Yep, agreed great motor. Had mine for a year, its just different and still don't see many on the road. Hopefully this year can drive to more places in it!
Have you got the x engine? if so could you tell me what sort of economy you get and does it feel fairly responsive as I am thinking of getting one next month.
@@cmpillred277 37ish on an average journey I'd say with mix of town, country and carriage ways. Responsive? Not if you're used to turbo cars, it need 3k rpm on the dial really for any shove to be felt but 4-6 is very respectable. Below 3k is still fine for dawdling round town mind
@@MDubPolePosition I currently have an I30N so that may be a bit of a problem, my car is 275hp and I'm currently averaging 34mpg so 37mpg is a bit disappointing and a bit of a surprise would have expected the low 40s at least, the car looks so good inside and out it's a real shame it hasn't got a bit more go, they have a 2.5 turbo in the states shame they don't turbocharge the 2.0 skyactiv x.
@@cmpillred277 well yes, in that case, from your point of reference you might be disappointed by its performance. Mine is a fleet choice and is 10x more interesting than anything else on that list! The alternative was a 182 3 cylinder Focus which was a great car, but had a few Focus' now and wanted a change. The 3 looks the business and for me the Sky activ x was easily the best choice, but certainly doesn't go like an i30N and that turbo 3, different character from what I read, but doesn't matter as we don't get it!
@@MDubPolePosition The N is a great car but can't hold a candle to the Mazda 3 as far as interior quality is concerned that's what's tempting me. I'm getting a bit long in the tooth for hot hatches (I'm 65) so the combination of the looks and interior of the 3 is very tempting I'm sure I would soon get used to it's way of putting down the power and would drive it in a more relaxed manner which let's be honest in this country is all you can do most of the time.
Had this car for two years now, I absolutely love it 😊
Which Engine? Skyactiv X or the G
I have a gen3 sportnav. Overlooked in the UK but a surprisingly good car to drive. The DNA of the mx5 is definitely there and it reminds me of my 1993 Eunos roadster.
Only one problem with this car apart from storage space is that the charging point for your phone isn’t in the front.

The original W/D was great. Like most, I'd fast forward through the first 15 min. of Brewers silliness and go straight to the reason to watch: The great Ed China. BTW: Salads Mike, stick with the salads. lol

Mike has gotten double the size since he started the wheeler dealers. Not healthy.
Had mine a year and hate it, rubbish car, previous Focus was 10x better. Avoid it like the plague, ignore all the cliches about being MX5 like, it's crap! Looks good and thats about all.
Which model Sky Active X or Skyactive G? Who said its an MX5 never lol Maybe the Mazda 2 since its same weight...
