Beautiful truck, perfect stance and bodylines. GM knocked it out the ballpark so far in these years that it looks sweet no matter what you do with this truck.
I love how the front of the bed in bent towards the cab - it was USED! Great truck. I have a '68 Ford F-100 with a 427FE stroker, and I love it. And yes, you can't go anywhere without being asked about it...that's the fun. Enjoy!
Just detail the entire truck and clear coat the paint! Replacing the seat would be optional for me. But the seat could be worn more than the video shows. A good daily driver !
It’s real easy to tell what transmission you have, does it have a kick down rod by the carburetor or electric switch under the dash mounted on the gas pedal. Switch mean Turbo 400
If you’re going to restore the interior and engine compartment as you indicated, then I’d probably give equal treatment to the exterior. If you want to do a patina’d truck, then I’d leave the interior and engine bay a bit rustic as well! Frankly, that thing looks to be in such nice condition it deserves a proper restoration - save your “patina truck” for one where some raggedy sheet metal fits right in……..👍
"Patina" means too broke to afford a paint job. Restore it and drive it proudly. Never ruin a truck by lowering it or by clear coating rust , dents and scratches.

I used to own a 1968 pretty much like that only green. I miss that truck
This is my 1st of that era. Absolutely love it!
I'm not a huge "patina" guy normally, but this one I like! I'd leave 'er for a while at least...

Leave it alone. It’s a real truck.

The pans are also quite different.
