    Thanks for the video, My ninja IQ wouldn’t power up after plugging in. After watching the video, I just spun the ninja around banging the sides without taking it apart and it started working again!

      I would still do the switch clean up just to make sure is not clogged with debris to prevent it from failing again

    AWESOME EASY FIX, I just bought one of these used and noticed it wasn't making good contact , the sellers suggestion was "to jiggle, it works good" they lied and thank you. I found your video looking for the new switches for the older blender, thanks again, just finished 20 minutes, no money excellent.

    Thanks. That has fixed my issue. It was hardly a couple of months old when this happened and the power light wouldn’t come on. It was sitting unused for a year when I decided to open it up and then viewed your video. I was going to throw it out if it didn’t come on.

      You are welcome. Best thing to do to prevent this issue, is to try NOT to overfill the container. If you do, disconnect the blender, turn the motor part upside down and clean it ASAP before it drips into the switches.

    so the blender has 3 safety and you pointed at a different one that you are cleaning, the part you cleaned was a plastic part, but the switch still is activated and makes a click noise, so mine turns on but doesnt detect the cup and i know its the safety mechanism you pointed at because i un screw the 2 screws on it and one came out rusty,. i wish someone just show us how the board works and which are the safety cables so we can just tape them together, this whole safety thing its too much,

      @armexico2003 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@jazmiincoronado1817 yes i did, its working so well, dont have to worry about the safety anymore. So i open it up and i notice a cable going all around the blender and i fallow that cable going to the circuit board. So i know i just needed to cut that cable from both sides and finish the circuit putting it together, to fool the circuit board .i cut it i peal it a little and put it together and some electrical tape and a little fire from a lighter to be safe. .and now the blender its ready to use with cup or no cup.

    • @fixtheroof
      @fixtheroof  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Don't throw it away. It's probably something very simple. make sure the power is getting to the motor. Buy an electricity tester say home Depot for about $10 it makes a sound and lights up if the're is power. But ty Most likely a safety switch.

  • @fixtheroof
    @fixtheroof  6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Make sure you clean both switches. you may want to add a drop of WD-40 ( it will never touch your food) you may have to do it regularly and always clean any leakage after you use it. Good luck.

    What do you mean by clean? How??

    • @fixtheroof
      @fixtheroof  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      When you insert the cup with the blades ( and liquid) onto the motor part, you have to twist the cup in order to enable the blender to turn on when you twist it, you are actually activating a couple of small switches that prevent the blades from turning on without the cup.
      If the plastic cup has too much liquid it will leak and get into the small (safety) micro switch that allows you to turn the blender on
      once the liquid dries up, it eventually prevents the small switch from moving up and down (on/off) thus preventing the blender from turning on. Take a picture of the first set of screws that hold the bottom cover, and show it to the person at any hardware store and buy the proper screw driver or driver bit, that will allow you to remove the bottom cover, then, just follow the video. if you have problems contact me I'll guide you along over the phone.I hope it helps

    • @joelgorveattemusic
      @joelgorveattemusic 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@fixtheroof I have followed the video and have removed the main plastic, but how do you actually clean the switch?

    • @fixtheroof
      @fixtheroof  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@joelgorveattemusic first make sure you have found the switches, then move them up and down (a small driver) so you can see that they click (on/off) Wet a Q- tip ( cotton ear swabs) and clean the sticky stuff that causes the problem. (whatever is making the stick. Once they are clean, dry them with a hair drier and spray a tiny bit of WD-40 or a drop of oil used for electric beard trimmers. Just lubricate it. So the small switches can move freely again Good luck
