    I bought clear plastic masks that go around your ears and you can breathe!! I bought 50 of them & I’ve been handing them out to elderly people and clerks at grocery stores and hospital workers. Everyone is so grateful to be able to breath again while working & they like that everyone can see them smile again. The elderly really are grateful because it it hardest on them to breath through the cloth masks.

    I would like to be able to give these units 5 stars because they do work just fine so far. But what holds them back is the Smart Life app. I have worked for software companies most of my adult life and I know a thing or two about software. I am a technical writer (one of the good ones - not a failed programmer or someone who just fell into the field looking for a soft landing/easy gig and just writes up either obvious steps or non-sensical steps that are helpful to nobody.)

      Not a silly question, and the short answer is yes. If you go into the Alexa app, you can group them and then set up a routine, or use the voice command to turn them on or off as long as you're signed into the same account that as your sister's smart devices were added to. Good luck!

Alexa finds it and gosund app finds it but the plug stays in pairing mode with blue light flashing and won't respond to commands either voice or via app. Because i had previously used this plug I deleted it from my Gosund app and tried again but same thing happening. Any ideas welcome

    • @HandzforHire
      @HandzforHire  ปีที่แล้ว

      Donna, that's a tough one. There are a few different blinking patterns on the Gosund plug and each pattern means something different. Are you sure your blue light blinking pattern is the correct one for pairing? Also, did you start with the Gosund app first and then move to the Alexa app? I'm not 100% sure you can pair direct to Alexa the first time. Wish I could help more! • @HandzforHire
      @HandzforHire  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Definitely! If you have a light switch hooked up to an outlet, then you can just flip the switch on an off. In that case you wouldn't need a smart plug. If you want to put a light on a timer though, you can setup routines through smart life app, and it will turn on and off whenever you like. I hope that kind of answered your question. A switch will just turn the outlet on or off, so if there's no power at the outlet, then the smart plug will be unresponsive.

    video does assumes router is set to 2.4ghz. Please add tutorial on how to switch channels from 5.0 to 2.4 because this plug does not work on 5.0

    • @HandzforHire
      @HandzforHire  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Mike, you're right that it will only work on a 2.4 ghz bandwidth. I'll add that in my comments. I have a simultaneous dual band router that allows me to connect items at 2.4 ghz or 5.0 ghz at the same time. All the devices in my house that can't handle 5.0 ghz will default to the 2.4 ghz bandwidth. You might want to check what type of router you have. If you have it set to 5.0 ghz then it's my guess it's either a simultaneous or selectable dual band router. Simultaneous, you can go into your router settings and change it to both. Selectable you can go into your settings and switch back and forth between 2.4 and 5.0. Hopefully this article will tell you a little more about it www.howtogeek.com/222249/whats-the-difference-between-2.4-ghz-and-5-ghz-wi-fi-and-which-should-you-use/ Once you know your type of Router, you should be able to Google the make and brand to get the direction to either switch to 2.4 ghz or add 2.4 ghz to your network. I hope that helps!

      @@HandzforHire Thanks for the reply Jay.....it was spot on. My router runs dual band and optimizes contigent upon device and distance from router. • @HandzforHire
      @HandzforHire  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hmmm so weird. Do you have a new wireless router by any chance? The most common issue is that these plugs work on a 2.4 GHz frequency but sometimes they try to connect to the 5.0 GHz wireless network. In my house I have both 2.4 GHz and 5.0 GHz and have to choose the correct network to connect them to. Please let me know if that helps at all.

    • @HandzforHire
      @HandzforHire  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I'd say it's important to make sure it's trying to connect to your 2.4 GHz wifi. Sometimes we update routers and the only wifi signal being put out is 5 GHZ. You can contact your internet provider to ask how to setup 2.4 GHz at the same time a 5 GHz. That could be one reason. If that's not the case, then I'd contact GoSund direct (globalservice@gosund). They should be able to troubleshoot with you and if they can't fix it, then I'm sure they'd send you some new plugs.

      I'm sorry you're having such a hard time. I'm going to take guess that you might be trying to connect it to 5.0 GHz wifi frequency, but the Gosund only works on a 2.4 GHz frequency. When your wifi is setup, the signal can be sent through your house with a 2.4GHz and/or 5.0Ghz frequency. Some people have both setup, but some have one or the other. Most modems with a wifi router these days are equipped to do both. If you're not sure, you can probably give your internet provider a call and have them walk you through it to find out. I’m sorry you’re having a tough time. The smart plugs unfortunately only work on the 2.4 GHz frequency so I imagine that’s your problem. Most WiFi routers (even new) can broadcast in both 2.4 and 5 GHz. You can probably call tech support for your router to find out how to setup both. Once you know, I imagine everything will get fixed quickly. Good luck and let me know how it goes.

      Oh no. Have you changed or redone the wifi router in your house recently? These only connect to 2.4 GHz bandwidth, not 5.0 GHz.
