When he's talking about chemical reactions, "the faster they undergo change, the more violent" its about him in the drug business. He's changing as a man and becoming increasingly more violent and dangerous as seen with Tuco. This shows writing is insane

I love watching people watch this show because I live in Abq. The seedy motel is called the Crossroads. You can find it at Central and I-25. Tuco's hideout is actually a cafe called Java Joe's that I used to frequent when I worked close by. They often had live musicians, just because it was a Tuesday. Nice place.
Weed is now legal in NM. There are already more cannabis shops than Starbucks in Abq, and it's only been legal since April 2022.

The writing in this show should be used as a “how to” for screen writing. It’s the very rare example of a show starting strong and it just gets better, and better and better. It never falters, it never drags, it’s just progresses in the best way possible. It’s sheer perfection. I’ve watched it through many times and it just gets better each time too. You’re in for one hell of a fun ride.
I just look at what Skyler is doing as, she’s pregnant, she’s under a lot of stress. And she’s actually worried she will lose her husband. Granted it is his decision, and she isn’t going about it the right way. But it shows she’s human and cares
Walt Jr's character doesn't get enough respect. He's actually disabled in real life but also a tremendous actor.

This show (and the prequel Better Call Saul) is all about the details. The classroom lesson in the beginning leads into what happens at the end of the episode, and that's not the last time that happens.
Man,I have watched so many BB reactors and you are truly the best!! Your enthusiasm and genuine reacts: facial expressions and recognizing the great detail and writing (subtle stuff that you mentioned) and remembering stuff that happened before connecting to what's going on now is so off the chain. I can kinda see why Skylar annoys you but shes alright. I agree that he shouldn't have been put on the spot at that stupid group thing but his answer was awesome and that they cut to him and Jesse at rv while he answered. And I agree with you......Jesse and walt's interactions are so supreme--thats why Vince decided not to kill off the Jesse chatacter--because Aaron Paul was so good and their chemistry (no pun intended) was so amazing. And another thing you noticed during the selling montage that it showed all the different kind of people that buys crystal. Once again hank drops one of his classic one liners--about principals ass. And hell no hank doesn't suspect walt--walt is a nerd in his eyes. Yeah so fucked they arrested hugo. And I love you "got it" when they were playing poker--all the lines that were in connection with walt "it's down to walt and hank" in the card game but it is an analogy. You're so awesome!!

I think your reaction to Skyler's actions is entirely understandable, I probably felt the same myself at that point) but from her pov it's pretty fucked up cause she can sense something is wrong, other than the cancer and she's desperate

I watched the premier showing and was hooked, I told everyone I knew "you have to watch this, it is the best show ever created" , nobody watched. Then at the end of the first season I was completed addicted, because the quality of every aspect of this show was outstanding. Then at the end of the season I could not wait for season two! Then AMC Channel canceled Breaking Bad. I could not believe it. then it won an Emmy and they brought it back. Crazy
Yeah, its good and it just keeps getting better all the way to the end. Plus, you will love El Camino and Better call Saul too !! and I hope you do all of it.

This is when the show hits its stride and never lets up! Amazing.
I’ve never had a family member die from cancer or had to deal with anything like that, but I think all the chemo stuff and group therapy sessions is more for herself. I’m a trained medic and usually when someone gets really fucked up the family freaks out more than the patient. The family becomes additional patients so she just gotta find something for herself to do.

The stellar writing give us layers and analogies. Nothing written is by accident - call backs, call forwards, analogies, & layers. [No Spoilers] As you progress through the series you begin to notice the analogies also have layers. Avoid "Better Call Saul" until you finish BrBa & El Camino to make sure you avoid analogies, layers, and spoilers. Release order date for viewing is acceptable. This show is highly re-watchable.
*THIS EPISODE:* Enter Bad-Ass Heisenberg and the building trembles. No show is perfectly written. Some argue "How the hell did Walter deal with that explosion?" To that I respond with "Walter wasn't dealing with that explosion. That explosion was dealing with Heisenberg!"
Yes the little details in this show are good it's very detailed. The poker bluff relating to the situation, the lesson Walt teaches at the start relating to the ending.

This is the episode where Walter truly finds his courage and establishes himself as a genuine force to be reckoned with! His transition from teacher to criminal is really fun to watch.
EDIT: Also totally agree about Skyler, she annoys the hell out of me for most of the show lol. A lot of people like her but I find her to be very selfish and kind of dumb personally.
i used to think that about skyler first timw i watched the show. but o a re-watch she isn't annoying at all. she endured a hell or a lot for her situation.
@@anezzzz A big part of why I dislike her is actually because she endured for so long, don't want to get into spoilers just in case Primate reads them but she's willing to do very bad things to the people she's closest to and has a vindictive side to her that shows whenever someone angers her. Obviously she's nowhere near as bad as Walter but she's not a great person either IMO.

"You guilt tripped him into chemo" like he is a grown man if he didn't want to do it he shouldn't have. Yes she was really aggressive during their family talk but after that Walt made his point very clear why he doesn't want to do it and it seemed like the conversation was over after that. They didn't talk again after and Walt decided all on his own to do the Chemo. Was he swayed by what his wife and son said? Yes maybe but after he said his piece the night before none of them tried to continue to convince him. They seemed like they accepted it until Walt changed his opinion on it again the next morning.

I love Walter’s “hell yeah” moment in the car. I feel like a lot of older men make themselves small for the comfort of their partners and family. Work, meds, back pain, repeat. But to have a moment that makes them feel bad ass again. Love it. My dad is 60 and jumps off cliffs for fun. People always ask me if it bothers me. I always say no, because my dad who turned his whole life into work and providing, deserves his “hell yeah” moments
