This will be my 55th year. We sold our home that we built to start our next chapter renovating a lake front property. Age is a number. At no age are we guaranteed tomorrow. :-)
Agree, it’s never too late to change your life. We build a huge family home more than 30 years ago and thought we’d be there forever. After 30 years, we recently moved cross country for various reasons including being closer to family and huge downsizing. We couldn’t be happier with our decision as we rise each morning to views of snow capped Sierras. It’s of course, not without lots of motivation and effort but we you decide to make a change for improving your life, having a mor3 efficient living space with beautiful surroundings…..it’s all worth the effort!
Sooooo exciting!! I am 72 years old and if I had my life to live over, I would have not married who I did at age 22 and I would have followed my "hippie" inclinations and lived off the land. Ah, well, 20/20 hindsight. So I live again through your adventures and send you much love and supportive energy❤️💙🌈

As a mason myself i have run into a few hiccups over the years, but if there is one thing that I have learned, don’t get down on yourself when mistakes happen or unforeseen problems arise, just learn from it and know that anything can be fixed with good old fashion hard work
Im going to be 61 this month. When I was 57 after beating Kidney cancer and finding out I had congestive heart failure the year before. I decided heck with living my life just sitting at home. I got rid of everything and bought my 25 foot 1994 class A Winnebago Warrior. Then my Dog Tinkerbell and I hit the road. Been living on the road now for 4 years filming our adventures. Im so happy to really be living! This lifestyle is my Dream! I have been able to experience and see so much! I am happy you guys are also living your best life! Congratulations on getting your foundation started!
I can't tell you how excited I am for you, and how much you guys elevate my outlook. I'm almost 50 and just lost my job 3 days ago after 11 dedicated years with no severance, and am feeling all the feelings you have: fear, grief, heartbreak... I know this the an opportunity to start anew, and I'm hoping the heart palpitations will subside soon so I can hunker down and really get excited over my next chapter. Anyway, thanks for making me feel better! ❤❤❤
I'm going through a similar situation that I never could have foreseen. The grief and heartbreak and terror are all too real, but I hope to be able to get ready to hunker down and feel excited for the next chapter. It's so hard! And so necessary. Rooting for us all!

My husband and I are 60 and 61. We’re retiring, selling our house and moving from NH to Oregon to be closer to family. We’re in the process of building a 750 sq ft house. It’s exciting and scary all at once! I’m ready for a new adventure!
I have been watching y’all for 4-5 years now and love your journey! I have traveled off grid when I was younger, well 😂we will say for about a good 9-10 years maybe a little more then that. I have been back on the grid for about 13 years give or take and sorely miss the adventure, the beauty of nature, the freedom to just think of a place and go. I have a 3 year plan to do my nomad life again😁and I am very excited about it! I came back home to recover from 5 major surgeries, see my daughters and grandson and at 52 I am ready to be back out on the road again. Y’all inspire me and love your vlogs very much!😢
Looking good.. My wife and I are building a Timber Frame cabin in the mountains near Flagstaff Az. We're 65 years old. We've rented our entire lives. We bought the property 6 years ago so it's taking much longer than we expected. Enjoy the process, don't think that it all has to come together like you planned or on the timeline that you thought it would. I milled all the lumber myself, made the tools to do the joinery. I'm a Blacksmith and Timber Framer (now). Just bought a new mill that will be delivered next week.. Leaving on Friday to work on it for 2-3 weeks. It's 750 miles away from our current "home" . Good luck.

You are both such an inspiration, and on so many levels! ❤ The "end of the month" review/reflection, instead of "end of the year" sounds like a great idea, as so many, and different, things will happen every month when building a new house/home, and all that comes with it. It's easy to document what happens, but it's the reflections that make us question the things we do (or don't do), and make us grow closer to the person and partner we want to be. The first videos I watched with you, about 1-1½ years ago, you were parked far away from everything, and with snow and ice mounting up outside the tiny camper, and I got the feeling you were not at all acting in front of the camera, but just letting us be "a fly on the wall", and that instant feeling of honesty and how genuine you were, it all just caught me in the first video, and later videos just proved I got it right! From a tiny village here in Denmark, I truly wish you all the best ❤

Our house is old and we just cut a 5 foot hole in the floor, we discovered rot and have to jack up walls and replace the mud seal and floor Joyce’s. Not as exciting as a new build and a complete pain. We are doing the job ourselves. Summer is booked up with repairs. We did half the house last year. Dirty job to say the least.
