Oh my....I'm a 70 year old grandma from MT....I laughed SO hard at the Starlink "We are from the future!"....carry on young ppl! I ❤ watching your journey! 🤗
Rent/ borrow, a hammer drill, n put in rebar, into the rock of the mountain...can be used for the "a- frame as a tie-down! Put an " L" or a loop on the end above ground to tie to...in the drilled holes put " Mason construction adhesive " it will hold thru most micro bursts in the mountain areas!! Good luck!!
I don’t comment often, but I’ve been watching you since the wall art videos and wanted to say how much I enjoy watching your journey. The bullet journalling, jewellery, cooking, camping, off grid living… it’s all so well put together and enjoyable to watch. And now bathroom spray! 🚽Thanks for all of the entertainment. ❤️
"it leaves you feeling... bright" had me crying 😂 I once took a bath with too much peppermint and I was shivering the whole time despite the scalding hot water! Wouldn't want to learn that lesson with your spray either ha!
I rarely comment because I watch so many channels but I also rarely miss an episode and always give you two a thumbs up. Videos like this are always well done and informative; but it's just cool to watch as you create your future. I know there was a pressing issue with the wind and the urge to really hustle was strong. But even under these circumstances I encourage Barron to be mindful of how he is picking up and slinging around those water containers. You're young and strong now but the goal is to get to old and strong... Best wishes to both of you!
Your story ths week reminded me of one of my architectural designer heroes, Andrew Geller. His first Reese house (an A-frame) survived a hurricane except for its eroded foundation. I could not find the newspaper photo of it tonight but when you have some leisure time you might enjoy searching out the quirky portfolio of Andrew Geller for inspiration. Folks such as yourselves deserve a special place to live! best regards, Rich
I loved the intense music in the background of the weather parts. Holy cow I held my breath when Barron was up on a freaking stick (it’s what it looked like), attaching the sheet metal - *gulp! Love your stuff as always!
I so much wanted this to be longer! LOL But Thank you for the entertainment, the suspense, and the "you sound neither terrified or excited" which is what I say to my husband ALL THE TIME. He is so monotone 🤣You two are so much a favorite couple of mine! Thank you for all you do and for sharing it along the way! (BTW, I watched the Starlink satellites pass over my house like 6 months ago! It was SO cool!)
his eyes are beautiful.....go Elsa! You got you a hunk! My eyes are blue but I have never seen blue eyes that beautiful. they are like an icy blue close to a white-ish color
LOVED THIS VIDEO but the ending absolutely just made it 100% better 😂 Will be making this concoction before I get back on the road in June, THANK YOU!!
Elsa, kudos for the butt spray mini tutorial. Ive been doing the same thing for about 10 years since the hubby and I hit the road. Add some aloe vera and youve got instant hand sanitizer and moisturizer. here's a tip - no Vitamin E? Use a few drops of coconut oil (anti-microbe boost) or Avocado oil (great Vitamin E substitute) from the kitchen set up. Happy Spring! Cant wait to see the Aframe build continue. Inspired fer sure!
I'm so happy your frame didn't blow down, nor break your windows and etc. Also congratulations on getting your Starlink! And your well pumping water! It's great watching you both reach all these wonderful off grid sustainable goals! I will try your spray Elsa. Thank you.
I’ve always appreciated the music you use in your videos and how you use it. The cartoon-esq music for the wind storm prep was just perfect! The ring was gorgeous! Thanks for the butt spray recipe, I’m going to make some. Great video, thanks so much!
We are still hoping and praying for our well & Starlink. It's been some crazy a$$ winds in NE AZ as well - wow! Elsa, beautiful ring and thank you for the recipe :)
I spent the winter outside during the "polar vortex" and the thing that saved me was the old double blanket system. The outer comforter froze and created an igloo type shell. I wouldn't say warm and toasty, but sustainable. Cheers guys.
Crazy intense weather is our new normal. It reroutes our plans often. Very encouraging and inspiring to share our stories and strategies with each other. Great video!! THX :)
Hey guys! keep up the great work....I appreciate the off grid and deep ecology that you strive for...I live between Taos and the Co. border on an off grid organic farm that I started some years ago...I am a permaculturalist and have specialized here in high altitude sustainable gardens and orchards for many years...I would be happy to donate a consultation re: creating windbreak and micro oases that are appropriate for our climate...I also work with drip and appropriate, pinpoint irrigation....Be in touch if that could be helpful...Otherwise, enjoy and keep thrivin!
That storm hit so fast! And you all worked fast to keep the A-frame standing! I'm so glad everything was saved. Haven't tried your "freshen up" spray yet because I'll have to pretty much get everything. It sounds amazing and I have friends who camp. (I make food and pack and SEND people camping so I can have the house to myself.) Can't wait to get feedback from them. Northern Utah is still a bit brisk for family camping with small children so I have a few weeks to gather the materials. Thanks so much!
Just to let you know I have tried the butte' spray and it is amazing! Passed it on to several family members. Funny story: my 2 year old niece asked her mom for the butt spray that her grandmother had used to wipe her clean. Mom had no idea what she was talking about until she mentioned it to grandmother. It will now be in her bathroom ready to use!
I’ve been using that peppermint spray on the bed, in the bed, on the sheer curtains to air the room, on my boots or pant legs to ward off ticks and chiggers and I hang a spray bottle of it by the toilet to moisten tissue for that fresh clean feeling.
Try the methods that are used at a place called Echo Beach resort, near Broome, Australia, they rebuilt the property after a cyclone almost wiped out the place. They bolted the buildings via cables into the ground, or in your case maybe via rocks, etc will send you the link, Judy from OZ
Way to save the A-frame! What type of stone in that GORGEOUS ring you made! Your rings are soooo pretty! You’ve come a long way since the first ring making video :-) love that craft office;)
Great video. The music made the storm even more intense. Very cool! The A-frame is going to be awesome. You're so cute with that squirt bottle. And you 100% correct it makes you very clean. I've been doing that for about 3 years now. Those flushable wipes get very expensive. Looks like k a m p is loving his company. The new house is going to be great. And it looks plenty big enough to me. I enjoyed this video see y'all in the next one.
A best practice for generators is to start and stop them with no electrical load. Best to leave things unplugged until running smoothly and unplug prior to shutting off. Your generator will love you.
Elsa thanks so much for suggesting a frothier so many times. Finally got one for carob powder in cold soy milk and voila, totally mixed and no residue and froth was fantastic. Thanks so much.
Always appreciated you both so much!! I think you fulfill the wild spirit in all my family! Eventually we'll all he off to all out own adventures. But I really appreciate all your videoa

Wow, the music is really selling the experience!
I love you guys
Because
Even a million of you wouldn’t hurt this planet.
God bless you
"it leaves you feeling... bright" had me crying 😂 I once took a bath with too much peppermint and I was shivering the whole time despite the scalding hot water! Wouldn't want to learn that lesson with your spray either ha!
It’s amazing how oblivious dogs are and yet the humans are doing everything in their power to save this very cool creation!

🤣butt spray! Will definitely give it a try. Always looking for ways to keep fresh on the road!
It really is a great little hack to save on baby wipes!
I thought you said bug spray ! Then u started explaining and I was like ooooooh she said BUTT SPRAY
Epic LOL at the peppermint "fresh" comment. I use peppermint body wash for that very reason.
Wow! That’s some crazy weather! Hoomans-“freaky & exciting”. Puppies-“dis is great”. Glad the a frame stayed in place 😊❤️

I admire you for your willingness to live there!! Atleast you know what you are in for!
Getting ready for the wind storm reminded me of getting ready for a hurricane down here on the Gulf Coast. I'm glad it all worked out for you.
pure madness. fitting music.
You guys are the best. Love ya much
I see where there is wisdom in building a cement home there! It seems the storms can be quite blustery!
Should have done this one in B/W! Music kept me on edge! Felt as if I were sitting in a movie house nervously eating my popcorn!
And I’ve been complains about the 25-30 mph winds we are having in Wisconsin! Stay safe out there!
The wind always blows in some adventures! Cheers Barron and Elsa!!
Thank you always!!

The amount of suspense in this episode is unreasonable

Happy Birthday Elsa!!! Congratulations to the three of you on your one year landaversary and also Happy Earth Day! 🌍
his eyes are beautiful.....go Elsa! You got you a hunk! My eyes are blue but I have never seen blue eyes that beautiful. they are like an icy blue close to a white-ish color

Great video! 😊
I live in New Mexico and was traveling from Albuquerque to Farmington during the windstorm and it was wild.
I spent the winter outside during the "polar vortex" and the thing that saved me was the old double blanket system. The outer comforter froze and created an igloo type shell. I wouldn't say warm and toasty, but sustainable. Cheers guys.
You guys work very well together. That was some storm

@@0HARE thanks for pointing that out, must have been a typo. Sorry Barron! 😝
Tent stakes work great for anchoring the Starlink dish mount to the ground.

What a beautiful view, hope you get to pour concrete soon. Get those walls up and move in before winter. This is so exciting.
