The only one I didn't see that I have been wondering about is Fabritack. Well that is what they call it . Not sure why I see so many people use it for everything. Thank you again very informative .
I hadn't heard about the Fabritack until I did this video; i'll have to check it out Thank you so much! :)
Oh man! What a great, informative video! Loved every minute of this review. Will be hanging on to all this info. Gonna have to get me some of that Art Glitter Glue.
Sherrie, I'm SO glad this was helpful to you! YAY! I wanted to narrow down some of the most popular ones and I learned a ton!
Thank you Mary. That was very informative. Cost and adherence are the main factors I look for.
You are most welcome, Linda! It is my pleasure. Yes I agree, you don't want to even pay the cheapest price if it's not going to hold. Thanks for the comment!
Great review! It's nice to see them all compared.
Thanks so much, Jennifer. i'm so glad you found it useful!
Yes please I would love it! Thank you

2) I replace the pin that comes with the tip because it gets lost on my desk :-) I use a "stopper topper" which can be found at URL for the Etsy store....has lots of cute options: www.etsy.com/shop/MadeItSparkle?ref=simple-shop-header-name&listing_id=688749999
Such an efficient review. Thanks for taking the time to do this, We appreciate you!!
Oh what a great compliment, thank you so much! YAY
YES! I'm going to put my Tacky glue in a smaller bottle and see if I can get it to work that way! YAY! Cheap glue! lol
What a great idea, thank you for sharing this with us. You rock Mary!
Aww thanks, Amy! I am so glad it was helpful. Check out Part II as well so that youc an see how they work on cardstock; that was eye opening for me!
How great an idea you have had. Love the review, love the way you presented it. You speak very well. Thank you.
Oh wow, Bell, such an awesome compliment; thank you so very much!
I enjoyed this video. It was great to see the comparison between the glues. And I agree with you about the environment.
Thanks so much, Denise! I so appreciate your kind comments and so glad it was useful. I learned a ton!
I was surprised the Elmers craft bond didn't do better. Thanks for taking the time to research and then share with us.
Andi, I was so surprised too; for that price I paid. Really disappointing.
I would love to try the Art Glitter glue also the lawn fawn. Love your review!!
Good choices! the Art glitter glue impressed me.
Thanks for taking the time to do the comparison!
My pleasure! :)
I am an Art Glitter Glue girl too. This is a very good video! Thanks for doing it!
Thank you so much!!! I did part 2 also if you want to check that out too. :)
@@CraftingWhileCaffeinated Ooooh I have to try it out! YAY more glue!
Thank you so much for all the info. I have wondered about some of the glues that you went over. Now I can make better decisions. Have a great day 😀

Very interesting glue test! Art Glitter glue is the one I use. But I also have Aleene's on hand....glad to see all of your results! Thanks so much for sharing! 😍~Suzy ~

@@marypolancodesigns thank you! I'll be checking that out soon!!
My favorite is the art glitter glue. I absolutely love it. Great review!
Thank you so much, and yes I would agree with that choice! Awesome glue!
Love this, thank you. I want to start making cards for one of the groups to send to military members. They recommend glue because of the heat and dryness of where the cards are going. I usually use tape runners so I am glad I saw this before going out and buying glues.
Yes indeed, glue is better than tape runner for sure. It's so hot over there!
@mrsseahag That is so awesome to send cards to military members. Where would I find out to do something like this ? Thank you.
An awesome testing. I USeD aileens and have for years love it. More recent I'd used glossy accents and tombo And liked them also. Been crafting over.20 Years .used aileens for least 10 to 12 yrs. Love it.
I thought that was a great glue! I learned so much about glue doing these. lol
Art Glitter Glue is the BEST!!!!!!🥇🏆🏅
I have been using it for 23 YEARS!!!!
Awesome review on all of the glues!!! Thank you!! I totally forgot I have Aleene's tacky glue and who knew Elmers glue all would work so well?!! 💕
I know right, I can't wait to try it out in the follow up video when I use it with cardstock!
Thanks for sharing this video. I usually use the art glitter glue (and love it), but will try the Tacky Glue for cards and tags, thanks to your video.
YES, and I have a follow up video coming today to talk about how they bond to cardstock! YAY !
Thank you!
This has been very informative thank you so much for sharing. I have to say my go to glue has been art glitter glue, I love the bond.
You are most welcome. I really did love it; very impressed with it.
Can these adhesives be used on fabric?
Awesome information. Ty for taking the time to show this to us.
You are most welcome, Kris; my pleasure! So glad it was useful!
Great information and demo. I have to agree with Peter. I'd like to see how these glues react on paper. I find that some glues tend to wrinkle my paper/card stock. You have definably given me some alternatives that I will be trying out. Thanks so much.
Check out part 2 of the glue review. That goes over strictly paper. 😊
Thanks so much!! You did a great job showing the differences . I use lots of different glues also....depending on the need and amount needed. Do love the art Glitter...! Thanks again
Yes I don't think I could ever have just ONE glue! I have different needs! lol
Yes Cindi! I agree with all this. It's so great and surely does seem to last forever! I like Bearly Art Glue equally as much!
Thank you so much, so sorry it took me 2 years to respond; don't know how I missed this!
Thanks so much for doing this! I learned a few features I wasn't aware of. Very helpful!
You are most welcome, Paula. Check out Part 2 because we go over cardstock and how they fair!
Great video Mary. Thank you for such a detailed comparison.
You are most welcome, Jennifer. It was my pleasure
Very helpful! Thanks for the side by side comparison.
Linda, so glad it was useful! YAY!
Thanks so much for letting us know this tip; I have it stored with the pin in it right now. I really like that glue so far; impressed! Thanks again!
Thanks for your review of these adhesives and the links to purchase. :)
It was my pleasure, Mary Kay! I learned a lot myself! Thanks so much!
Ty Mary for that excellent comparison
You are most welcome, Jenifer, my pleasure!
this is a phenominally helpful video, thanks for putting so much time and effort into it. not to mess up your effort but there is one more glue you may want to try, it's called yes glue, it's very thick it comes in a tub and you apply it with a tool, a brush, or stylus for example. it's clear, holds very well, dries fast, and best of all it will not wrinkle your paper, I used to be into dollhouse/miniatures before card making, and it's perfect for putting wallpaper in your dollhouse, it is a little expensive compared to what you've used, a 16 oz tub is $15.00 but a tub will last a lifetime, as somehow it never dries out in the tub, I've had one for about ten years that's good as new itis tacky, so it's great for foiling
Thank you so much for the share, Lisa! I will add it to my "to try" list. It's a bit long but I can't think of a better list. haha
Really interesting to know about all these different brands of glue.
I'm so glad it was useful thank you! I learned a lot!
Thank you.
Dana, so glad that was helpful! I love the art glitter glue with precision tip! I've been reaching for it a lot!
The tack on the green Tombow is also good for foiling and flocking. I've used it for that.
Absolutely! Thank you for that reminder. i need to do more foiling that way. YAY
LOVE these tips. I did a Part II on the glue review if you check that out too; linked it at the end of this video. Where i do a full test on paper.
@@marypolancodesigns I didn't get to part 2 yet.😞
I have used Aleenes for many years, but tried Art Glitter Glue lately, found them to do a similar job, so it would be a price point decision between those 2 for me. TFS a well presented review.
Thanks so much for sharing this! My follow up video is coming today showing them on cardstock. I'm glad I split them up into 2 videos; so much to talk about!
I generally use Aleen's Tacky Glue, but will use whatever is on sale. Thanks for this great glue comparison video.
You are most welcome and thank you for letting us know!
Thank you ( a little belatedly) for doing this! Natasha Foote swears by the multi medium matte as it doesn't dry shiny if it squeezes out. She puts it in a smaller container and says it never clogs. I like it because it doesn't show.
Great tip! That's awesome thank you so much! I love her and should do a collab! We have thrifty minds. lol
I use beacon glues, art glitter glue and tear tape the most. FYI Alene’s can sometimes be found at Dollar Tree. Fabric tac is another all purpose great glue.
Awesome thank you for all of this! Great tips!
